God created everything good. He knows everything. If evil did not exist then how was satan able to have evil in him. GOD knew that satan would turn against him and threw the people and world into sin. If GOD wanted only good then why allow sin to corrupt the good he only wanted. It's like we were set up to fail from the beginning. GOD knew what satan was going to do and allowed it. Why didnt he stop evil before it began. He could have. I believe in GOD but something's make no sense. Incest is a sin. Adultery is a sin. Murder is a sin. The old testament that's all it was. It confuses me. Why couldnt GOD prevent the evil before it began and we all could be filled with love and joy and be with GOD in his presence. I dont fit in this crazy evil world. I'm a misfit. I want to be with jesus.
God gave those beings a choice ,to obey and serve or not they chose not, their choice was to follow one who saw himself equal to God. So like a parent you have a few children each is different, would you want your children to love you because you told them to.No you would want them to love you because they chose to love you not because you made them, that kind of love is real love, that is the love God wants from us.
Karen Gbu but b/f this world was there was a problem with satan and his angels but God had a plan in mind long b/f satan...God so loved humanity that he wanted to correct humanity by the Blood of his dear son Jesus...There was none righteous no not one....A price had to be paid for mankinds disobedience....By the disobedience of 1 man sin entered this world....And God knew he wd need a lamb without spot to offer up for the sins of the world...God already had a plan to multiply Jesus's seed as the stars of heaven....Thus every man that had a fallen nature wd be granted to be bornagain of the seed of Jesus...A body has thou prepared me...This horrrible situation with humanity cd only be corrected by a Body of Christ Jesus ...the lamb of God which was the New Covenant in his Blood..
.....But there was something very special in the Cross...The Blood was a wonderful New Covenant....But there was something else coming....Thats y the woman is giving birth there is a BABY Christ on the Horizon.. which is the H.G. The Child of Promise
Even in the O.T. when Abraham offered up Issac thats when that special Promise was made that Abraham seed wd be multiplied as the sands of the seas...Thus the nation of ISRAEL....But now there is an Israel of God on the horizon which is the multiplication of very God in humanity via the seed of the sower that New Covenant in his Blood the H.G....When I see the Blood i will pass over you....He took of the twain Jew and Gentile and made 1 new man which is the H.G. an Israel of God...Abide in me and i in you....our new innerman...The very Kingdom of God is gonna be with in us via the seed of the sower...The words of God.,,,It will not be long you are gonna see bumper stickers saying I am with Child of the H.G....The Israel of God..ok lemme go
You have legitimate questions. According to the Bible, apparently God was the Source of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Genesis 2:9, giving one the impression evil existed at, or before the creation of man. So, who is the author of evil/darkness growing from the same tree which produces the knowledge of good, Whom we know God is the Author?
I find it interesting all the plants and animals God created according to Genesis reproduced their own kind, yet the tree in question produces TWO completely opposing foods/forces, which in reality cannot coexist. Just as in darkness and light, evil and good cannot coexist in the same mind as truth, without that mind being confused, i.e. literal insanity. Can God be the author of evil as well as good? If so, what then, can we credit Satan being the author of? Is the tree of knowledge of good and evil the first introduction to mankind the concept of dualism?
Love/Creation created you with the free will to choose what to have faith in; good or evil, light or darkness, holiness or sin, etc. Because of that, we can freely choose to believe in both or choose one or the other. Yet what we choose has no effect on truth; what exists, Who God is. Personally, I believe God is not the author of evil/fear. I am. I have chosen to think unlike Him and therefore made up all fear for myself.
Something else to consider: If you could create a mind with a free will, would you defeat your purpose by placing commands, demands, threats of doom and make bargains with it?
Although I do not agree that the tree of knowledge was an introduction of dualism, in the classical sense of there being two equal eternal powers: good and evil, good being all that is spiritual, and evil being all that is physical, I do think your analysis of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is interesting. Its fruit was knowledge, not necessarily good and evil. I am not saying that knowledge is problematic in itself, but that this scenario with the commandment against taking in the fruit of this knowledge from God, the incoming into Adam and Eve that they could have such knowledge by eating the fruit of this tree, and the temptation and deception of the devil that took advantage of the enticement within Adam and Eve that the commandment and presence of this tree manifested in them.
I don't know where it says in Scripture but I recall where it says that man is capable of creating all kinds of evil (and new kinds as well). So, just as Satan was able to create evil within himself as well as his fallen angels, mankind was able to do so also. Both were created "able to sin". God, who is uncreated, is absolutely holy and pure and cannot create evil. But creating creatures with a mind that can have one's own thoughts apart from God and a will that can choose to disobey Him and turn from Him is not creating evil on God's part. It is creating a form of freedom and autonomy within these creatures. The holy angels in heaven have always used this freedom and autonomy to be in God's will and obey Him. They are able to sin, but choose not to. Mankind, on the other hand, after the fall of Adam and Eve, cannot not sin. It only takes one sin to fall. Every human person does this one sin whereby they are fallen and in need of redemption. God has always wanted to have a beings He has redeemed to spend eternity with Him. Humans are these beings. Fallen angels cannot be redeemed-they are the objects of God's wrath. Nice to hear from you again.
So, how is it certain whether you agree with me in regards to the "tree," dualism subject, as what I said was in interrogative form. It is possible I'm not totally convinced either way. Either way I value your opinion, as it could confirm in a way i believe, which is helpful. It could also strengthen my thought system in the way it was leaning via what I may not agree with, i.e. was not convincing, which is ok.
This brings to mind another comment and question: At this time, I can conclude Adam and Eve were created/made without any knowledge of good as well as evil. Yet how could they even make a decision, let alone make an evaluation without some degree of knowledge of right and wrong?
To continue, it appears the effect of eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil favored gaining a ton of evil knowledge in contrast to good, made evident throughout the Bible's historical recordings of man. I cant help wondering, if God didn't create evil, why is He introducing something not His reality/truth to His perfect creation? If God doesn't create evil, then the only logical option left is He creates only the good, holy, unchanging, eternal, perfect, light, spirit, lovable, loving, and so on.
I'm in complete agreement that creating a being with a free will able to think apart from God does not make God evil. Actually, the Source is Love. We have the free will to choose to believe God is everything mentioned in the above paragraph, or just the opposite of all the above, or both. The first choice leads to a purely non dualistic thinking Mind; the second is impossible because however much we try, we don't have the power to make our Father fatherless. Every being born, save Jesus, has chosen the third option. What God did not create and what He isn't can only be in my own mind apart from His.
Hiya Karen Gbu...let me try to explain this great mystery that was in the mind of God....Jesus said outta of the hearts of men proceeds all manner of evil...But God wanted a perfect ppl an Israel of God that cd not sin....Thus God needed a Son that cd sow a heavenly seed in humanity...making man kind into Gods via the seed of Jesus...To whom the word came ( his seed ) it made them Gods and the scripture cannot be broken...That 1 st Adam was of the earth earthy sinful with a a horrible propensity to sin...But the 2 nd man is the lord from heaven that cannot sin ...Thus the book in the right hand of God that is sealed contains the living Words of God..And contains the very seeds of God...And its these seeds that are gonna initiate a birth of Christ in everyman Thats y he has to know us...Thats y he always refered to himself as the SON OF MAN....Thats y Jeremiah saw all men in travail and birth pains...which is an Israel of God...Jacobs troubles a heavenly Jacob which is that 3 rd PERSON the H.G. The Israel of God..That is gonna be born in the hearts of everyman...If i be lifted up i will draw ALL men unto me...Giving everyman a new heart and a new spirit...Thats the New Covenant..I will know them ALL from the least to the greatest..Thats everybody...But this Book in the fathers right hand is sealed till the last days..We are in that last day now.
Karen in order to plz God..We have to birth a Baby Christ...Thats y he always refered to himself as the SON OF MAN...Mankind needs a New HEART and a new spirit in order to plz God via hearing Jesus words/ seeds ...Thus the contents of the Book...Thats y The Woman is giving birth, She has heard his voice the words of God...The seeds of the bridegroom..Thus the manchild, a baby Christ...That Child of Promise...As Jesus said the Good seed are the Children of the Kingdom..which are The babes and sucklings an Israel of God...That is gonna be born in us sinners..Whosoever receiveth one such Child in my name receives ME. GBK
Hi Karen. Yes, God could have stopped sin right from the beginning, when Adam & Eve were tempted to commit sin, God could have stepped right in & prevented that happening - indeed, God could have also destroyed Satan & saved all of us so much grief, bound for eternal agony. But you know what, if God did that then He wouldn't have allowed us to express the mental & spiritual resources He has given us. All His creation, including mankind, the angels & other beings in Heaven, would either be fully programed to not respond to evil or maybe unable to have the power of choice & the exercise of emotions of love, faith, etc. Yet, we are made in His Image - so our existence in the flesh must exude those qualities of God that He has placed in us. Sadly, sin has severely marred what God has put in us & so man in his sinful unregenerate state shows anything but godliness, serving his own lusts, lifting himself to a god-like status over others.
In Heaven, Lucifer, the covering cherub, was created holy, serving God. Then one day, "iniquity was found" in him ( Ezekiel 28:15). We're not told how one so holy managed to sin, but having the power to choose, as we also have, Satan's heart lifted with pride, he sinned, & he led Adam & Eve into the same trap ( Genesis 3:4,5: to believe they too can elevate their hearts & minds to the level of God). If God withheld from us the ability to choose, to use our minds to consider His Words, whether to remain true to Him or to pursue our own ways, then we would not have fulfilled His design & we would not have had the ability to demonstrate true affection from our wills. It would have just been a love coded into our design & a sinlessness not based on our desire to please our Creator. To be a human as God intended meant that Adam & Eve had to reject Satan's thrusts at every point in their lives - but would we afterwards have remained pure?
And so Jesus was sent to us - the great Plan for our spiritual restoration - from self, to God alone.
Messengers and man were built with freedom of will because God wants
To be loved honestly not by control. So in the beginning by pride Lucifers
Sin was rebellion based on pride against the creator God. That,'s when he
Became Satan or the devil and was cast down from heaven to earth. He
Is the one that as Jesus Christ said in John 10:9 The thief cometh not but
To steal kill and destroy that's the adversaries mode of operation. He is
God of this world 2 Corinthians 4:4, now in contrast to that when we got
Born again the enemy no longer has any authority over a standing believer
Claiming and walking as a Son of the most High God. So when you think
On those things he's nothing as we walk via the spirit untouchable!
.....But there was something very special in the Cross...The Blood was a wonderful New Covenant....But there was something else coming....Thats y the woman is giving birth there is a BABY Christ on the Horizon.. which is the H.G. The Child of Promise
