Absalom had no children. His tragic and short life is like so many evil children of godly parents; they have no idea, that all their intense selfishness and heathen ways, causes so much unbearable grief to those who love them; and then they are taken away by a catastrophe! No monument that makes for himself, can make his life's character and doings any better in God's view in the day of judgment.
