Verses 29 through 31 and verses 37 through 41 are not the same event. People will not be eating, drinking and getting married after the LORD pours out His wrath. The Scriptures are not always linear. You need no man to teach you. May the LORD anoint all who yearn for the knowledge of the truth. May the LORD be glorified. Amen
  • Genevieve on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
I think most Christians believe like i was taught, that we will not face any tribulation, but Read carefully verses 29,30,31. It says AFTER THE TRIBULATION. We will go through some of this, we will be here to witness to the lost!! I dont see any scripture that says I will come for the Bride before !!!!
  • Norm on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
The deceivers want all to believe there will be obvious warning before you are caught in Satan 's snare. Not sure about any 16 year old Scottish girl visions but the Scriptures make it crystal clear, both OT and NT, that the LORD will remove His Church or His Body PRIOR to pouring out His wrath. The LORD sternly warns those who mislead or are mislead in verses 48 through 51. Verses 29 through 31 and verses 37 through 41 are NOT the same event as one is obvious and the other is when people are eating, drinking and getting married. People will NOT be eating, drinking and getting married after the LORD pours out His wrath! May the LORD bless all who yearn for the knowledge of the truth. Amen

What about the generation that was born in 1948? That is a generation.
  • Rayvon on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
I agree that Jesus was talking to all believers past and present. To be mindful that everyday is nearing the last day, that we should live accordindly and not become slothful.
  • Splitter chikwez on Matthew 24:14 - 10 years ago
the good news that JESUS left should be preached in the whole world so that we may be saved
  • DLC on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago

  • James McQueen on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
Some Preachers and even Christians believe Matthew 24 tell about the things that happened when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem. I believe It 's telling our generation the signs to watch for before the end of the world. Because Jesus is telling us that the stars will fall from Heaven and the sun and moon will not give there light. Jesus says after these signs we will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds. Christ did not come back after Jerusalem was destroyed and the stars did not fall from Heaven. Jesus is talking about our generation and the signs to watch for.
  • Dayf on Matthew 24:34 - 10 years ago
...it means the sub-generations from Jesus Christ to we the last sub-generation would not come to an end before we see Jesus coming back. Jesus would come in this very sub-generation of ours.

Jesus Christ, son of God has a promised John 3 16 through His blood we are saved from sins, repent .We all travelers in this world as far we encounter troubles, problems and more logic in life.Base on it His grace we move for sanctification to be the chosen and be are name be written in the book of life Luke 10:20 .By focusing Jesus Christ as the center of our life.I believe that when we get closer to God and made fully understand the Jesus Christ is our Savior, there is more trials to encounter by faith.Keep holding tight and God will not forsaken and be saved

And there it is...consummate, indomitable, omnipotent....spoken by The Boss. People had better understand. The Almighty plays no games.
  • Johannès Rosaas on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
Jesus announces to His disciples the prophecies till the end of the world. Very informative.
  • Catherine on Matthew 24:35 - 10 years ago
This scripture is plainly saying, no infinite end to who God is and what he is all about, God of all Gods and Lord of all Lords.
  • MckingBird on Matthew 24:35 - 10 years ago
The word of the Lord shall stand forever !!!!
  • Motdaugrnds on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
This entire chapter speaks of the last days and how difficult it will be for even the most faithful to stay firm in belief. It also speaks of Jesus ' coming and how He gathers His people. This will not be secretive as other parts of the Scripture says "every eye shall see "...
  • Douglas Dinu on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
It is a wakeup call to all believers to be mindful of the end time.
  • NN on Matthew 24:35 - 10 years ago
The Lord is the ultimate God all in all to the whole creation, because He is the beginning and the end the first and the last, the Alpha and the Omega. the Author of all things thru out the Universe. In Jesus name, Amen!
  • Ar on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
Mike 's Matthew ch 24 verse 40 remark. You state no rapture and yet you refer to verse 40. This verse is talking about RAPTURE, and not about a Scottish girl 's vision
  • Brianna on Matthew 24:6 - 10 years ago
Though many of the stories we hear on the television are troubling, we should not lose faith in God. He we are foretold what the end would be like. We are merely seeing this prophecy come to life. Let us take courage in knowing that God 's time to act is near, and use this time to make a relationship with Jehovah God.
  • Shirley on Matthew 24:36 - 10 years ago
No one knows the time nor the hour! To those who are not believers is it not better to believe than not, than later find out after you are left behind wondering where have we gone to? I beg you, my friend pick up The Holy Bible and begin to read, then make your decision. Simple as that! Seek out your own salvation...no one can do it for you!
  • Ekechi jude on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
It is all about the sign of the end,nd also leting us to know that God is real and we should try to move close to him.
  • Marie on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
as in the days of noe, the lord god told noe that in 7 days the rains would come noe had to finish the ark and finish loading the supplies and animals then he entered as the rains began to fall, then the people realized this was true and it was too late for them. god 's wrath was literally being "poured out " upon them. same with the exodus, when the angel of death went thru the land it would have also taken the first born of Israel had they not had the blood on the door post. the rapture as people call it happens on the same day as the start of Armageddon. he told us that he would deliver us in that hour. that hour is the hour of HIS wrath. it tells us this lasts for one hour then he sets up the millennial kingdom. in verse 30 he says all the tribes of the earth shall mour, meaning everyone shall see him, as was told every eye shall behold him. there is no half way coming only HIS second coming.
  • April Carter on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
This passage proves all Zionists and pre-tribbers to be liars. Jesus makes it clear that all Christians will be persecuted by the Antichrist, and that persecution is the tribulation. After that tribulation, Jesus will return, true Christians will be raptured, and he will punish the wicked. Any teaching that says otherwise is of Satan, and is designed to get you to believe the Antichrist 's "gospel " instead of the real one.
  • Martha on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
Sharon, the best I can tell there is no scripture to back up a "secret rapture. " Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. My question is how does this happen if the people of God is not here?
  • Roxie redd on Matthew 24:5 - 10 years ago
Many will come saying they are God and followers of God but are a lie
  • Sharon on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
No believer will be spared from having to endure the hardships of the tribulation, but we will be equipped by God with the eyes of truth so we are not deceived. God will provide protection for his elect and upon Jesus ' return, we will be "raptured " as some call it. But first, the antichrist will have reign and tribulation will be endured by all. The trumpet sounding Jesus ' second coming is when the dead in Christ will be raised first and then those who have stood strong and not received the mark of deception during Satan 's reign will be drawn to Him. Those who have worshipped the antichrist and received his mark will receive God 's wrath and suffer the same punishment as Satan himself. Heaven and Earth will be made new and the elect will inherit the Earth. I truly believe the Earth will return to a similar form as in the days of Adam and Eve, minus the temptation of the serpent who has been forever banished to the fire. The world God intended it to be. A world without sin, with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ seated on the throne. Praise God!
  • Sharon on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
I have encountered controversy over many of the verses in this chapter. I was raised to believe in a secret rapture since I was a child, but this entire chapter speaks to the contrary. My questions are this if anyone can help. If believers will be removed during a secret rapture before the tribulation, why would Jesus provide this detailed warning that we will see the antichrist seated in the church and give us instructions to flee? 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, whoso readeth, let him understand: 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Satan will be given permission to wage war against the saints. If all have been raptured, then this would not be possible. A secret rapture would give discredit to the words of God. We all will face persecution from the antichrist. The world will be split between those deceived and the elect who see the truth as God reveals it. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Some believe that verse 40 and 41 prove a rapture. I see this as a symbolic verse of the split of the world. Those who follow the antichrist and those who refuse.
  • Word on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
This chapter is about the end and the events that will unfold. The subject is deception and who comes to deceive the whole world and who is that first one taken who left deceived into the deception by the antichrist all them that left the field the mill and all that are deceived chasing after antichrist. Why do they fall into the strong delusion and believe that this is Christ because they believe mans lies and were not prepared with the truth. Preachers have told people that Satan comes chopping off heads because they never read the word and never found out the truth that Satan comes transformed meaning disguised and his fallen angels come as ministers of light. Yes the locust army are priest that want to take you to Jesus but it 's not our Jesus it 's death and when the elect are delivered up its to death the son of perdition.
  • Paul masawa on Matthew 24:6 - 10 years ago
Just to add on what my fellows have said .True believers of jesus should not be threatened by what we are seing but let them be advantageous to us and also lets repent our sin
