    Num.14.34 "Breach of promise" (4 of 4)

"After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise."

God's promises are yea and Amen in his Son. By rejecting him what the Israelites brought upon themselves is a curse, and her God says it was my breach of promise. 'And ye shall know it' In Psalm we know what He with the merciful. "With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. (Ps.18.25) For the reprobate nationthe breach of promise hinged on this day as in this verse:"I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it."(Deut.30.18). The day decreed for the Son judged the nation since Jesus Christ is anointed as the Word of God. The key verse sets the entire nation in terms of years and days. Each day for a year. The nation of Elam shall no longer be a nation. (Ezra.10.2) Jeremiah predicts,"And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come." (Jer.49.36)

In holy city we find the significance of the breastplate of Aaron. "And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel." The names of the names are borne as Aaron was required to bear "And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually."(Exod.28.29) We have thus judgment in terms of a breastplate and the tabernacle of God among men as bookends. "By Jesus Christ all things consist. In him it is fulfilled.
