Jayden, there are usually two ways that the Bible looked upon. One is for its historical value & for a cursory look for interest's sake. The Bible is rich in history of course, where information & detail is given that is unavailable from other documents or books. So there is value there.

However, & secondly, for those who are Christians & those seeking to know more about God, His Ways, & dealings in Earth's affairs, the Bible becomes invaluable. The Bible shows us God's love for His creation & His provision for us (both physically & spiritually). It answers most of the questions we have about life & death & gives answers & illustrations of those who have gone through similar struggles to us with temptations & hardships in life. If you think of any question you have about a struggle you might have or a family situation, the Bible will have an answer for you. If you don't read the Bible or you lower its importance in your life, then you won't have God's Mind & Answer for you. Your answer will need to come from within yourself or from another; & there is a much greater risk of being led astray or not being satisfied.

His Word is no ordinary Book. It was written of course by the hand of men, but the Bible tells us that they were led by God's Spirit to write; 2 Peter 1:20,21: speaks of Prophecy (messages of future events, of which the Bible has many). And some of these prophecies have been fulfilled already, & some are awaiting fulfilment. The Word of God is like my daily Handbook, referred to more than any other material available on my bookshelf. Please spend much time in reading it, & what you don't understand, ask here or at your Church, etc. It is the most important Book you will ever own or read.

    Jayden,

I think it is important to read the bible in order to grow spiritually in Christ. Growth comes through continuous reading and studying of the scripture. Also, without reading the bible, how are we to know if what we are being taught is true? We have to search the scriptures in order to test all things to see if what is presented to us is the truth. It's just like exercising, if we don't exercise, eventually our muscles will weaken. We grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through a continuous study of His word. There can be no growth without reading and studying. In fact, the bible tells us that when we leave off from studying God's word, we become dull of hearing. In other words, there will be no growth, and the things we learned and once knew, we will begin to forget. That is why I feel it's important to stay in the word.

The Bible is our daily bread. It help us grow spiritually as a Christian. We need to feed on it daily and master it and help us to know God more deeply

Reading Ezekiel 28:12-19, Matthew 25:41, Hebrews 2:14 and Revelation 20:10, it is apparent that the end of Satan is destruction in the lake of fire. There is no savior for fallen angels. Thank the LORD that he so loved us and provided his Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for our sin.

Satan was lucifer the archangel so he has all the attributes of angels as he was one. he probably flew, swam, was on top of the ark, Really what does it matter anyway, he is so evil and we should not focus on him. but here is some scripture Isaiah 14:12-15 2 Corinthians 11:14 Ezekiel 28:17 Ezekiel 28:15 1 Peter 5:8

A Disciple, remember that among the heathen were also unbelieving Jews who took their side and denied Christ, their Messiah. They also will be judged with their neighbors and of them only a remnant will go into the Kingdom with Him. :

I disagree slightly with Betty Weaver. The first part 1-12 was it, God is speaking of the actual King, then He begins in 13. moreover to address the author of the kings heart, and thoughts character, Satan. He declares Satan s beauty and position at the first, then his evilness and great fall from Grace his desire to be like the Most High God and sit in His seat, no mercy will be found for him!
  • Pastor Cameron Swain - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 6 years ago
Dear Atlus, Satan did not always exist. He is a created being Ezekiel 28:15 was created as a cherub and when he fell he became a dragon Revelation 12:9 . Because he was created, he is technically limited, though so powerful that you wouldn't think so. He is referred to as the god of this world in II Corinthians 4:4, as well as the prince of the power of the air Ephesians 2:2 .

Ezekiel 28:1-19.Thus saith the Lord.God is describing satan here.he was a cherub. His beauty ,his knowledge.satan was with GOD in the beginning .he was one of 2 who covered the mercy seat of God.his downfall was he wanted to set on the mercy seat..god describes that satan was the most beautiful equipped with everything.God descibeds what satan is doing. And what God says HE is going to do to satan.

25-26 This is now-This is a prophecy for today. God is about to give Israel part of the land back that he gave to Abraham. [ PSALMS 83] is the prophecy that tells all about it...

it is a truth (see the above): 'riches' and 'pride' or a combination of the 2 can not be mastered by any human (see the above). WOW! WOW! WOW!
  • Obbie Beal on Ezekiel 28 - 7 years ago
Tyrus appears almost identical to the beautiful whore (ridding the beast) found in the book of Revelation.. especially after considering the reason God's wrath is applied to each of them. 2018 may 'get-by' for a second (because of God's Mercy) but 2018 will not get-away. Wow! Wow! Wow!

Verse 12 to end of Chapter is an indictment from God to/against the Evil Priest, Melchiresha, and all those involved in the Priests' efforts to overthrow God's kingdom. The ultimate penalty is he shall be put to death as a man.
  • Obbie Beal on Ezekiel 28 - 8 years ago
GOD's warning to all those that cross the line GOD warned us not to cross. Once anyone cross that line we are lifted up with a 'distructive-pride'; This 'pride' caused Tyrus, and ..., and ..., to receive GOD's warth... In 2017 the nations have cross that line, therefore we / the nations shall not excape GOD's warth... Thank GOD for the Blood of Jesus Christ that save, protect, keep. WOW, WOW, WOW!

Verse 17: This verse is a good reminder to not allow beauty or natural abilities and talents to cause us to become proud. That was Satan's downfall and we do not want to imitate him in any way.

25-26 The Lord Jesus Christ will make Himself known to the House of Israel by coming in power and great glory to execute judgment and vengeance upon all her evil neighbors which despise her. The whole Testimony of the Scriptures is Christ the King of Israel and of all the earth: when Jesus makes Himself known to His brethren, then will the Nations also be delivered from the covering of darkness.

I believe he is talking about the Devil (Satin) when he refers to the King of Tyra's. Reference is made to him having been in the Garden of Eden and that he was highly respected in heaven until the Lord found his iniquity (Pride). This may having some reference to the tribulation. I am interested in what other people think. This needs to be read with Isaiah 14.

Jay you need to read. This is speaking of a cherub that's not a man! This Tryus which means rock and in the song of Moses Deut.32 their rock is not our Rock. This cherub was in the garden of Eden, that old serpent. This cherub was at the Holy Mountain of God right at the Throne of God is what it's saying. Wiser than Daniel, come on how much information does a person need to see the truth here.

Yep! Satan is fried from within to out. That's blotted out Ezekiel 28:18,19. He is sentence to death and is the son of perdition death! Only person who is sentence to die. There will be a lot of fallen angels that die at the 7th trump but they just drop dead. Now for the rest of the folks that are on the other side they will be blotted out at the Great White Throne Judgment at the end.

To Charley on Eze.18 - At the bottom of every 'comment' page (or top) there 'commentary' by Matthew Henry. I read it just now and the Lord's spirit let me know what Henry says is - true. M. Henry was 'led' of God; Just like King Cyrus was in rebuilding the Temple.

Ezekiel 28. Is not talking about any devil or satan. It is talking about a king and the city. Lucifer is written only once in the book of isaiah. The word lucifer means morning star, i will not get into deep detail about this false teaching. When jesus said that the devil was a liar from the beginning , now what is the beginning, simple at the first start, from his creation. He was never an ange

history-Satan. Using history explains a truth. Tyrus means rock. Deut. 32 the song of Moses tells us their rock is not our Rock. Satan tried to steal the mercy seat and in doing so he gathered a third of Gods children in his political party Rev. 12 and God got mad wash the earth clean Jer. 4 vs 22 to 27He turned lights on God sows His seed to earth and the wicked one sows his. Matt. 13 vs 36 to 44

The temptation of Jesus shows three major areas of life which the devil will tempt us in: 1 Eating too much. If we are eating all the time then we cannot hear from heaven because it dulls our spiritual senses. 2 Satan is always luring us to kill ourselves to commit suicide particularly, around the holidays when we are lonely. Satan tempts us to commit suicide, but pray for strenght and power over the loneliness because the Lord loves you. Satan tempts us to worship him and the kingdoms of this world because he is jealous over God. Read Isaiah 14: 12-15. Also, Read Ezekiel 28: 14:17. It is Satan's desire to be like God and to be worshipped as God. Remain true to the one God our Savior Jesus Christ whom the Father sent to save you, delivered you and sustain you. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Love.

I AGREE THAT LUCIFER IS IN CONTROL OF THIS EARTH BUT THAT IS ON ONLY FOR A TIME BEING YOU SEE JESUS CHRIST WHEN HE COMETH TO THIS EARTH HE WILL JUDGE LUCIFER, AND HIS ANGEL.THEN JESUS CHRIST WILL DEAL WITH THE PEOPLE NOT OF THIS WORLD HE WILL JUDGE THE PEOPLE NOT OF THIS WORLD BY MAKING SURE THAT THEY DID 4 THINGS ONE FOLLOW THE LIGHT TO THE PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, 2. THAT YOU GET THE POWER WHICH IS THE HOLY SPIRIT OF THE FLESH WHICH THAT WOULD BE THE SPIRIT OF GOD 3.THAT YOU PUT EVERY THING TO DEATH, 4.THAT YOU MINISTER THE TRUTH. THEN JESUS CHRIST WILL JUDGE THE WORLD WITH THE PEOPLE NOT OF THIS WORLD, THEY WILL JUDGE THE SMALLER MATTERS.JESUS CHRIST IS COMING TO SAVE THE WORLD NOT CONDEM THE WORLD. JESUS CHRIST DOES NOT WANT THE BURDEN TO JUDGE THE WORLD BY HIMSELF SO HE IS GOING TO USE THE ELECTED ONE 'S, AND CHOSEN ONE 'S TO JUDGE THE WORLD.JESUS CHRIST WILL ALSO JUDGE THE BIGGER MATTERS OF THE WORLD.THIS IS THE TRUE WORDS OF JESUS CHRIST, AND HIS SERVANT. God will put a stop to it, but Satan is a terror to this world! He is a terrorist-the supreme terrorist on earth-and he rules over all terrorist! How many people understand that? He is really the one behind all the violence and terrorism and evil in our world today!
  • Bob K on Ezekiel 28:12 - 11 years ago
In this verse, Satan and the king are used interchangeably. It means that Satan was really the King of Tyre! God talks about the king of Tyre and Satan the devil almost as one and the same, because Satan rules over Kings!
