Verse 10 explains that people will not want to be forewarned of the coming world war. They would rather hear pleasant lies that all is well. They do not want things explained to them in advance. This chapter is about world war 3 as shown in verse 25, the day of great slaughter. Verse 18 means that even though Israel gets into war that the Lord will prompt men to stop the war and negotiate peace terms. Blessed are all that want this peaceful time. It is called a wait because the Lord knows in advance that the peace terms will not hold. Men are forewarned that killing and WW3 will lead to the result that will be the end of days.
