    Convoluted thinking! Not biblical whatsoever.

"And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel."

    Revelation 7:4

The 144,000 are Gods elect. they stood by God during the katabol when Satan to0ok 1/3 of Gods children with him when he couldn't over turn the Mercy Seat. The first earth age. The 144,000 will also stand with God again when Satan as the anti-Christ tries again to win over all Gods children. Plenty will resist Satan but the 144,000 are Gods chosen few & they will stand with Him again. He wants all His children to choose Him but many will choose the anti-Christ thinking Satan is the real Messiah. This is where the Mark of the Beast comes in-to know Satan comes first, then Christ comes at the 7th Trump.

It seems some of you are getting church age saints mixed up with the Jews during the future great tribulation period. The church has been raptured at this time and God is dealing with Israel and the unbelieving world. The 144,000 from the tribes of Israel are NOT all that will ever be saved. Many will be saved during the tribulation period. Confusion reigns when people get this mixed up. Read all of chapter 7. Multitudes from every tribe, nation, tongue, etc. that CANNOT BE NUMBERED stand before the throne robed in white and are those who came out of the great tribulation. How anyone can read the Bible and come away thinking only 144,000 people will ever be saved is puzzling.

9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands

How blessed is the Jew that lives by the law and has accepted Jesus as the Son of God. I pray that for Jews.If there were an exact number after the holocaust heaven would be full. God's promise to salvation is not limited. Too bad this discussion page went astray with who will go to heaven when it is clear it will be those washed with the blood of the lamb-Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord for this.

What about Cornelius the centurion? Why was Paul sent to the gentiles if only Jews were to be saved? Your statement contradicts so much scripture.
  • Ed - In Reply on Revelation 7 - 6 years ago
The total number in Revelation 7:4 is 144,000. It is 12,000 Jewish men from each of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel Jacob .

Son of the Most High God, that is falsehood. Romans 1:16 "For it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first and the Greek." Acts 18:6, "I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the gentiles." Race and bloodline does not matter to Christ for a person being saved after his sacrifice and never will.

Yahweh's? Salvation is for: All that are Called( John 6:44) Called Not Only Jews But Gentiles Also---I Will Call Them My People( Romans 9:24-33, 10: 1-21) Being of The Blood line Does not Guarantee Salvation( Romans 2:28-29) Through their Fall Salvation is Come Unto The Gentiles to Provoke Them to Jealousy( Romans 11:11) All Nations, Kindreds, People and Tongues, Stood Before The Throne( Revelation 7:9

I always heard there was only 144,000 people going to Heaven. However, it brings me joy to know that Rev 7:9 says,
    Lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

I love reading God's Word. Thank you for this Platform and beautiful Bible.

Hello disciple, that's a logical perspective. However, we know God is in control of all things and that He does everything for a perfect reason His pleasure. Glory be to God in the highest amen!

Hi Dewey; I don't know why Dan is not mentioned in Revelation 7; nor why Simeon is not named in Deuteronomy 33. I have thought about that a lot, and prayed, and prayed and thought; but haven't found a satisfactory answer yet. Perhaps it is to signify that not everyone who was once named among the brothers, and for a certain started, will make it to the finish? Maybe there's a meaning in the names?

Is it just me or are there only ten tribes of Israel mentioned here an equal number of 12000 people redeemed from each of the 10 tribes mentioned. The tribe of Dan and tribe of Ephraim are not mentioned here in Rev. 7. However, we know that 12 times 12 = 144 therefore the tribes of Dan and Ephraim must be included in the total number of 144.000 of the tribes of Israel. Glory be to God!

April 10, 2018. Rose Munro, I thank you for the truth. The evil one will come at the 6th trumpet. He will receive many with his deception. To protect the Elect, Christ Jesus has shortened the 7 years to five and a half months. Otherwise, even the Elect would be fooled. It is very wrong. So many families will be brought up by their own family members to the evil one

Verse 10~We owe salvation to Jehovah God for providing the ransom and to Jesus Christ for willingly offering himself as the ransom.

servant; If you are not yet saved HERE, how do you expect to be any other when your spirit leaves this world to go into eternity? Jesus said, "He that believes (present tense) on me HATH ETERNAL LIFE.." "He that believes on me is not condemned..." If your name is not written in the Lamb's Book of Life NOW, IN THIS TIME; how are you ever going to get it written when its too late?

Washed in the blood, sealed in their forehead; The tribes of Israel are all Gods children, as they migrated to the further reaches of the earth. All those in heaven before the throne of God are the Saved, the Wheat already sifted from the chaff. None on earth are saved, for it is not pre-determined or self-determined. All must go as God has determined. On earth in the winnowing fans of life
  • Vicki on Revelation 7 - 8 years ago
Ren, you may be confusing the church age saints with the tribulation saints. The judgment for church age believers is to test our works to determine rewards or lack thereof. Our salvation is already secure.

  • Ren on Revelation 7 - 8 years ago
You read where they slept after they died I believe our souls go up to a holding area till Jesus returns at the end.Bible says we r all judged so I can't see anyone going to heaven till Judgement day.It says the sheep will be separated from the goats at Judgement.Just doesn't make any sense to go to heaven then be pulled back out to be judged.I do agree only our bodies r in the grave not our souls

Cheryl; the 144,000 are only from the tribes of the children of Israel; and I think that they are just the ones from the time of "Jacob's Trouble" which would then be in addition to the multitudes of the Saints from every generation and century from the beginning. The saved from out of all Nations and Tribes and Families and Tongues are a multitude that no man can number. Very good question!
  • Cheryl on Revelation 7 - 8 years ago
So, if only the 144,00 are sealed with Jesus when do the rest that believe in Jesus go tho heaven

1 Chronicles 16:8 Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Psalms 26:7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. Revelation 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
