Eve knew the effects of eating from the tree. She clearly responded at Genesis 3:2,3. Both Adam and Eve knew what death was for they had seen animals die. Regardless of knowing evil, she chose to believe a lie over God, becoming like God in the sense of setting standards of good and bad, something that was strictly decided by God before their rebellion.

The tree of knowledge wasn't supernatural. It represented God's sovereignty like a king uses a crown or sceptre to symbolize their authority. This tree which was guarded by cherubs ( Genesis 3:24) would have eventually withered away.

3:22- so what happened to the tree of life? Does it still exist? Or did it go extinct with the dinosaurs? Plus, God says "became as one of us, to know good n evil" it is possible Eve didn't know the serpent was purposely trying to cause their downfall if the knowledge of evil didn't exist? And hence may not have been coerced over a period of time, as we assume?

Man's best defense against evil will be to resist having a conversation with evil. If Eve had said NO to the serpent at the very onset of the conversation , and refused to hear anything coming from the serpent , this sin will not have happened .
Lesson learnt for me is to watch thought closely and ask myself if that on coming conversation is from God or not. I will dismiss the evil's chat.

Man once walked with Almighty God, and was obedient. Now Adam is told to leave the garden and refused so God "...drove out the man..." Sin will always bring more disobedience.

I think every time you read or hear this scripture read the blame always fall on Eve, I don't believe that the serpent could have gotten close to her if Adam was around more and I think that the serpent came around daily charming her til she fell for what he was saying yes I agree she was wrong. The same way the serpent charm Eve she did it to Adam and I don't believe it was done in one day

All languages were created by God. There was a time when mankind spoke only one language. It wasn't until mankind became too curious about God and heaven. Mankind's decided to build a tower towards heaven. God saw what man was doing, God said mankind should not know everything. So God broke up the languages. Notice in the 15 th vs the controversy, enmity, between seed of Eve and Satans. Seed is descendants of childern not yet born, controversy began. Rev. 12:4 Satan,dragon cast his seed to earth,tares in Matt. 13:36-44 wicked one sows the tares to earth the same as God sends His children to earth. John 8:44 Christ speaking to these tares are of 1st murderer Cain whos father was Satan, their father.

Lenetra the only sins you need to ask God forgiveness for are your own each day. I myself ask God when realized. But someone who has sined aren't yours and God isn't going to Judge you for something your dad or mom or anything that happen to others in life. Day by day the book records in heaven of our good works and our bad and if you repent for yours that are bad are erased. In CHRIST Name always

I personally like to read Psalm 51 and then I believe in my heart that I am forgiven, so I hope this helps.

God will always honor his word he means what he says and there is always a consequence for disobedience. Obedience is better than sacrifice.

Cause in genesis chap 1:1-2the bible says God created heaven and earth. The earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep. And God started to create things on earth for Heaven was perfect and well done the Angels were been created that is why God did not touch the Heavens but the earth. satan were been created by God before God created things on earth. well it say it in Isiah 14 verse15 he wanted to be like the father. There was no other angel as beautiful as Lucifer it was his pride that took him down.

The God that we serve is the same God who ask Adam "Where are you?" It says to us you can't hide-God knows.

Carol, There is no reference that I know of in scripture that says the actual tree of life still stands.
It is no longer needed; Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. John 14:6. When you wonder about such things you are turning to the right and turning to the left. God warns us not to do this.
