shame of thy nakedness is a sexual violation. what they have done was neither cold nor hot. they were lukewarm. lukewarm, cold and hot are not of the same meaning. lukewarm is not of the two standards which are cold and hot. the sexual violation then was neither of the two basis. in the sexual activities of the opposite sex, only marital sexual intercourse in strictly monogamous marriage is moral and that is cold. the other sexual activity is of the same sex. since married are forbidden to do same sex acts, hot is pure willing unmarried in same sex acts. with the meaning of cold and hot, lukewarm which is neither cold nor hot, neither of the two standards is married in same sex acts, neither in marital sexual intercourse in strictly monogamous marriage nor in pure willing unmarried in same sex acts. in verse 15 is 'i would thou wert cold or hot' means either in marital sexual intercourse in strictly monogamous marriage or in pure willing unmarried in same sex acts. with those meaning of lukewarm, cold and hot, there is no inconsistency or irregularity. there is either marital sexual intercourse in strictly monogamous marriage or in pure willing unmarried in same sex acts because there is neither in marital sexual intercourse in strictly monogamous marriage nor in pure willing unmarried in same sex acts.
