When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; ( Deut. 4:30).
The preceding versions discuss the diaspora among all nations; and this verse is followed with verse 31
31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
At the end of the Tribulation we read this in Ezekiel 20:37-38
37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:
38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
Thus we see the final fulfillment of this in Zechariah 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. The time of "Jacob's trouble" will accomplish this
as Jeremiah 30:7 states
"Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it."
There are going to be some physical survivors of that time as illustrated in other scriptures. Mark 13:14 "When you see 'the abomination that causes desolation'[a] standing where it[b] does not belong-let the reader understand-then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
We need to familiarize ourselves with the Word as there are hundreds of relevant scriptures whose ultimate fulfillment is nigh.
God will fulfill His ultimate plans; but it is hard to say what twists and turns will occur; and what the state of our nation will be once the Tribulation begins. I would argue a lot depends on whether we are Babylon the Great.
There is always a remnant saved; we see this here; in Exodus and Revelation 2 and 3.
