The fear of the Lord, that's where it should begin, then let the Lord lead you and your every step, down that narrow path.Separate yourself from this world, not wanting to be like or with the big crowd's,be yourself in Christ Jesus.Peter was giving the"KEY'S"to life and death,by Jesus, and it is in Acts 3:38&39,Repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the Holy GHost. For the promise is unto you and your family, as many as our Lord our God shall call.Forgive me if i missed anything in that, and shame on me for not knowing it word for word! John 3:5 state's that if you are not baptized in Water and the Spirit, you cannot enter in the Kingdom of God...everybody think's it's a big mistery, look at 1Timothy 3:16...praise Jesus! He is the only God that i know of that walk on this earth!!! John 1:1 and 1:14...2800 times the bible tell's of the oneness of God and that He is the only Spirit, Ephesians 4:4,5 and the saviour is only one, Isaiah 43:11 and Luke 1:47 and best of all, Isaiah 9:6...the Son is the Father,Prince of peace,GOD...thank-you Jesus that i hear your vioce and know the truth!!!My sheep hear My voice and they follow Me....Yes Lord!!!

This is for Jerome Rivera's question,"what is God's name",well if you read Isaiah 9:6, Luke 1:31,&1:35, 1Timothy 3:16:God was manfest in the flesh, sound's like Jesus to me!I know of only one God that walk on this earth,Jesus! He is the first and the last, welspring of living water, bread of life...Jesus is God!Anyone who would believe this and be baptized in his name,NOT name's(Acts3:38&39),shall reciece the gift of the Holy Ghost and speak in tounges as the Spirit give's them the utterance...as God's word say's.Don't try to understand it all, just believe and do what God command's of us.He never said,"Understand and you'll be saved",just believe on his word's and in Him,and do what Acts 3:38,9 tell's you to do.All the healing's in the Bible were followed by,by your faith you are healed,go and tell no one.But now that He is risen,go and tell the world about it!!!Jesus lives and is the ONLY GOD that died and is ALIVE,He has the power to take His own life and give it back!He doesn't need us, we need Him,in everything we do,do in His name and you'll never go wrong!Love Him with ALL your heart and body and soul and straingh, and trust in Him,He will lead you, but you have to believe in something that you cannot see or touch, that's called HOPE.I never knew God till about 4&1/2 year's ago and now my whole life has changed,I was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and I recieved the Holy Ghost soon after-ward's and speak in tounges as proof that God is in me!!!My daughter had skull surgy aweek or so afterward's and she was not expected to make-it.We prayed by lying hand's on her like it say's in the wrod of God, to do, and in His name,Jesus! In amatter of minuets i heard the machine beep and i looked over at it,and began praying again asking Jesus to save our 9 month old from dieing because it wouldn't be fair to her to miss out on our love in this life, and the machine beeped a couple more time's, and everytime it beeped, the tempature came down more,(it started at 107)pretty soon the nurse walked out back-ward's and when he returned, he started taking the wire's off of her that was hooked to that machine.I asked what he was doing, don't you need those to monitor her stats, and he told me, that from what he'd just seen, she was in"GOOD HAND'S and the machine had nothing on it(meaning the power of GOD!)He'd just went and made arrangement's for her to be moved to a semi-private recovery room, she's out of danger!Wow,i was floating around like you wouldn't believe, drunk in the Spirit as they say.It was awsome, the way God healed her and it was because we prayed in the name of Jesus, not some title's!!! God still is very much in our lives and Leah is doing great! She is now five and in kindergarden, ahe does have alittle bit of a speach inpeddement, but she take's a speech thrapy class and is doing very good,Thank-You Jesus!!!My Lord and my God,Here Ol'Israel, our Lord is One God!And there is no mystery here,if you believe He is God,all the knowledge of God will be poured out to you, wisdom and discernment will be your's also, God bless all who follow Him!There is ONE who sits on the thrown,Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords!!!

What i get out of it is the more you seek the wisdom of God, the more knowledge he allow's you to recieve. And this fact is for anyone who think's that the world is billion's of year's old,it's not!If you read the word of God(Bible)He (GOD) say's that the world is about six thousand year's old. Were coming upon the seventh, according to the word of God.Another thing is,Jesus is God( Isaiah 9:6), Deuteronomy 6:4, John 10:30, 1 Timothy 3:16, Ephesians 4:4-6,ect. it states in the Bible about 2,800 times that there is only ONE God!Jesus is the saviour and there is only one( Isaiah 43:11),and again in Luke 1:47...God my saviour..It seem's pretty straight forward to me,"My sheep hear my voice",are you hearing the word of God? Don't let man's interpetation miss lead you"sheep in wolves clothing",this once saved, alway's saved stuff.Even Paul said"I die daily",so what do you think he's talking about?Do youself a favor, and repent,be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sin's( Acts 2:38,39)that's the"KEYS" to heaven,Jesus gave them to Peter and taght him how to start the"church".Any other way is a thief and a robber, only the straight and the narrow way lead's to salvation. All the baptizum's in the Bible( Acts 8,10,12,18,22...)are in the NAME of The Lord Jesus Christ, not in the title's father, son, and the Holy Ghost.Stop and pray...in the name of Jesus to lead you down the right path!Has anyone ever prayed father, son, and Holy Spirit for a healing and recieved one? There is NO power in the title's!All you do,in word and or deed, do in the NAME of Jesus Christ, that's what God's word instruct's us to do!Do you speak in toung's?Jesus' mother did,and so did the first 120 that gladly recieved the Holy Spirit,in the upper room where Jesus told them to wait for the promise of the Father,Who showed up?Jesus did!!!Not the first part of a three-som,or the second,or the third,it was ALL JESUS and even Thomas said after he doughted,"My Lord and My God!There wasn't 2 Spirit's standing there!Just Jesus, and if you don't believe this salvation message, then you will die in your sin's,according to the "WORD of GOD",you have 2 ear's to hear with,listen...God is calling you.............................

Gabriel did not say you have concieved but that she will concieve. Mary seems to misunderstand this. Mary is by scripture espoused (engaged)to Joseph. If read carefully this is a direct prophetic calling to give notice of what will be !

• Boyet Christian on Luke 1:28 - 14 years ago
The angel Gabriel said, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you" ( Luke 1:28). The phrase "full of grace" is a translation of the Greek word KECHARITOMENE. It therefore expresses a characteristic quality of Mary. The traditional translation, "full of grace," is better than the one found in many recent versions of the New Testament. The grace given to Mary is at once permanent and of a unique kind. Kecharitomene is a perfect passive participle of charitoo, meaning "to fill or endow with grace." Since this term is in the perfect tense, it indicates that Mary was graced in the past but with continuing effects in the present. So, the grace Mary enjoyed was not a result of the angel’s visit, it is extended over the whole of her life, from conception onward. She was in a state of sanctifying grace from the first moment of her existence.

The women after Christ's resurrection, Noah, Moses, David, Gideon, and Jael are NOT considered by the bible as KECHARITOMENE. ONLY FOR MARY is the word KECHARITOMENE used in the bible as a proper name, clearly showing the singular way God has blessed her with His grace and holiness. The fullness of such grace and holiness would not at all be consistent with any presence of sin, giving us an indirect statement of Mary's complete freedom from sin.

I stand, always, amazed at the workings of our Lord and Savior. By just looking at the blood lines of Zacharia/Elizabeth, Joseph/Mary coming together to bring forth the Gospel of Christ, Wow and AMEN! This, alone, could change a sinner's thought processes about who Jesus is when they would come to the realization of it's power. It's the blood, the precious blood that has all power to cleanse, save, and heal. AMEN (again)

Sad it may be, but it's only inspirational if true. To be true, certain events must have actually occurred. If they did not occur then it is myth and for this reason alone it is worth engaging with the difficulties that I have previously outlined.

Here is some of the mystery of God 1Tim 3:16 helps you to understand Jesus gave a great commission to the world, In the begining God lead his people out of the wilderness thru his servant Moses. But now in the end of the world he came into the world by the sacrifice of himself Hebrews 9:1-28 talking about himself coming as the second veil (meaning flesh)to put away sin Hebrews 10:5 where he talks about a body he prepaired himself so that he could shed blood for the sins of the world, because the bible says that wiithout the shedding of blood there was no remission for sins Hebrews 2:14,9:7,12-14,18-22. Being the great God that he is, he placed himself in a virgin woman called Mary (womb) to be born as a son in the flesh and as he was born the angel had already spoke to her and said his name shall be called Jesus which is the name above every name( Luke 1:27-35)The Holy Ghost is the spirit of the Lord, so he became flesh ( John 1:1-14). Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and on the day of pentecost Peter answered the question of how to be saved when the people ask (men and brethen what shall we do ?) Please read carefully with an open heart to God's word. Whosoever obey shall be saved (Acts:1 and 2). God's Blessings!!

It's a great commission from God, as in vs. 19-20 telling us to be baptized in the name of the father, son and the Holy Ghost is all wonderful, but where alot of us get the wrong thought is not understanding what's the name? As in human nature we come to this world in the flesh born of a woman as a son or daughter but we do not name our children son or daughter do we? (No) we give them a name, so take a look at this scripture and search it out for the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. Read John 14:8-10 the differance is the flesh and spirit, God planted himself in a virgin woman name Mary to become flesh Read Hebrews 10:5, Luke 1:30-35 pay attention to the repeat of SON, God overshadowed her with his spirit so that he can come to the world to shed his blood for us, because no one else was worthy so he made himself a body using a woman never been touched by man physically and we know when Mary birth him his name was called JESUS! Read Hebrews 9:12-15 & 26. Father is spirit,Son is flesh and Holy Ghost is spirit that indwells us when we receive him in our temple. If you would like to here more and see more scriptures please feel free to ask and God Bless you all. God's word you have to search and find the mystery of him read 1 timothy 3:16 (Anita)
in particular verse LUKE 1:35 IT IS THE HOLY GHOST OF THE FATHER THAT IS COME UPON MARY. AND THE HOLY THING THAT IS BORN THROUGH MARY IS CALLED THE SON OF GOD AS SIMPLE AS THAT AND NOTHING TO BE COMPLICATED THAT THERE IS ONLY BUT ONE GOD.
Alas, that is not entirely true nor is it that simple, because the modern doctrine of the Trinity (which I concede is not Biblical; though most Christians wouldn't) teaches that there are three deities; all apparently equal in status and none of which is supreme! Ergo; modern Christians believe in three Gods, though they don't like to admit it. Those Christians who persisted in maintaining a belief in one God, that is to say; one superior to both the Son and the Holy Spirit, have been declared heretics since the 4th century!

I see nobody wants to discuss the elephant in the room! It seems like a classic case of 'when faced with a thorny issue', make dark foreboding noises or talk about something else. If anyone has the wherewithal to tackle my concerns seriously, either with historical fact or scripture I will be happy to respond. Until such time I shall rest my case which is essentially that Matthew and Luke are both unreliable historically and in scripture!
• Ben weaver on Matthew 1 - 15 years ago
How could the Holy Spirit make Mary pregnant? Luke 1:35 has some more explanation. Further, I suppose the process was a spiritual principle that God uses repeatedly. The creation of our world was an idea of God, which He spoke into being. For God's purpose to be fulfilled in humankind, I notice, there is usually a human statement of agreement required; i.e. with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. In the conception of Mary specifically, the angel Gabriel spoke this act of God and Mary confirmed it for completion (see Luke 1:31 & 38). If God could breathe the life of humanity into a full grown man (Adam), surely he could fertilize an egg without a human father. 1 Cor. 15:45 says the first Adam was made a living soul (being), the last Adam was made a quickening (life giving) spirit. The life element in this transaction was the WORD aspect of God becomming human flesh ( John 1:14).

There were naysayers in the OT when Nehemiah went back to Jerusalem to rebuild the city. So understand this, either you’ll meet Jesus when you die or you’ll see him come in the Glory of his father. That is if you believe.

• Ben Weaver on Luke 1:35 - 15 years ago
There are several modes of being God's son. Lu. 3:38 says "Adam was the son of God". He was God's created son and received his life from God. 1 Jn. 3:2 says "Beloved, now are we the sons of God", (adopted sons through "Christ, who is our life" Col. 3:4). Jesus is the only begotten Son of God because no other human mother ever conceived by a work of the Holy Spirit, without a human father. All descendants of Adam inherited the sin curse and passed it on to their children. As I see it, the only way God could have; adopted human children, is to by-pass the father role and to enter humanity to become a human mediator for us. Through the legal transaction of believing and confessing that God raised His Son Jesus from the dead for (me) anyone becomes God's son and heir along with Jesus(males and females alike). Awesome grace.
