When Jesus stared to speak them in verse 3, telling them, ...There shall not be left here one stone upon another,... they may were scared and alarmed to heard it, and some how they were listening all that things that He spoke (until the verse 51) and understanding as a prophecy for times to come. Also a purpose for all the generations to come even this present generation.
