If a person is a true Christian he or she should not be indulging their body in anything that can damage it. 1 Corinthians 3 16 17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy for the temple of God is holy which temple ye are. See Corinthians was written to true believers. Those people that followed Acts 2 38 to sum it up. Paul was teaching them about their bodies and how to maintain it for God s purpose. If you continue to read over in Chapter 6 of this same book you will find that you are not even supposed to become drunkards.

Part 3of 3 Hello John, the scripture says in 1 Corinthians 6 12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any . It is lawful in some states to smoke marijuana but it is not expedient for those who do not need it to do it. No one should be brought up under the power of anything that will cause them to defile the temple of God. Once again for those who need to take it for their health this is different, that it between them, God, and their doctor. I am not telling anyone who needs this for their illnesses to stop taking it.

Part 2 of 3 Some say that Marijuana helps with glaucoma and cancer pain however, clinical evidence have not shown that the therapeutic benefits of this plant outweigh the health risk in taking it. Also the therapeutic benefits in many cases only last for 3 to 4 hours at best. So in order for this plant to work a person would have to smoke this plant at least 6 to 8 times a day therefore leaving their body open for damages elsewhere. I am not saying that those who need this for their illnesses should not take it. I am saying for someone who does not need it and just want to use it for getting HIGH should not do it at all.

I 'd just like to point out that we still have God given rights in this country... God gave us every plant and HERB on the face of the Earth... so my question is... Why is marijuana illegal?

It took God 5 days to create the earth and man who was created in just one day is doing everything possible to destroy God 's creation. Dominion does not mean destroy. It means use, respect, make the earth prosper. Yes, I am an environmentalist, shouldn 't we all be?

Jeff, the meaning of the word blessed as used in Genesis 1 28 is to endow, meaning that, God endowed them with the ability to be fruitful, to multiply and to replenish the earth, not that God knelt before us, rather He God armed us to carry out the assignment He created us for.

Just a thought after God created all the animals He created flesh man, vs.26,27,28 and covered the world with them. Just at that time in verse 26 we stood there after the katabole, meaning cast down and attempted overthrow of Satan.
