I think the words "In the beginning" refers to our (human beings) history Only. I believe there are other histories we need not concern ourselves about. Angelic beings also has there own history because they existed even before the earth existed. So it will be gullible to think the first three word in genesis 1 is where it all started. What if our history is only one book in a vast library.

This is something to consider: Genesis 1:1 says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." But in John 1:3 Jesus says that he is the one who did this. So who is right?They both are because God is Jesus and Jesus is God. John 1:1 says it like this: "... and the Word was God." And too, this is what Thomas meant in John 20:28 when he called Jesus "My Lord and my God. Amen.

i think God on the first day when he said let there be light i think in the sense of reasoning his thought, design by which he determined structure of what the day would be. he created the light of the sun on the third day which is to give light on the earth

verse 29 Every herb bearing seed and fruit is human meat. What about verse 30 animal meat and fish meat are humans suppose to eat?

To replenish the earth, meaning to multiply, to fill, to finish, to complete.

Genesis 1 is a great guide in telling us what God has planned for the earth and our part in taking care of it. Replenish was God has plenished. HE created it first, we plant and harvest using what he's given.

Verse 26~Jehovah God created man in his image. The human creation was the only creation said to be made in his image.

We were told to replenish the earth. Does that mean it existed before?

Question! The sun and the moon were created day four! What was the light for day time and darkness for night that distinguished the day from the night?

Mike; its very dangerous business to want to use the Scriptures to support foolish human thinking. There is NOTHING in the Sacred Text to indicate that the moon was made as giving out her own light; but that God made it a "lesser light to rule the night" which it is and does. The idea of a flat earth is unscriptural: for God sits on the "circle of the earth." Its not a conspiracy made up by NASA!

Verse says, "God made " TWO" great lights". God says the moon is its own light. So you can throw your scientism out the window about the moon getting its light from the sun!! DONE!! RESEARCH God's flat earth!!

We were made in God's image so we can reflect the beautiful qualities that Jehovah God has. These qualities include love, justice, wisdom, compassion, kindness, and goodness just to name a few.
