To Tom Gen. 2 is an account of what God did in Gen. 1. Gen 2:1 says "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them." It goes on to give a detailed account of how things happened. Gen. 1:27 says "So God created man in his own image, ..." but Gen. 2:7 says "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;..."
