This particular verse is christ saying that he is come to bring a sword. Finally we are now able to defend our selves spiritually intellectually and christ is able to keep us safe. He will divide people because there are people that disagree with the fact that jesus is god. So finally we are protected and we are now aware of the people we need to save and the people that are after us. I thought hard and long about this verse until finally I realized this. I hope you all can agree with me.
