Jane, Dewey, regarding why Jonathan and David used three arrows when both were already in close proximity to each other. Consider the servant lad is appointed by the King to protect Jonathan, therefore for Jonathan to inform David, he could not just tell the servant to leave him, that would have raised suspicion. Instead, the arrows were a ruse to dispatch the servant with no questions raised.
