Psalm 91 Verse 11 of this Psalm was quoted in Matthew 4:6; which is indicative of the promises which the Son of God no doubt had being part of the eternal Godhead with the angels He created for eternal worship in heavenly places.

Thank you for this information. That is also my understanding. However, the intent of my post was not to show how the Hebrew people greet each other. What I was sharing had to do with the phrase, "Peace be to this house."
That phrase is an actual Hebraism that that a Hebrew person would have understood.
That is a Hebraism that means when you come into a house or into a city, you're asking for SHALOM, is there a son of peace here? Meaning, are you receptive to Messiah?
If they are rejecting the message they have about Jesus Christ as Messiah, then they are told, may your peace return to you, and you leave that house. It has to be a house that is going to be at peace with Christ, and at peace with them, for them to stay.

Luke 6:30 is part of a section ( Luke 6:27-38) that deals with the conduct of life, our attitude toward other people. There are 13 things that are mentioned in this section and Verse 30 is one of those things.

It says give to everyone that asks you, everyone! And of him that takes away thy goods do not ask them back again.
Now wait a minute! If you take my things, where does that leave me? I mean that makes me a little angry. Well, if they take away my things, what have I lost? My things!

My interpretation of this verse is as follows , if someone asks to borrow something from me , money , my lawn mower etc , I don't ask for them back . If that person gives me the thing back , of their own free will , that's great , but I don't ask for anything back . Most of the time those things are given back to me without me even having to think about it , it's only occasionally that I don't get things back . So , when I lend something to someone , I don't expect to get it back , it's gone forever as far as Im concerned .

I am fairly dogmatic as to those before the age of accountability not being punished for their sin NATURE since they haven't acted out the sin knowing that they are rebels against God. When we look at Romans 7:9-11; we understand this concept; and when we see the story of David and his son who died ( 2 Samuel 12:23) we see evidence of this amongst other places ( Psalm 8:2 for example).
Another way of looking at is is the verse "we will not have this man to rule over us." ( Luke 19:14). The concept of "waiting upon tables". Acts 6:2 discusses the situation where the twelve Disciples were in need of redistribution of assignments for what some would consider "menial tasks." Such a situation is reminiscent of Moses and the situation of him overexerting himself with resolving various issues among the throng of exiles and the resulting advice from Jethro in Exodus 18.
In observing such a topic; we are wise to remember Christ's statement that the greatest is the servant of all in Matthew 23:11.
The issue; of course was in both cases the gifts of the ministry were not being given the time to blossom for those God has placed in authority in the church. It is perhaps illustrated most commonly with the situation of a Pastor; but certainly could involve others who are overburdened within a church. That is where it gets tricky. With any ministry; it can be assumed that whatever the individual does the most is a reflection of their particular calling. There is a subtle difference between what a person is gifted in and the fruit of the Spirit which exemplifies their unique disposition. Someone; for instance could be very patient and longsuffering (a faruit); and it is assumed they are showing a gift of mercy or helps. They may in fact have wisdom from above; and a need to share through fellowship or Bible study things which are needed for mutual edification. We needn't dismiss a Pastor from helping with the "down and dirty" tasks either; at least we would expect help on a service day cleaning up a church; for instance.
When we look at Christ as our example; he indeed washed the Disciple's feet. ( John 13). We do NOT see any evidence that he went to towns to buy food (He would occasionally CREATE food when necessary). The concept of being invited to people's homes in order to preach the Gospel seems to be a lost art these days. Also Luke 10:38-42 shows how obsessively serving a guest may not be the best approach at times.

As with anything else the attitudes of the heart are more important than a surface level of the law. Or; in order to do what was expected "obedience is better than sacrifice." ( 1 Samuel 15:22). This is why certain functions were only done by priests. Christ Himself; of course was fully God and fully man; certainly the Creator could do as He wished. Mercy and compassion were used over and over to the obstinate Pharisees who Christ would frequently bother doing miracles on the Sabbath. Luke 14:5 shows that compassion to an animal is a "work" that someone with compassion would do if an animal fell in a pit. ( Proverbs 12:10-12).
The law until the church was established was still in effect; and people were told to do what was required but not the way the Pharisees did as they were full of hypocrisy. ( Matthew 23:23). The law now was summarized by Christ by loving God with all your heart; soul; mind and strength and loving your neighbor as yourself ( Luke 10:27). We are asked now in the N.T. NOT to follow "holy days" and such ( Galatians 4:9-10). Some say there is controversy there; but it is clear that Paul did meet on the first day of the week ( Acts 20:7); and collections were to be prepared that day ( 1 Cor. 16:2). At the very least; the Son of man being lord of the Sabbath trumps any earlier Sabbath laws since we are under a New Covenant as to having to meet Saturdays.
It would appear that Sunday worship was established; although I will not argue that it is to be substituted for what was Saturday worship; or it is wrong any day to gather for corporate worship. The effect of the law certainly doesn't bring a death penalty. However; many laws that did (the clearest being murder) hasn't helped society today with it's lawlessness; clearly.
Once He comes in the Millennium; He will rule with a rod of iron and enforce law.
Scripture does not tell us when Satan rebelled and lost his rank, when Jesus said I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven, Luke 10:18, Scripture does tell us when he will be cast down permanently with no more access to heaven. He still has access because he is the accuser. When he will be cast out forever is in the future, that starts the tribulation that is coming.

Thank you for this information. That is also my understanding. However, the intent of my post was not to show how the Hebrew people greet each other. What I was sharing had to do with the phrase, "Peace be to this house."
That phrase is an actual Hebraism that that a Hebrew person would have understood.
I think "shalom aleichem" (peace on you) or just "shalom" is how Jews greet one another when they meet, like "hello" in English.
That is a Hebraism that means when you come into a house or into a city, you're asking for SHALOM, is there a son of peace here? Meaning, are you receptive to Messiah?
If they are rejecting the message they have about Jesus Christ as Messiah, then they are told, may your peace return to you, and you leave that house. It has to be a house that is going to be at peace with Christ, and at peace with them, for them to stay.
Luke 10;5- And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
6And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.KJ Bible.

Luke 6:30 is part of a section ( Luke 6:27-38) that deals with the conduct of life, our attitude toward other people. There are 13 things that are mentioned in this section and Verse 30 is one of those things.
Here is what I see in Verse 30:
It says give to everyone that asks you, everyone! And of him that takes away thy goods do not ask them back again.
Now wait a minute! If you take my things, where does that leave me? I mean that makes me a little angry. Well, if they take away my things, what have I lost? My things!
It's interesting how the Lord helps us work things out when we accumulate too much of the world, and He allows the world to take it away through the various means. Please don't ask for it back. Don't fight for it. It was taken away for a reason!
Are you sure you are not referring to Peter instead of Paul. This seems like the account given to us in Acts Chapter 12.
When we are "conformed to the image of His Son" ( Romans 8:29) we see the concept of predestination and "first fruits" there; which would foreshadow a Rapture/Resurrection event. Another way to put it is that those who read the Beatitudes on a surface level or human level of understanding see a humanitarian sort of principle of for instance; how to be "peacemakers"; feed the poor; etc. ANYONE; even an atheist can do such things but it is only the Holiness of God through the Spirit after true conversion that gives us the reality of that in our souls. No amount of penance; self sacrifice or other actions can give us more of a desire for God's Holiness if it doesn't already exist in someone's soul! Nonetheless "faith without works is dead." ( James 2:17). Poducing fruit is essential for a true believer as we see with the Parable of the Sower and the seed.
There are also various levels of suffering in hell as well as rewards in heaven. We see this in Matthew 11:20-24 with several cities in mind. Also we see this in Matthew 13:8 as to the 30 fold and 100 fold producers (also see 1 Cor. 15:41).
I am fairly dogmatic as to those before the age of accountability not being punished for their sin NATURE since they haven't acted out the sin knowing that they are rebels against God. When we look at Romans 7:9-11; we understand this concept; and when we see the story of David and his son who died ( 2 Samuel 12:23) we see evidence of this amongst other places ( Psalm 8:2 for example).
Another way of looking at is is the verse "we will not have this man to rule over us." ( Luke 19:14). This is what all say who go against the Man who God has given all authority to in heaven and earth ( Matt. 28:18). If we disbelieve the living Word ( Heb. 4:12 etal) then we reject His authority and preservation as well as 2 Timothy 3:16 which states all scripture is breathed of God..
Or; Luke 10:16 rejecting you is rejecting me.

In observing such a topic; we are wise to remember Christ's statement that the greatest is the servant of all in Matthew 23:11.
The issue; of course was in both cases the gifts of the ministry were not being given the time to blossom for those God has placed in authority in the church. It is perhaps illustrated most commonly with the situation of a Pastor; but certainly could involve others who are overburdened within a church. That is where it gets tricky. With any ministry; it can be assumed that whatever the individual does the most is a reflection of their particular calling. There is a subtle difference between what a person is gifted in and the fruit of the Spirit which exemplifies their unique disposition. Someone; for instance could be very patient and longsuffering (a faruit); and it is assumed they are showing a gift of mercy or helps. They may in fact have wisdom from above; and a need to share through fellowship or Bible study things which are needed for mutual edification. We needn't dismiss a Pastor from helping with the "down and dirty" tasks either; at least we would expect help on a service day cleaning up a church; for instance.
When we look at Christ as our example; he indeed washed the Disciple's feet. ( John 13). We do NOT see any evidence that he went to towns to buy food (He would occasionally CREATE food when necessary). The concept of being invited to people's homes in order to preach the Gospel seems to be a lost art these days. Also Luke 10:38-42 shows how obsessively serving a guest may not be the best approach at times.

Please note the verse right before, Jeremiah 29:11, Jeremiah 29:10, sometimes we want GOD to change our situations "right now", sometimes HE does, but I believe this promise, is for GOD's people when we need the encouragement for the troubled times & endurance in longer seasons. Notice in Daniel, he & his companions had went through many difficult moments but GOD in miraculous ways delivered them, protected them & even encouraged them. I believe it was after Daniel was thrown in the lions den that he fasted & humbly prayed about the promise made in Jeremiah 29:10,11, Daniel 9:1,2,3, still waiting on that promise of 70 years,
note Daniel 6:1,2,3, (for why I place the timing, seemingly after lions den) the noted scriptures referring to about Daniel's encouragement, & companions, some say "the greater the trial the greater the miraculous": Daniel 1:8,9,17, Daniel 2:12,13,17,23 Daniel 3:12-27, Daniel 4:19,24,25, Daniel 5, Daniel 6:7,10,16,22,28, Daniel 9:23, Daniel 10:11,12,18, Daniel 11:1,
Luke 10:19, there are moments that are painful but when we look at Salvation, the pruning, witness to strengthen the Body of Believers, then we realize it didn't "hurt us".

Who is an antichrist? Christ is a translation of the Greek word Christos which means anointed one. The Hebrew word is Mashiach translated Messiah which means the anointed one, the chosen one. One who God fixed for a specific purpose set apart to fulfill God's plan.
Jesus said many times that He/Him sent me, Matt. 10:40 Mark 9:37 Luke 10:16 John 5:30 and many more times. Also, Jesus said He came down from heaven not to do His will but to do the will of Him who sent Him in John 6:38, and Jesus said this in John 6:35-40.
We see when Jesus was baptized, He was anointed not with oil but with the Holy Spirit/Ghost, Matt 3:16 Mark 1:10 Luke 3:22 John 1:32, and John 3:34-36 Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit without measure. Peter confesses and puts clear the Messiah/Christ, and the miracles, wonders, and signs God did by Him Acts 2:22, also read 23-39.
"God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit", manifest Greek word phanero; revealed, made known, 1 Timothy 3:16 John 17:1-8. God gave His only begotten Son, God sent His Son who was come in the flesh, tempted as you or me, and the spirit of antichrist is denying that is true, John 3:16 1 John 4:3 2 John 1:7. Christ is not part of Jesus name it is a title, Jesus is the Messiah, Jesus is the Christ.
A liar is he who denies or says Jesus is not the Christ/Messiah, and he is an antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son. If we deny the Son, we have not the Father but if we acknowledge the Son we have the Father also, 1 John 2:18-24. You must come to your own understanding not mine, with open mind, prayer, and the Holy Spirit guiding you, you will.
These verses about the antichrist paint a picture of a deceptive seducing spirit and the people that have been deceived, just like Eve 2 Cor. 11:3. My understanding of these verses does not refer to the beast that will ascend out of the bottomless pit that has come to be called the antichrist.

neither any tree; but ... those men which have not the seal of God upon their foreheads.
If you have the seal = truth, these ScorpiOns are commanded/by GOD to NOT hurt you during (THAT HOUR).
This reminds us of Gideon when he asked the angel whose side are you on and he said "the Lord's side." ( Joshua 5:13-15). As with anything else the attitudes of the heart are more important than a surface level of the law. Or; in order to do what was expected "obedience is better than sacrifice." ( 1 Samuel 15:22). This is why certain functions were only done by priests. Christ Himself; of course was fully God and fully man; certainly the Creator could do as He wished. Mercy and compassion were used over and over to the obstinate Pharisees who Christ would frequently bother doing miracles on the Sabbath. Luke 14:5 shows that compassion to an animal is a "work" that someone with compassion would do if an animal fell in a pit. ( Proverbs 12:10-12).
The law until the church was established was still in effect; and people were told to do what was required but not the way the Pharisees did as they were full of hypocrisy. ( Matthew 23:23). The law now was summarized by Christ by loving God with all your heart; soul; mind and strength and loving your neighbor as yourself ( Luke 10:27). We are asked now in the N.T. NOT to follow "holy days" and such ( Galatians 4:9-10). Some say there is controversy there; but it is clear that Paul did meet on the first day of the week ( Acts 20:7); and collections were to be prepared that day ( 1 Cor. 16:2). At the very least; the Son of man being lord of the Sabbath trumps any earlier Sabbath laws since we are under a New Covenant as to having to meet Saturdays.
It would appear that Sunday worship was established; although I will not argue that it is to be substituted for what was Saturday worship; or it is wrong any day to gather for corporate worship. The effect of the law certainly doesn't bring a death penalty. However; many laws that did (the clearest being murder) hasn't helped society today with it's lawlessness; clearly.
Once He comes in the Millennium; He will rule with a rod of iron and enforce law.
Scripture does not tell us when Satan rebelled and lost his rank, when Jesus said I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven, Luke 10:18, Scripture does tell us when he will be cast down permanently with no more access to heaven. He still has access because he is the accuser. When he will be cast out forever is in the future, that starts the tribulation that is coming.
Revelation 12:7-9 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
