Verse 12 shows how angry Satan is that he has been thrown out of heaven. He has not given up in his fight to turn as many away as possible.

In verse 7 we can see that Satan and his demons did not willingly leave heaven. There was a war that had to be fought and Jesus hurled Satan and the demons out of heaven.

Revelation 12 covers history for thousands of years, even from the ancient beginnings in heaven. Revelation 12 tells about God's purpose: God's reason for creating man, the calling of Abraham onto Jacob that is to be Israel, and ultimately to the King of Kings, the Lord, and to the remnant of Israel, which triumph over the Devil/dragon/Satan, by the love of Christ, the Lamb of God himself. Amen.

Verse 17, Jesus indicates a remnant (remainder) woman (church) that is under attack by the dragon (satan) because the church remains faithful in keeping the ten commandments, including Sabbath commandment. And the church is concerned with prophecy (testimony of Jesus as told in Rev 19:10).

Things in the spiritual realm we have only a small glimpse into, but the images and teaching in this Prophecy give us much important knowledge. How Satan fell from heaven like lightning, and how he is still permitted to go about and deceive the Nations to bring all things to completion; we must leave in God's care. The Lord Jesus has given us authority in His Name over ALL the power of the enemy!

to Diriba, you're not alone in trying to understand Revelation, When JESUS spoke to his disciples, it was in parables. The imagery of these passages are, I believe, such a parable. The dragon, satan and his forces, manifested and opposing the LORD and his. The war in heaven mirrored on earth, the same war on earth an echo of that heavenly battle. Verse 12 shows that the earth is experiencing great woe because Satan the Devil has been hurled down here and he knows that his time is short.

Finally! Someone gets it. Onsase is spot on. The seal of God is like any other seal. It has the name:God,title: creator , dominion: heaven and earth- all described in the 4th commandment. Only way NOT to get the MARK is by being sealed in the forehead (your mind) being grounded in truth. Read Rev 14:12 , then 19:10 and you'll see what the 3angels messages show you must understand. The woman dressed with sun and moon under feet is the church of God,the remnant church of God which does Gods will,
Gods will is doing doing as per Gods commandments.
There are ten commandments given by God summarized by Jesus Christmas
1.love your neighbor. As you love yourself
2.love your God with your all.
The mark and identifier of Gods people is the sabbath day as given as the fourth command

Jesus says pray and do not faint.

v 17- And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

WOW! 2016 / this war has sweep the earth. I see and hear of casualties (those wounded and killed) everyday. This war can be over whamming... But thank God for His peace through Jesus Christ, thereby we endure and not faint.

It's spiritual Isreal. There's no more "group salvation" . I love that massage wrote in revelation 12:1 but in fact I don't quite understand the meaning of the figures mentioned in it.

The woman is the remnant. God's true followers. Those that follow the Lamb wherever He goes. The opposite is the harlott which rides on the beast which is a Christian Church who is also the little horn in Daniel who keeps not the commandments of God and is full of blasphemy. In Bible, calling yourself God n forgiving sins in His place are those spoken of. Rome and her daughter's (plural)

with the moon under her feet.
