Is is the beginning of life on earth in six days. Each day gives a description of objects created and it's purpose. After each day of creation,God blesses the day he has made. In the image of God he created man to take care of his art in the way he visioned it.
  • Barbara Stewart on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Genesis is the beginning of our lives as God has created us, it is up to us once we have learned of God and all he is to us to obey his word. Our parents are held solely responsible for our upbringing in the church as children. My one way of thinking is at what point does it become our own responsibility to continue serving and the burden taken off the parents. God never left his son, ever.

The apostle Paul is demonstrating, in few words [ Eph 3:3], how to use ideas and patterns to get more information from the KJV text. For example, 2Peter 3:3 uses Knowing this first as a reference to the everlasting in Genesis 1:1, and days to represent the many times the first day has appeared, from everlasting to everlasting [ Psa 90:2].

You were able to understand the creation with reference to the soul and then it seems as if you lost track and started to think naturally. I would have liked to have seen you carry that through for the whole chapter. Keep up the good work. You are welcome to contact me in this regard if you so wish.

What a way to experience God's Liberty wherever His Spirit is. All that was created was empowered to bring forth a replication in such manner that pleases God, likewise man, who is to have dominion on all creation. God had already finished the race of man in Adam. Wow. What an awesome God He is. Hallelujah. May His purpose for creation spring forth with continuous obedience in our lives.

    God's inspiration.
  • Adenike Agboola on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
God spoke the creation to life. Everything He created was described explicitly and they took form and came to life just as He has described them. I taught for a long time that it was the power of imagination but today it occurred to me that the holy ghost who was with Him must have been at work.praise God! Thank God for the Holyghost. We can do nothing without the spirit of God!

If God offered mankind every thing He created, (according to Genesis 1) I think there is nothing good that He can withhold from us. Praise God for His unconditional LOVE for us. Thank you LORD.

Everything made by God was commanded to be fruitful, they obey till date.Man is not exempted, therefore, there is no reason why barreness should be accepted in any home or family.Fruitfulness is the beginning of dominion. So fight against it through prayer and fasting, faith, livingfor Him,reminding Him of His word and depending absolutely on Him.God cannot lie,He is faithful to His word.

George, 1John 5:7"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one. 1John 5:9"If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son." The "Word" is also Jesus. What you are asking is contrary to scripture. There is no difference between them..
  • Ann on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
It is amazing that God through wisdom gave the beginning creation in a manner to cover every things beginning and yet there"s room tto go and search for the how to apply your ability to multiply and live. This was the common factor for all things created on the earth (all living plant, animal and man).
  • George on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Why in GENESIS 1 we address GOD as GOD. In GENESIS we address GOD as the LORD in some cases and Lord in others. JESUS is also addressed as LORD/Lord. I was trying to find a Bible that address GOD as GOD " GENESIS 1" and JESUS as JESUS or just JESUS our Lord.
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Mockingbird, How do you explain Romans 11:33 "For of Him, through Him, and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever." If ALL THINGS are of the Lord, it would have to include all the things you have listed.
  • Okudo uzodimma on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago

  • Lyle on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
We find that there is a mixture of understanding written by Moses as he taught literally and metaphorically the beginning of the first day, literally God created the second heaven on this day with the earth which was under water until the third day meaning the gap theory is false. The light God created was the gospel of Jesus Christ as is taught in 11 Cor. 4:3-6 the darkness was not created yet
  • Natalie on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
What I find rather interesting is God creating the firmament. God wanted to create something to divide the waters, (in a vertical position). He made the firmament, and the word says that water was above it and water was below it. Then it goes on to tell us that this firmament is called heaven and in some translation sky. The lights were placed in the firmament which is quite a vast space.
