Pauline; From the beginning sacrifices were intended for bringing sin to remembrance, and for a sign of the suffering of the Saviour to come. God first, in making coats of skins for the man and his wife, and next by Abel offering of his flocks in presenting himself and giving account to God; according to the Word of Christ coming to break the head of the devil by Himself being slain. Gen. 3:15

...where He had been brought up. AND AS HIS CUSTOM WAS, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.”‭‭Luke‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Jesus was a very consistent person in His spiritual life.He had a lifestyle of going to the synagogue and listening to the word. Jesus wasnot a person separate from assembling himself together with believers of like faith. He was faithful to church.

Irene; "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." As children of God we will recognize our own family, and its always little slice of heaven whenever we're together; whether for Meeting, or just a few minutes. Sorry to say, but this has rarely been my experience in a Church.

"For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things..." Hebrews 10:1...looking ahead we see that the law was at best, a shadow, a figure, a type, with things on earth pre-shadowing both our lives as saints, and our lives in eternity. Chapter 9 is revealing how the types and shadows interact with the tabernacle and temple in light of our NT lives and living.

YES, servant! as it is written; "Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?" John 10:32; and "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10. Also: Matthew 5:16; 1 Timothy 5:10,25; 6:18; Titus 1:16; 3:8,14; Hebrews 10:24; 2 Timothy 3:17; James 3:13; etc.

I want to insert that a church is a individual person, not a building. Also another thing I will add is that a I have the gift of healing and this is how I clear karmic debt and offer over to God the Father a living sacrifice. By

Deut 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord" not 3. God is an invisible spirit and doesn't have a right hand, that is metaphor for "the hand of power". He put on flesh John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us" Hebrews 10:5 "Wherefore when he cometh into the world...a body hast thou prepared me" Jesus Christ IS GOD manifest in flesh and is on the throne Hebrews 12:2

the word of God explains clearly In Hebrews we are not to trod down the Grace of God Jesus died once not over and over everytime we sin which means he would have to died again that's not going to happen
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 12 - 9 years ago
Hebrews 10:31, Some one that believes this verse to be true, and has understanding of what "in the hands of the living God" means, certainly would be afraid of him!

Mary: it's a fearful thing to fall into The Hands of The Living God. Hebrews 10:31

Linda: My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. If any man sin, we have an advocate with The Father Jesus Christ The Righteous: And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole World. 1John 2:1-2 /
  • Linda on Hebrews 10 - 9 years ago
That if anyone sin willfully after believing on the sacrifice of Jesus, there is no more sacrifice for sin. Just a horrible dreading of punishment after death.

Barnabus / Rouse: No one can come to Christ until The Father Calls(a tug on your Heart): 1John 6:44 / Ask Forgiveness: 1John 1:9 / You will be Washed by His Blood: Revelation 1:5 and Baptized with The Holy Ghost: Mark 1:8, You will be changed: 2Corinthians 5:17. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a New Creature:old things are passed away;.behold all things are become new.
  • Elder Rouse on Hebrews 10 - 9 years ago
It lets you know that Christ made the ultimate sacrifice by dying for our sins and once we accept him as our mediator between God and man we ought to live by faith because he has justified and made us righteous
  • A disciple on Hebrews 10 - 9 years ago
Barnabas; Not sure what you mean? The Sacred and Holy Thing "committed to our trust," is NOT "ours to do with as we please!" All souls are God's, and the prerogative to save one and destroy another is His only as well. God has put the capacity in each of us, do either be of the truth, or else to never stand in the truth; to serve God or to serve Him not.We will be judged according to that we have.
  • Barnabus on Hebrews 10 - 9 years ago
I, too, am one in need of salvation, which is the preservation of the soul, which was granted to me somehow, someway, in the eonosphere(
made up name). Nevertheless, is it not mine to do with as I desire. Will it endure no matter what or will it die in the lake of fire for carelessness towards God law of Monotheism? Hebrews is about Salvation in Faith. Moses is Salvation in obedience. Right?

lu2677: FEAR, is for the lost, the unsaved, one who is doing wrong. When a person is Saved,All fear is going. The fear of Dying,of Judgment,of---? There is no fear in love but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath Torment. He that Feareth is not made perfect in love. 1John 4:18 / The Day of Salvation is like no other,The Day He Entered My Heart! Oh! What a Difference He makes! WOW!!!
  • Lu2677 on Hebrews 10 - 9 years ago
Hebrews 10:31"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." Amen
Some say He is not a God to be feared. A warning, is from love.
  • Lu2677 on Hebrews 10 - 9 years ago
V.10 "once for all". Christ died for all men.

---We are sanctified through the offering of The Body of Jesus Christ once for all.--- After He Offered One Sacrifice for Sins forever, sat down on The Right Hand of God: Hebrews 10:10-12 / Neither is there Salvation in any there:for there is none other Name under Heaven given among men whereby We must be Saved. Acts 4:12 / Only by His Blood We are Saved. He is The only Door. / John 6:44
  • Wayne on Matthew 28 - 9 years ago
Bible Reader, read Hebrews 10:12. Jesus is sitting on the right hand of The Father. Our high priest and His Father. Also, Matthew 28:19 states Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. By Jesus Christ himself. Couldn't be clearer. Read John 17:3, the Lord's prayer.

Wayne, I hope you know - I'm not angry with you; nor do I feel you are with me; we're just frustrated with each other. Therefore - may I ask you- do you attend church? I'm not asking what ch.; that's not my business; neither is if you attend one. So I won't be upset if you choose not to answer. God bless.
  • Cephas on Hebrews 10 - 9 years ago
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation? O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation. These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me for they are thine. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition that the scripture might be fulfilled. And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
