    Genesis 1:3 declares the creation of Light. Note however that it was not until Genesis 1:14 that God created the Sun and the heavenly bodies. Following chronology of creation, is Genesis 1:3 suggesting that there is a source of light other than the sun? Other than fire? Or is the verse simply metaphorical? This comment posts the question; what light was created on the first day?

    Question: 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it > "Replenish" the earth. I always thought at God created us for the first time.. but this implies that the earth is being "replenished".

    (10)But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Knowing where we are from, why we are here, where we are going is important. with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Do you have the testimony of Jesus Christ in your heart? You may have trouble following any of this if you do not . John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture... I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life

    So MUCH "parroting" of others' sayings, and guessing at the meaning of Scripture! Why is it so neglected to teach the younger to be quiet and wait on the Lord? Knowledge and understanding comes by continuing in the Word in reading and DOING; and by asking in prayer and waiting for growth and maturity; and by time and patience, through proving faithful by many trials. A novice has none of THESE!

  • Works of Old :Proverb 8:22-23(Morning) ily on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
    The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
    I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. The works of old is when things grow old and die and are reborn in a perpetual motion.(Time/this Universe)It started with let there be light. Death reigns here. But there was death with the darkness of the World Without End (World that was) .

    He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
    And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. Jesus Saves

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it. The term “for this “means: therefore. Therefore the subject matter before this line happened first. It is a comparison to Israel every night on why their soon destruction. • All in All on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
    Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
    That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:........ And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all
  • Love on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
    If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
    By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
  • Soul on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
    Soul means jeopardy of life. In other words ( in law) a danger of being on trial for a criminal offense. This is why we are here to find our wickedness and rid ourselves of it. So clearly man was put here to rid ourselves of sin. We should not blame Eve for our sins. We need to blame ourselves for our sins.

    Adam called her Eve.To him she was the Mother of all the living. He had never seen any other humans. They lived in the Garden of Eden.It is not confirmed by God.She is the Mother of all Promise which is the root word for living. It is also interesting that they became living souls.This is not mentioned in man created on day six.man in day 6 clearly were hunters. Adam was a farmer basically.

  • Word of the Lord on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
    For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
    He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
    By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the LORD:

    Washicd: Yes, most only see it as daytime,but without His Spirit, they're blinded by Darkness. What is troubling they can only read The Bible with worldly eyes. Then try to tell others what it says. They said a Prayer or point to a verse,or do this and believe their Saved: and many there be that go that way.
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
    Washicd, In Regards to Gen.1:3, "let there be light" You say" it is not the solar system". Gen.1:5 says it is;
    "And God called the light Day and the darkness he called Night. (he finishes this verse with;) And the evening and the morning were the first day." The "light" in verse 3, is in the context of daytime and night time, first day. You are adding to His words.
  • Washicd on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
    In Gen 1:3, God spoke. The result was Light, Truth, and Salvation the remedy for the situation in the previous verse for those who recognize and accept His Word. "In the beginning was the Word... the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not." I think it's a severe misunderstanding to think this chapter is a history of the solar system.
