Here in Revelation 10 the hour deliverance of Daniels people, Israel, is at hand ( Daniel 12:1; Romans 11:26), Israel is to be grafted in their own olive. This is the season when he finishes with the Gentiles, for it is the hour they are cut off from the olive tree because because of unbelief. In Revelation 10 the pillar of fire, the angel of the covenant visits his Gentile church, the tender mercy of of God: whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us. It is the season of manifestation of sons, its the hour of deliverance from bondage to corruption ( Romans 8:18-23). It is the dispensation of the fulness of time ( Ephesians 1:10). It is a prophetic age ( Malachi 4:5-6; Revelation 10:7, 11). Paul in speaking to his people the Jews warned them: Beware therefore, least that come upon you, which is spoken of the prophets: Behold ye despisers and wonder and perish: for I do a work in your days, a work which you shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you ( Acts 13:40-41). In Revelation 10:4 we read: seal those things the seven thunders uttered and write them not. The same voice said in ICorinthians 2:10 but hath revealed them by the spirit: for the spirit searcheth all things, the deep things of God. In Amos 3:7 we read we read the Lord will do nothing but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. It is the age of the restoration of the word and the power. In verse 3, the angel or messenger of the covenant had a little book open: the making known of the words of the covenant, the restoration of all things; Malachi 4:5-6 season, Elias surely come and and restore all things (Mathew 17:11-12- note here the present and future application of these verses, for scripture has compound revelation). When God visited Israel to fulfill Genesis 49:24; 15:13-16 he descended in a flame of fire and sent Moses ( Exodus 3:1-9). This chapter is connected to Daniel 12, I Corinthians 14:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and many other scriptures surrounding the second coming, both in old and new testament. A brief commentry has just been touched on this chapter.

i dont understand vs 1, does it mean that there is no condemnation to a christian or does it mean there is no condemnation only if we continue to walk in the spirit. i guess im asking, can you loose your salvation if you fail to follow the lord.

From that scriptures it means that there are two class of christians in the Body of Christ. Those that walk after the flesh and those that walk after the dictates of the flesh. No condemnation to those not walking after the flesh, but after the leadership of the spirit. The law of sin and death is not against them, becuase they are free indeed by the power of God, through the outworking of the spirit in them.

The book of romans is a powerful book to and my family because it has build us and also prepare us for the next future.

I believe a literal translation of this book is perfectly fine. Husbands are instructed to love their wife's like Christ loves us so the parallels between the beloved and the Church are easy to make. Romantic intimacy could be how Christ views the Church but I think he would use different imagery to describe it.

What does chapter 2 verse 6 say to you?
"His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me".

And chapter 1 verse 4?
"Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers"

And to the comment below, I do not believe we have to ask God for mercy in order to understand the bible. In Romans Paul explains how the Holy Ghost as well as Jesus Christ intercedes for us.

"And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God." Romans 8:23

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." Romans 8:26

"It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." Romans 8:34

Life is not about how holy we are or who understands the bible the most. We were made to be loved by God and love Him back.

Romans Chapter8 the entire chapter informs me that Im called chosen justified& glorified! That flesh has to die totally completely so that Spirit will connect the Spirit of Christ Jesus which lives in I will not sperated by anyone or thing I love God & Im thoroughly convinced that His love is sufficient. God lives & loves me as well as all BELIEVERS!!

Romans chapter 8 clearly instructs us on the steps we should follow to receive the Glory of God.To receive Salvation.

1. In order to free ourselves from the bondage of the law of sin, that is the law of the flesh,
our bodies should die in the law of sin.This is done by freeing our bodies from all worldly and fleshly desires.This the purpose of Jesus Christ, the Messiah's crucifixion on the cross.Once you are dead in flesh sin can no longer have control over you.So by dying in flesh on the cross Jesus Christ, the Messiah conquered sin.

2.Once you have conquered sin, God then resurrects you from the death of the flesh and you begin to walk in the Spirit of God, through the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
This is symbolisd by the ressurrection of Jesus Christ from death.
God resurrects you from death of your body (total rejection of being a servant to worldly persuits and desires which cause us to sin) to walk in the Spirit of God and to receive eternal life through the Grace of God.
The resurrection is testimony of God's power over death.
God conquered death and resurrected Jesus Christ,
so that whoever shall follow Jesus Christ will be saved.

the whole bible is very important to me... i love Romans because this is when apostle paul was tellin us how we shold live now that we have the holiness. Especially Romans8:1 there is no condemation... that is very important..... The church sometime was a bad habit of comdemning ppl. that isnt our job... that is gos's job to job, and correct... romans ch 8:15 brings joy to my soul. its like when we was sinner we was like a child that been abuse by sin, but God adopted us to a happy home. and said fear not the abuse is over...call me father.

We must remember that God said two nations were in the womb of Rebekah, and that the elder would serve the younger. It was the will of God for Jacob to receive the blessing. Adam's disobedience is what caused sin and death to be passed down to the human race. Thank God it was the obedience of the second Adam the Lord Jesus Christ that has redeemed us from the curse of sin and death. That is why Romans 8:28 tells us all things work together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.

"In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death." Proverbs 12:28

Jesus is life. Abide in Him and there is no death. His ways are life. Abide in His ways, and abide in life, wherein there is no death.

In reading the news, one can see many whose way ended in death. Proverbs 11:19 says, "As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death."

The word evil can mean bad or wrong. The person who follows that which is "bad" pursues it to his own death; likewise, the person who follows that which is "wrong" follows it to his own death.

There is a "right" way, and there is a "wrong" way. There is a way that is life, and there is a way that is death.

"...in the pathway thereof there is no death." In the pathway of righteousness is no death; but, some might say the righteous is slain by death even when he stays in the path of righteousness: but, not so.

We are more than conquerors. Romans 8:36-39 The word "conquerors" means "to vanquish beyond." We who abide in the way of righteousness, when death presents himself as our enemy, overcome him and stand beyond him in life. We conquer beyond; we conquer whatever it is that presents itself in the path of righteousness - we conquer and go beyond it.

We are more than conquerors through Jesus. We conquer death through the life of Jesus Christ.

verses 26 and 27--so very important to pray in the Father's will. Sometimes we think we know how things should come out; always the LORD has the best plan. When I have a situation I am praying about, and it is so complicated I don't know how to pray, I pray, Father, Your Will be done.

I believe in Romans, Chapter 1:25; the "creature" is of course, Satan. In reality, Romans 8:20-21; the "creature" ...not willingly, but by reason of him (God, through Christ Jesus) who hath subjected the same in hope: -- 21; Because the creature itself ALSO SHALL BE DELIVERED from the bondage of corruption, into the glorious liberty of the children of God. --
Christ Jesus shed his blood and took our infirmities, and died going into the depth of hell, fought the demon; conquered: and took our adoption decrees away from the demon. Christ Jesus became the RESURRECTION by showing himself IN THE FLESH (2nd COMING). We now know him, as Christ Jesus is NOW from the time of his RESURRECTION is in us. We are the body of Christ Jesus as the SPIRIT is in us NOW. Walk and do miracles as he COMMANDS us to walk as he did; preaching the WORD OF TRUTH (Holy Bible), ..."thy word is Truth.", also doing Miracles, Wonders, Healing, speaking in tongues, prophesy, discerning of spirits,..." and CHARITY above and beyond all we can comprehend... "Study to show thyself approved..." and follow the resurrected Christ Jesus because he is alive and walking on this EARTH through us daily as we ESTABLISH CHRIST ALIVE NOW on earth. Christ Jesus conquered DEATH (the demon), he won us and God now adopted us as his heirs for the working of the Holy Spirit to do his good will for ALL the world; Romans 8; 15 "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear: but ye have received the spirt of ADOPTION, whereby we cry, ABBA, FATHER. #16 The SPIRIT ITSELF beareth witness WITH our spirt, that WE ARE the Children of GOD." Romans 8; 1 "There is therefore NOW no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. #2 For the law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE, in Christ Jesus, hath made me FREE from the law of sin and death." Romans 8; 11 "But if the Spirit of him (God) that raised up Jesus from the dead, DWELL IN YOU: He (God) that RAISED UP Christ from the dead, shall also QUICKEN you mortal bodies, by HIS SPIRIT that dwelleth IN YOU."
God works MIRACLES every second of every hour, only because he is ALIVE now, the 2nd Coming was established when Christ shed his blood, died, conquered over death (the creature), and was resurrected to show us he walked on this earth for the 2nd time, showing himself again in the flesh to all who have CHRIST in us, through the adoption of him who works all and gives all, life and wellness, righteousness, without doubting; we have been saved. When a person who has faith in God's word and trully understand the meaning of Baptism thru obedience to his word, and accept the process of salvation in his life, says in v-21 (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) God is happy to see the heart of man/woman with a good conscience toward God. Baptism in Jesus name( Acts 2:38)is our submission to the will of God,Holy Spirit baptism( Acts 2:1-4)is the confirmation that God accepted our submission & as children of God, heirs to his kingdom. See Romans 8:9,14-17, Ephesians 1:13 ( 1 Pet 3:21).

Did you know that: Born again( John 3:1-7)is the only way to enter into the Kingdom of God,Jesus requires born in water and born in spirit( John 3:5)born in water means baptism,baptism in Jesus name,born in spirit means Holy Spirit baptism.two baptism needed in order to enter into the Kingdom of God.

It is a wake up call to those who want to make it to Heaven. You must finish your work and your not done until you hear God say well done my good and faithful servant. Read Romans 8:9

"Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God." ( John 5:18) God is one, but some refused to receive Jesus as God, holding only to God the Father. No one can have the Father without the Son, and any one without the Spirit has not the Son. ( Romans 8:9)

Hi Michelle,

This verse means alot to me because I believe this is the verse God used to save me on April 23rd (The day before Easter) 2011.

The first part of the verse "For whom he did predestinate" means those people that God to save before the foundation of the world.

The second part of the verse "them he also called" that means when God has chosen you for salvation before the fondation of the world, at some point in your life, God has to start the process of drawing you to him.

The next part of the verse says "And whom he called, them he also justified" when God is finished drawing you to him, you are saved and a child of God. You then spend the rest of your life with an earnest, ongoing desire to do the will of God in your life.

The last part of the verse says "And whom he justified, them he also glorified" after God has saved you, when you die or when Christ returns, you will be changed into your new glorified body. You will be free from temptation to sin, you will be able to see God as he is and spend all eternity in eternal bliss as one of God's children and a co-heir with Christ forevermore!!!

There are two ways to live according to Paul. You can live after the flesh, which is of the world and all its machinations. The lust of the eyes, the greed of the acquisitive, the cruelty of the druglords, the hopeless addicted, the sexually driven, ect. But these grasp for reward and are left bewildered, empty and longing for whatever they are used to longing for for relief, a small taste of glory. To those who live after the spirit, God gives his Spirit without measure. Patient well doing, desiring to do the will of God, Suffering with the Crucified Lord for the hope of the Resurrection, the true reward which is Peace, freedom, glory, unreasonable joy, wisdom, understanding, mercy, compassion. This is what Romans 8 is about. Not church politics or sexual roles but devoting this life to understanding what God is telling us from the smoking furnace on the mount, thru his prophets, his martyrs, and his messiah, Jesus of Nazareth.

"Nor things to come", doesn't seem to weigh as heavy on my heart. That is future stuff. And to me it is easier to relax, knowing God will take care of all the "things to come stuff". But we are living in the "things present" and thats where i see a lot of challenging issues. Even death and life, angels, principalities,& powers are above my pay-grade. But again its the "things present"that really hurts.
Present tense enigmas, as DIVISION, in the church (clergy/laity) separation, which was never endorsed by the Lord Jesus. He even said twice, in Rev.2;6 & 2;15 that he hated the (nico/laitian) doctrine & deeds! But in "things present", this breach runs unabated and not challenged presently by any "so-called" leaders, in the church. And one is left to deal with this painful heart ache (division causing doctrine), in the present, alone. The culture of clergy, grows ever stonger, everywhere, and it is akin to the (POLITICAL CONGRESS-LOBBYIST CULTURE); both producing men in shinny suits and ties, with "milk toast hands", living a life of ease relative , to the divided out ones (LAITY), the pick-up truck grunts.
Also division in marriage, "a things present" issue, being also a heart-ache. 33 years ago the preacher pronounced us one and we have been fighting ever since to see "which won". I am a faithful husband, but division makes one lonely! How i have desired to have my lady, on my side pulling with me, but i see now thats not the plan. Division is rampant, in church, in government, and in personal relationships, and its all in the "NOR THINGS PRESENT"!
So what now? Vs. 39 " none of this will be able to separate us from the love of God!" Because we see in vs.28 - God will use all this for good, to those who love God. And the comfort we now have is that God will "UNITE" our hearts ps 86;11, so we can walk in the truth and fear His name; "THIS UNITY" is only what can grant rest from the enigmas of "DIVISION", in the "NOR THINGS PRESENT". agape----- reggie --

I would like to answer the question: The Bible says in Romans 8:9 that if we have not the spirit of Christ he is none of his, That's why we must be born again in John 3:3-7 of the water and the spirit. Jesus told peter that, in Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. The Bible is true and very well spoken and we must obey. On the day of pentecost peter used that key and he told the people how to be saved in Acts 2:38-47 and the Lord added to the CHURCH daily such as should be saved, the word CHURCH stand out because it was the key to salvation from the plan Jesus spoke to peter about. Dear Gary; Previous responses have explained John 21 so well. I also am praying for more of our Lord's light in your experience. I am convinced that an active believing, receiving, and applying of God's grace is sometimes the key to more fully experience His goodness. When one finds a Bible promise or statement intended for believers in Jesus, lets place ourselves into it, saying "I receive that for mine", reread it, placing ourself into it, thank the Master for fulfilling his promise in us personally. As for blaming ourselves; lets also receive his cleansing that has already been paid for and is available now. 1 John 1:9, Romans 8:1-2, Ephesians 6:10-18, and many more. Jesus is the light of the world and abundance of life is available in Him for receiving and applying. May our Lord's grace and peace be unto you.

it really thrills me when the Bible says "who shall separate us frm the Love of Christ? I just returned from church today after hearing a local preacher's take on Romans 8:36 and surrounding verses. First, he taught that the one exception to nothing separating us from the love of Christ is ourselves. I disagreed with that, or I should say it is frightening, because I am who I fear the most in the matters of faith. But to the specific verse mentioned, I feel the sentence of death every day. Again, struggles with myself, the flesh, are a determined foe, everyday. It is like a death sentence. Thank the Lord that we have life in the spirit if we choose to walk, think and live in it.
