Wow, a sea of controversy, with no apparant resolve in sight, we are all looking in the right area though for truth. The firmament is the visible varification to everything but our inability to clearly see it is the dilemma to our unity. At some point we have been diverted to the origin of the universe as the proclaimation of the source of the dispute, with no documented record of such an account. I wanted to share with you introduced (unknown) information that has been brought to my awareness that you might if found to be interesting, contemplate with your peers, information that would not only shed new light on this ancient question but resolve it as well… It is the best and most clear resolve to this dispute I have ever heard of, and as you know over the last hundred years or so we have heard a lot, to no end or resolve…
Apparently, according to this information we have fallen away from the ‘source’ of the entire dispute regarding the question of evolution or creation of the universe and/or man.
It is not a question of the origin of the universe, rather, according to the SOURCE, it is a question of a FIRMAMENT, that divided the waters from the waters (a mystery this info clearly resolved as well)… Regardless of ‘how’ the origin of the universe; Either way, It only evolved to a huge mass of formless and void rock, suspended in space, covered entirely with water, and UNTIL or UNLESS a firmament was made in the midst of the waters, this huge mass of rock would STILL, be formless and void, suspended in space, covered in water and furthermore, in a state or condition that could not sustain life as we know it ‘here’ to date…
Of course this is just a brief vision of what this reason of truth has to reveal but with just a little time at your leisure, you will find as I, this resolve will not only clearly show the firmament in truth but can restore the validity and authority of the ‘source’ itself…
This short but concise information was stumbled across at firmament-theresolvedotcom …
We are meant to clearly see His testament.
    Thank you for your time.

No Joey God Inspirict man to wright his word down in a Book what we call the Bible . God is a spirit and man wrote the word of God. In the spirit, and theirfore man or a woman hasn't to be filled with the spirit to under stand the word of God. Even thenthe spirit will only reavel what you need to now it.Turn to Jesus as your sover then you know what is tlling you in in his word

I don't mean to start something but there seem to be two different creation stories put side by side, or at least the same one told twice, but with differences. In chapter 1 for example, god makes no mention of the eve from a rib story, which makes me ponder whether or not that was originally there or added later. Second, in chpt. 1 God makes a firmmament between the waters and that becomes heaven, but heaven isn't a firmament is it? And what about the earth? Isn't that the firmament? Then god pulls all living creatures, winged birds and all out of the waters, but in chapter 2 he makes all living creatures out of the ground. These aren't a matter to be conceived as a misrepresentation of the aesthetics of the earth we know now, these appear to be plot holes ( for lack of a better term). Also in ch.1 the fowls and animals were created before man as were the tress, in chapter two they were created after so which is it? I really don't mean to be rude but these are as confusingly off to me as the contradicting stories of how Judas died in the gospels. I may be looking into these things too hard, but if this is the infallable truth, the absolutely incorruptable word of god given to man, then man must be an unfit interpreter.

Really In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
  • Garynewman on Genesis 1 - 14 years ago
Earth has 3 earth age. Creation Is. 45:19 Beautiful. Jeremaiah 4:20 destroyed. Through the word. Foundations has two translations (ge) beautiful earth) and foundations, katabole or casting down overthrow. Rev. 12:4 satan stole a third oGods children. God got mad. There are kenites, sons of cain amoung us.get a compaion Bible and read appendix 146 "worlds" oh! Yeah! Read them all.

Gen.1:1 is the most scientific scripture, with the most conclusive evidence, than any other, much less any other guesses by vain men, like Darwin. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. There is only 2 basic things , in this world all summed up, in this verse. There is only in this world "SPACE" and "MATTER"! "HEAVEN" and "EARTH" The heavens declare the glory of God.
  • Isaac on Genesis 1 - 14 years ago
The first light was Jesus Christ. On the fourth day, when the sun, moon, and stars were created then there is no need for the glory of the Lamb. Refer to Rev. 21:23. This is just in a nutshell explanation, but I assure you when we go over thru the Bible then you will truly understand the meaning of the passage.

OUR GOD IS POWERFUL AND ANYTHING HE DOES IS WISE, WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS VERY SMALL TO QUESTION. OBEY WHAT IS WRITTEN. ONE DAY YOU WILL SEE HIM IN HEAVEN THEN ASK HIM THIS FUNNY QUESTION
  • Bob Tucker on Genesis 1 - 14 years ago
We get lost in endless palaver about this and that and thus and so and never advance the "Gospel" not
even "one iota." We can know all there is to know about the Bible; we can quote it verbatim; we can know the Bible upside down and inside out, but if you don't know Jesus it is of no eternal value.

@lynn: darkness is not an entity but an absence of light. @bobbyj: obviously water WAS created in 1:1. any later mention of water is in the context that it had already been created. @charles: it doesn't seem to me to be confusing. it seems like He was taking special care to create the earth, like a sculptor w/ clay. @insight: how you claim for earth's creation to NOT have happened, is precisely how God dictated it to moses. where is the scriptural evidence for a "first earth age"? this verse is difficult for us to understand because its impossible to fathom the earth not looking like the earth to our human eyes.
  • INSIGHT on Genesis 1:2 - 14 years ago
Hello! You are right Charles, God did not create the earth without form, void, and in darkness, with water everwhere. God created the accorded to Isa 45:18,19. There was an earth age before the age, in which God created Adam and Eve. Its called the first earth age. Adam and Eve was created in the second earth age.
  • Steve on Genesis 1 - 14 years ago
For comment about light. It is not redundant. The first light is Jesus (the light of the world). The dark is Satan. Realize verse 2, God did not create the earth without and void, it became that from the first earth age from Satan and the over throw. In Revelation 22.5 "and there shall be no light there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the LORD God giveth them light: and they shall rein for ever and ever". You should check out these things, and rightly divide the word of God.

  • DannyG on Genesis 1 - 14 years ago
So let me get the order straight here: Day 1 god created light. A few days later two lights were created, one for day and one for night. Doesn't this show that the authors of this book didn't have a clue about the universe?

Sometimes in life you hope for the chance to mend a broken heart. Get a chance to say unspoken words that you wish you could have said. As life goes on you change, you grow. You become the person you always wanted to be and just maybe what someone else needed you to be but at the time you weren't. And maybe, just maybe if they knew that you were that person now would the great love you once shared, the greatest of loves find away together again. And you hope, you pray knowing that you were that persons greatest love. Could they come back to you if they knew that you changed, you were now the person they needed you to be back then. And you wonder if your ever get that chance because not only time has gone by but they are stuck, unhappy with someone that they settled for because you messed up. You hope they could have the strength to leave their unhappy life and leave someone they know they really don't love, they settled for them because of the heart you brought them. And you pray for answers and hope.

Even though the spelling of some words are different they are the same words. There has not been a change to these words. I have no problem with these words. Genesis 1:1-5 tells us plainly that this was the first day of Creation and there was no "gap" between verses 1 and 2 of billion of years. All 31 verses of Genesis Chapter 1 are connected by "and". "And" is a conjunction use to connect sentences together. Genesis 1:1-31 is plainly telling us about the 6 24-hour days of Creation. I trully love God's Word.
  • Sizwe Sibiya on Genesis 1 - 14 years ago
Genesis 1 really proves to us that the Word of God is more important that the very thing it produces because without the Word nothing could have existed.

Glory be to God in whose word we should have faith before we see the results. Who noticed how God created Light before He gave us the Sun in order for our human minds to understand light? So there was three days in which there was light without a sun to explain it!!!

God is good all the time.

All praises and thanksgiving to the most high Lord. I worship your name from everlasting to everlasting you are my God and my creator. doubt not the ways of God your Lord for he is worthy to be praise. People of the earth here this word,if a man will take any word out of the word of God he will be dead but if you will add to it you will add more years to your life.

IN GEN 1:3 GOD SAID," LET THERE BE LIGHT....
AND IN GEN 1:14 GOD SAID, LET THERE BE LIGHT..."
ISNT THIS REDUNDANCY ? OR LIGHT IN VERSE 3 IS A DIFFERENT LIGHT IN VERSE 14...ARE THEY BOTH THE SAME ALSO IN HEBREW TRANSLATION ? FOR IF HE ALREADY MADE LIGHT IN VERSE 3 WHY DO IT AGAIN IN VERSE 14 ?.
  • Samuel Rosario on Genesis 1:31 - 14 years ago
Gen 1:31...how interesting that God after every day is only interested in the morning and the evening this is indicative of the times of his manifestation he is a God of light "look for God while he can be found, and call him while he is near us" time is running out...
  • Samuel Rosario on Genesis 1:31 - 14 years ago
After the fourth day time started, 24hrs per day until today; So the six day is the culmination of the greatest demonstration of love man kind has ever seen,God is reaching down and shows his desire to have fellowship with his creation in a place he called "very good indeed".
  • Samuel Rosario on Genesis 1:4 - 14 years ago
CLEARLY GEN 1:4 TALKS ABOUT THE ETERNAL KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, "SAW" MEANS HE "KNEW" IN ADVANCE...GOD REVEALS HIMSELF INTO THE EARTHLY ROUND FOR THE FIRST TIME,AND HIS LIGHT BEFORE HIM DIVIDED THE PLANET IN TWO KINGDOMS "GOOD"OR LIGHT FROM "DARKNESS"OR EVIL..

"... and every winged fowl after its kind..."

So, the insoluble question which comes first, the chicken or the egg, follow the lead in the Bible, it's the chicken.

That is also what any engineer will do, first make the chicken with an egg inside, which chicken will lay the egg and hatch it at the same time protecting it while hatching it.

If an engineer contrives the egg first, how is it going to survive without a chicken to protect it?

See, the Lord is pretty smart, he made the chicken first with an egg already inside; what a terrific package, only the Lord could and did do that.

    All praise to the Lord!
