It is confusing to me that the Lord would use salt in the punishment of disobedience of Lot's wife in Gen. 19:26 since salt in the rest if scripture is a type for seasoning and preservation. Does the scripture use salt for another type that I am missing? Or does this verse demonstrate that salt is also a type for judgement?
