GENESIS BEING THE BEGINNING OF ALL THE BOOKS IS THE FORFRONT OF STUDYING THE WORD OF GOD.

Genesis let us know how God created the universe in six days. The beginning of the world.

The answer to the question "Did God mean he created the universe in 7 literal days" has been answered. According to scriptureb God created plants on the third day. How long can plants survive without sunlight? God did not create the sun, moon and stars until the 4th day.

Not sure really, only to say this is Gods provision for man kind, he gave us every thing including the holy spirit, God provides, Jehovah Jireh :

In the creation account, God says "Let us create man in our image. "Us" is the Holy Trinity, that is God in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In John 1, we read, "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made. Jesus is the Living Word. "And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. God our Father is the creator, Jesus is the creator and Savior, the Holy Spirit is our guide and comforter. God is a Trinity. God in three persons, Holy Trinity.

Albert, regarding plural: God is the trinity, 3 persons in one God. The 2nd question is more difficult.

The first verse has an error, Its suppose to be: In The Beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. heavens, not heaven, its a common mistake, but its still an error, that can cost a lot in the long run.

6th day creation of man. Let"us" who is us? create man in "our" Plural image. Both male and female. chapter 2 speaks of generations before god "formed" man from the dust "Adam" and "formed" Woman from the rib of man"Eve". This confuses me about whether these were 2 separate events. God forming Adam and Eve specifically to create in the future the perfect seed for his return to earth in the flesh as "Christ". I take the word to be true but perhaps I am missing something here

Genesis 1 shows us the beauty of creation itself. I really like the book of Genesis as it shows the love our Lord has for us and the extent He will go to draw us to Him. Nothing can compare with creation, the wonder of creation is life not death.

It has been a several months since I read Genesis. Such an orderly calming chapter. How carefully God designed the heavens, the stars, the sun and the moon. The sea, the earth the vegetation the beasts the whales and other sea creatures. Man and woman and God said it was all good. He was happy with what he created. I like this chapter.

Does anybody know why it says the plants trees herbs bring forth after HIS kind? I subscribe to the idea that the King James Version is the most accurate and infallible Word of God- and only today did I notice that the other versions say, "after ITS kind" or "after THEIR kind" when referring to the vegetation. What significance does this have, if any? I think it is rather curious, but I have to assume that God used the words "after HIS kind" specifically, and for a reason. Thoughts? Jesus is light, life,oxygen with out it no creation alive on earth. God is at the beginning means God is 1 priority in our lifes First 7 days last him to create Earth. God 's 7. In response to Mockingbird's post, I have never seen or heard of anyone alive or dead that has ever created worlds, animals etc. We are not God's nor will we ever be.

on the 5th day God created great whales and every living creature that moves , which the waters brought forth abundantly,after their kind and every winged fowl after his kind.

I think that God has given us permission to do more than what we are currently doing. If our father is creator God, then we ought to be creating solutions for the world's problems. And they ought to be good solutions. We can not expect worthwhile solutions from the world because they don't regard God as father. All their solutions will always be lacking. Only Gods solutions will be Good. The onus therefore is on us to seek our fathers will and purpose. This is the the only solution to the world's dilemma. Jesus Christ saves. And he saves like no other.

God spoke faith : God is faith : We are made in the image of God : Therefore we , I can speak the same thing that God says in Faith and get the same results : What if God said that from this day forward every word you and I speak will automatically come to pass : a lot of us would die right on the spot : That tickeled me to death so we would say : instant death : So from now on I believe I should watch my words very carefully , seeing that God created all things by His words except for man He formed man with His own hands from the dust of the earth : Watching my words from now on !!!

it is only God who has the authority to speak to the problems which has become darkness in our lives, for his light glory to shine manifest in our lives.

It is good that God is a loving God that created man from the ground and the rest of the living like the animals and plants and even the Universe with all of the pretty stars and moon for people to see and appreciate.

God was talking to God, so if God did not talk to him self and reason to himself me and you, would never experience the existence

I believe in the word of God and I am growing. In reading Gen 1 vs 26 - the end of the chapter, I get a bit confused about God creating man in our image...in his image, he created male and female. Help me to understand making of male and female in chapter 1 vs making man and woman in chapter 2?

My favorite book on earth! I love this and look forward to reading bible every day. Keeps my mind on the right track, where I want to be!

I believe God is talking about He and Jesus : I am made after the image of God : I am not really smart enough to figure that out , So I will take God's word at face value : So therefore God has given to me to have dominion : Authority over all that He created : It does not have authority over me : For example : I go fishing and I command those fish to come to me . As also over all alse : I still have a way to go to be able to get this established in my heart !!!! I have dominion over all : God did not say over man : God doesn't have authority over man : He gave me the ability to make decisions : I choose to make those decisions with Holy Spirit help : That way , I know I made the right choice : I have God's word to be able to discern between that which is Good and evil !!!
