I give thanks and glory to John who humbly give good accounts of the Messiah and not given credit to himself by saying I baptize you with water but he will do with the Holy Spirit.
  • Tracey Greene on John 1 - 9 years ago
I love that part where the word says: and all we have received of His fullness. Christ is full of grace and truth, and having received of His fullness is incredible, His Spirit lives on the inside of us giving us a truly wonderful power to overcome the things of the world. John makes it plain, to the point.
  • Dewey J on Colossians 1 - 9 years ago
Jennifer, you are correct. Also this scripture is saying that Jesus Christ is and was truly God in the human body. John 1:1 In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. The Son part of the holy Trinity. Jesus accepted worship from men on earth. Phil. 2:6 Being found in the form of man he thought it not robbery to be equal with God. Glory be to God in the highest.

  • Gonad on Isaiah 43 - 9 years ago
Isaiah 43:11, I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

As it applies to Earth's timeline the Saviour, Jesus Christ had not yet come. Even so Jesus Christ is one with God.

John 1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Bible from beginning to end is about Jesus Christ.

Really good question. Always search bible for answer!

Verse 3 shows that not even one thing has come into existence apart from Jesus.

    An answer to Dominic Butler,

Yes GOD and Jesus created the earth. Go to your scripture and read John 1:1-3, 10 and also Genesis 1:26.

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with GOD and the Word was GOD.

I am wondering why you don't capitalize the personal pronouns that refer to God in this text. Is there a reason for it? Thanks.

John 1:34 "this is the son of God " how clear can it be said.
  • Mark on Isaiah 19 - 9 years ago
Note George: God creates all men / women in His likeness (since the fall). We are to be conformed / remade into His image = Christ Jesus. Other than the "Son of man," Jesus, ( John 1:1-3),God IS NOT a man. See: Numbers 23:19: God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

I think John came to inform us about Jesus Christ and what He meant to us and who He is.Looking at John 1vs 1 which states that in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.Meaning to say that every word of God we speak it can be prophecy,or praying for those that are not well we will be speaking God in that individuals life.We will be bringing light in that persons life.Furthermore, if you look at John1:14 it tasks about the word becoming flesh.Which word? That word which was mentioned in the book of John 1:2 that the word was Godd. As we speak the word, we pray it becomes flesh in us it is not dead but alive and it is going to accomplish what I will be sending it fourth to do.Likensure when God saI'd let the light and there was light.Wooh this is powerfull. As as Christian we should exercase that authority which has been given unto us by speaking the word which is flesh and alive. I can go on and on.It was nicestablished sharinget with your.

Philippians 2:6,7 tells us that Jesus was made in the likeness of men, he became human and had all the charsteristics of a human being. In human form Jesus Christ felt hungry, became tired, was tempted, but never once sinned. As a human being Jesus Christ needed to be spiritually strenghtened and that is one of the reason why He prayed to His Father.

To Devlin if your still reading this, yes it does state in the bible that Jesus is God. Please read, John 1:1 in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. I don't know you, your age, earthly age or Christian age. You made baby Christian for a season one. I won't make an assumption. I was a Christian for many years before I realized "Word" is capitalized! Word is Christ!!! Just replace "Word" with"Christ". I think bc not only was Christ sent here to die for our sins but, also to be the earthly voice of God. If we were to hear the voice of God I believe it would be to much for a human to handle.

  • Jude Howell on John 1 - 10 years ago
John, was the Apostle, that Jesus loved. He loved the others as well, but there was something special about John. In this Epistle, the difference in this Gospel and the other Gospels, are clear. Jesus has always been here. He was here during the beginning of the world. He has always been here, and will always be here, along with God the Father, and the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!
  • Susan on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
The Godhead consists of three. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Gospel of John 1:1-3,14 mentions the Father and clarifies that the Word is Jesus and Genesis 1:2 mentions the Spirit. All three present and taking part in Creation. I think of their parts like a contractor, architect and builder. The Father had the basic plan, the Son did the design and the Spirit, the work.

The Grace of God teaches us to deny ungodliness : The word of God is Truth : The law to my understanding : 5 are toward God and 5 are toward man : If I break one of those laws it is as though I have broken all in God's eyes : Not a one of us has kept the law : For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God : This is where Grace and Truth comes in . Jesus is our Passover Lamb !!!

I love to read and learn from the Scriptires.
If the people in Jesus' day, when He was among them, had received him as these first disciples accepted him, our world would be different today. The TRUTH will remain so no matter.how the enemy slices it.
  • Norm on Romans 6 - 10 years ago
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Do not be deceived and lean not on thine own understanding as God teaches both are unrighteous: Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour is the spirit of prophecy and knows His flock: The church in Philadelphia is here and will be shielded from the wrath of Great tribulation of hell that cometh upon all the nations of the whole earth. The Spirit of Christ Jesus is in the flesh today and will remove His church which is scattered about. JESUS SAVES. 2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Yes, the 144,000 which were sealed from the twelve tribes of Israel will be with Him together with them the shall believe on His name ( from the Gentile age - John 1:10 - 13). We became children of God before we were fleshly born here on earth but by predestination. ( Romans 9:23 - 25 says He shall call us His people who were not His - not in 144,000)
