Verse 17 --Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 -- A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Not saying there is no second chance but we better get it right before we go to judgement day.

Strive to enter in at the straight gate. God does not bend his rules for us. When we keep God's commandments, and ask for things, he knows how to reward the righteous. He keeps his promises. Inwardly search your heart and see if what we do is acceptable to God. Judge yourself by the standards of Jesus. He is our perfect example, and he leads us to our Father in heaven. God wants saints.

I think no matter who you are or where you came from, GOD forgives through the blood shed of Jesus Christ. Some of us gets so high and mighty that we forget that GOD has blessed us to get there and no matter what you should always treat people with respect.

Please read Philippians 3:2 Isaiah 56:10-11 Matthew 7:6. Those who are shut out of the kingdom of heaven are also so designated, Revelation 22:15. Persecutors are called dogs Psalms 22:16. As the dog was an unclean animal, the terms dog, dogs head, dead dog, were used as terms of reproach or of humiliation. Also referred to as very wicked and evil people.

Verse 4 shows the importance of making sure that we work on our own imperfections before being quick to point out the imperfections of others.

I find many Christians trying to take the easy way out. Believing that the sacrifice of the only begotten Son of God the Father is sufficient in which gives them the right to sin. We are not perfect, but Jesus stated " Be therefore perfect as your Father which is in heaven." Meaning we are to strive to be so. Read what Jesus stated in Matthew 7:20-23. The WILL of his Father. God bless

You are right there is a difference from a True Believer in Christ and a Sinner for when we become one with God we are made whole. A non-believer sinner does not reap the benefits of God which is giving on to us which is the main reason we are to become one with God and that is to have ETERNAL LIFE with him for as We Know the only prayer God heareth from a sinner is the sinner's prayer..REPENT!!

Hello, does this mean you do not believe all scripture like Luke 12:10? Since it clearly says those who blaspheme won't be forgiven, are you saying blasphemers are forgiven? opposite of what it says . Christians need to continually report and ask forgiveness of sin and try to not conform to the world: Romans 2:2. Matthew 7:21-23 is how Jesus will respond to Christians who deny Him. Rom 6:1-2.

I love this whole chapter. Mathew tells it like it is. I love Jesus and know by his stripes we are healed. Yes the gate is narrow but I know I love him because he loved me first. I thank God he sent his only begotten son. I have experienced many miracles and feel he is with me now. He loves us and I pray that everyone could know his love .Jesus will save you no matter how low you are just ask.

I do not ever want to hear those words from Jesus: I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:23. I know I am Born Again and covered by the atoning Blood of my Savior Jesus, but my mind has been under attack with really bad thoughts about Father God and Jesus burdening me daily. When these thoughts happen doubt and fear creep in and it is wearing me out. Pray for me

Most people, Christian or not, have difficulty with this and many other things in the Bible. The reason for this is because we are all human and all very flawed. It's difficult for nonbelievers to believe because Christians are human and flawed. We are all on this same journey together

Disbeliever: What did you say to them...and how did they respond? Perhaps they were the self professing “Christians” of vs 23 that Christ “never knew”.

The only way man can stay on the straight and narrow path is for him to repent of all his sins with sincerity. When God has judged man sincere, He will Baptize man with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of his prayer language. Man must pray in his sustenant prayer language to know what God's will is for his life. Man must submit to the Holy Spirit by giving up his sins. 100 reliance on the God.

chapter 6-7, Jesus teaches us many very-important 'Heavenly-Things' and 'earthly-things'; The Heavenly is for the SAVED (eternity with GOD) and the 'earthly-things' is for living life /birth-death on earth with men /women. Jesus mention several times of the HIS PLACE men call HEAVEN; also HE put 'great' inferences on entering HEAVEN. Every body wants to go to HEAVEN...

Stan: We are to Show The Lost The Way of Salvation. Very Few will Listen and Want More. Most Will Reject Anything You Say. If They Make Fun, Curse or Say Evil Things About Salvation, Christ, You etc. Never Tell Them Again. You May not Know How They Will React Until You Talk to Them The First Time. If They Ask You Later How to be Saved, Tell Them. If It's Just to Make Jokes. Walk Away

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

What does that verse mean? If dogs and swine means unbelivers, are we not suppose to testity to them?

2Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
I know its hard to not do this when making comments, but there is a lot of private interpretation here.

The Joy of Salvation is a Definite Mystery to The Lost. We are The Light that Shines in The Darkness of this World. This is No Internet Game. Whosoever are not Found Written in The Book of Life are Cast into The Lake of Fire( Revelation 20:15) Most are on The Wide Road that Leads to Destruction and Many There be which go in thereat: Because Strait is The Gate and Narrow is The Way which Leadeth Unto Life and Few There be that Find it( Matthew 7:13-14)
  • Stephende on Matthew 7 - 7 years ago
The way of destruction is broad, and many go in there at. The way of life, that gate is narrow, and few that be saved. So, brothers in arms, do not assume you are saved. You will be mistaken, for God be the arbiter of such things. Jesus, when he walked amoungst us, had power, but now resides in Heaven. Those who wait upon aome rapture, well, you have a long wait. Turn to God and His word.
