Hi Jonathon. Thanks for raising this issue. I believe it 's of interest to many Christians including myself, some choosing to consider the thought of 'meditating ' to be too mystical and therefore perhaps not good pratice. I 'm not sure about that however as in Psalm 1:1-2 we find that 'Blessed is the man.. ' whose '..delight is in the law of the LORD and in his law doth he meditate day and night. ' However it may be that there is some confusion over the definition of what is meant here by meditation in terms of practice. In Psalm 19:14 it 's clear that meditation is something we do that eminates from our hearts that Our Lord is able to observe, rather than being a purely mind centred and personal activity as in other alternative definitions. Meditating with Our Lord 's prayer in my mind is how I would go about implementing all this. Best regards!
