    Discernment part 2

False spirits will appeal to the lesser passions; or try to give some panacea; quick fix or other remedy that with any wisdom is "too good to be true". God will do things in His timing; and can be trusted to guide our paths as we follow Him (see Psalm 119). Wisdom is part and parcel with all spiritual things. One can procrastinate when God has made it clear that we are to move forward; but let us allow God to tell us when to move or wait. This is what can complicate even a true plan of God in our lives; such as when Sarah decided to give God a "jump start" with her handmaiden for Abraham's offspring. If we substitute our own selfish reasoning we often can cause issues that muddle things for quite a while. God is longsuffering and will work all things for the good; but still we can have unnecessary lasting scars because we take on ourselves what He is telling us to wait on.

This ties in with God giving us the "desires of our heart". ( Psalm 37:3-4). Learning to parse out His will and desire from our will takes careful analysis; and should always involve wise counsel of other believers either indicating doors are open or closed. The enemy will use any method to try to render us ineffective; if we are His sheep. If we are not truly saved; he doesn't have to do that much but of course will blind men to those witnessing the truth. (see 2 Peter 3:18 and other on KNOWING the will of God). We should be wise to the tactics of our enemy; always prepared as Ephesians 6 states. We cannot outsmart him and never should attempt to go after his hierarchy or authority structure directly.
