Discuss Proverbs 16 Page 10

The Oxford dictionary has one definition of commit as "1. to hand over, as for safekeeping charge entrust: to commit a child to the care of its aunt. " That definition sounds more like what our Lord wants - us to hand over our plans or work for safekeeping - and to entrust Him for the outcome. It 's more Fatherly. When I saw this definition, I wanted to commit my plans to Him because I know they are in good hands. I now like the word instead of rebelling against it - I felt it was more like restricting freedom before.

Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. Prov 16:3...I believe you are referring to this verse. Commit is the Hebrew word galal and means to roll them upon Him, as a burden too heavy to be borne by thyself. Thy works signify all that you have to do. So if you do these things, the Lord will bless you because they are done in His will and perfect plan.

Does this mean if I put my thoughts on paper they aren 't established?

When you serve God in truth and in spirit,you build your faith in Jesus Christ and you obey God 's commandments and flee from sins.The way is Jesus Christ.The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the way, the trurth and the Life that no one comes to the Father except through Him. John 14:6.How is your way in Jesus?....Make your way perfect in Jesus Christ.

really when god pleases with you,i am always dreaming about god,in so many ways,and am always victorious in all my enconters with the evil doers,i no god loves me,and even if I offend god,am always eager to go back to him,no matter the deceives from te devils and his agent,i will proclaim the name of the most high the greatest of all names,the alpha and the omega,and his name will reign from generations to generation,and his kingdom will have no end,realy want to work for him,he always visits me all the time,i want to work for him all the time,i want to be an instrument of the most high God almighty,to him all honour and adorations,and all the nations shall worship him and proclaim his glorious deeds and works in all the nations,am always been arrested by gods spirit when ever the devil comes,he his so great,please all I need is an advice on how to always overcome the devils temptations and his tricky ways of deceiving gods chosen people,i don 't want to be amonge the people that wilol make heaven,cos I believe heaven is real.thanks and god bless,ame.

For every person that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord, an abomination to me is not in agreement with God not keeping in his laws

My heart may think out and understand to go and or do a certain thing but the Lord may and does most of the time direct me a different way. The Lord directs my steps . Establishes my way. I want my Lord to direct my steps because His way is best.

The word of God is a cleanser to my body. Prov 16 is light to my life. Thank you Father your wisdom and understanding of your words.

Feel free to label it funny After reading through the whole Bible at least 3 times, I frankly wonder at the wealth of knowledge and wise counsel in the book of Proverbs waiting to be trappedas I read through it again presently. Pls read it slowly . Actually,I think one should read it EVERY DAY of ones ' life.

be rigtheous, do not do things that are against to GOD, follow the right path, and HE will lead you the way to success

God want us to be humble,slow to anger depart from evil.

God is awe inspiring, good, and gracious beyond our wildest dreams and imaginations. He is the chiefest among 10,000! To know Him is to be drawn to Him in Awe and Wonder!!! So when we truly behold Him in His Word, and the Holy Spirit helps us to be transformed into His Image by beholding Him in all things, and we begin to have an experimental knowledge of God in His Thoughts, Words, and Actions providentially in our daily lives, we become transformed into Him, and are growing up into the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ which God has graciously allotted to each of us. Then others will see that we have been with Jesus. Like Daniel of old, they will see that there is an excellent Spirit of God in us. We will consequently be admired, and trusted by others. In other words, God will put His Comeliness on us and we will be God like.

Eye opening! Full of wisdom!

proverbs 16 hits it right on. n the Gospel of Matthew 6 33 it says But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew reinforces Proverbs 16 for me.

If I commit my works that is the things I do unto the Lord for His glory and not my own purposes then my thoughts, the things my mind dwells on, will be established.I won 't be constantly plagued by wicked thoughts from my past.

Wisdom is necessary for life to be worth living

the less you become angry the less stress you ll have in your life life is too short to be angry stressed out all the time just put your faith belief in God 7 you ll see a big change in your life

God s way is our measure his wl is d perfect way we should not rely on our own understanding but seek God s way

I'm not much of a planner, so I just tend to go with the flow, although my wife loves to plan ahead in a systematic way. God has given my family BIG dreams, and I'm assured according to Proverbs 16:3 that all that we have planned shall be established because we've submitted every dream to the will of God. What a great promise! Amen!

A person who can control his anger is greater than he that takes over a city. Anger rest in the bossom of fools. So remember a soft answer turns away anger. Always be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. The wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

God and his works are mysterious therefore when one looks at the acts of sin committed by individuals (i.e witchcraft rape molestation murder racism poverty genicide) this is true satan is the culprit behind the very act of sin but God allowing it to take place is even more complex and mind boggling to anyone who does not understand the reason behind every one of Gods motives or level of understanding.
