I am a 45 year old elementary school teacher of 21 years. I was involved in an car accident April 2020. I was still able to walk & function independently however the pain in my back, legs, and feet begin to intensify. The 1st week of July I began falling suddenly. I tried using a cane, still falling. I tried a walker but struggled with bearing weight. I went to emergency on July 16th and I have been hospitalized ever since. I had bruising, thickened ligaments, compression, and some prior degenerative discs on my thoracic spine. I had a surgery (Laminectomy) on July 23rd to remove a wall off 5 of the vertebrae that were piercing my spinal cord. The day of the surgery I was able to move my legs & feet and control my bowels and bladder. Since the surgery I can't do any of those things. I am in a wheelchair paralyzed from the breast line all the way to my feet. I am in a lot of pain everyday. My house has been unoccupied since March 2020 but I still pay all the bills. I have lost my ability to walk, my job, my health care insurance, my freedom. My auto insurance carrier had my case under review for a month then decided my injuries had nothing to do with the accident, so they are not paying for any of the medical bills that have been accumulating since the surgery. I am in desperate need of a prayer and a miracle. I want to walk again!

If you're truly sorry, God has already forgiven you. But it's also important to forgive yourself. If you were already saved years ago there's no need to be saved a second time; that's what Jesus died on the cross for.

I have seen first hand that a Methadone clinic or some Doctors treat people with methadone and they are leading a normal happy life! Of course God comes first but I have seen the methadone work and I believe in it! Good luck I know it is a awful thing to go through, it takes over your life and you cannot think about anything else. I will pray for you also!

    At Leviticus 22 v 32 - what is God's name?

Lord - is a title very much like Mr and Master and Dr and Sir. These are Titles. Why is that the following Bible's have God's name in the verse and other Bible's omit The Almighty's name.

This in itself is absolutely wrong!

Omitting the Almighty God's name and replacing it with a Title is wrong in every single sense.

I happen to be on this page as i was browsing through i came across your comment. if you have a bible like to Encourage you to read matthew 6:33 seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and the book of proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light and the reproofs of instruction are the way of life. i just wanted to encourage you that whatever you need help God will help you i know you maybe saying this is not nearly close to answering your [question] i know but if you search the scriptures you will everything you need to know. I added these books, and scriptures to help you know God's Commandments. when you wanted know if you commit murder (suicide) the same i pointed out what the book of Exodus God's Commandment says. Exodus 20:13 say Thou shalt not kill it says the same in the book of Deuteronomy 5:17 Thou shalt not kill so whether you kill yourself, or someone. The Ten Commandments clearly points what we should not do. you find read Exodus 20:1-17 God's Ten commandments are in the book of Deuteronomy 5:7-21 to share that with you. my prayer's are with you and love your ones. ask God in prayer to lead you and guide you to all understanding whatever it is that you are going through he will. comfort your heart matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted God blessed. Biblically there is no day named that we are to keep holy. The day is simply called the Sabbath/Shabot. They were told specifically to "remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy" Since Christ is our Sabbath or Rest then we are to 'rest' in Him and cease from our own labor and work for the Kingdom of God.

I want to know where in the bible tells me that Saturday is the true day God rested from all his work and keep it holly.

Hello Rodney. I see that this matter is much on your heart & with anything that requires serious consideration, I find that if we have the basic understanding of it, then we can confidently proceed from there. But if we have disagreement at that 'basic' level, then whatever proceeds from there, will amplify our objections & take us to further divergent thoughts & conclusions. So, with the Sabbath Day, it's only proper to understand what is given to us in the Word & what God requires of us by His Command. Therefore, I will state what I believe on that subject & you can take issue with me in point form, so that the matter might be properly addressed. And by the way, I'm here on this Site just as you & others are, to share, discuss & learn more from God's Word. May the Lord help us & give us His Wisdom.

    a. Genesis 2:2,3. On the seventh day, God rested from His Work & blessed that day & sanctified it. Was God exhausted & worn out from that demanding work of creation? The use of the word, Shabath, indicates that it was simply a cessation of work. And in the Genesis account, I'm not trying to decipher whether the days of creation were literal 24 hour days, or days denoting extended periods of time. The point was that for six 'creation' days God involved Himself in work & on the seventh He desisted from such work which doesn't imply any physical weariness.

    b. Exodus 20:8-11. The first direct instruction given to the children of Israel concerning this day of rest, Shabath. The keeping of this day holy (set apart) as with the rite of circumcision, marked out this people as belonging to the Lord, that which no other nation was given or observed. All humans & animals in the company of God's people had to desist from any form of work or else punishment by death followed ( Exodus 31:12-17). This command (or, any other commands) & any requirement to observe them, were not given to any other people except to Israel.
  • Christians Becoming Fully Equipped-1 on Exodus 20 - 5 years ago
Growing up is a process. No one is born fully grown. Everyone comes into the world as an infant and progresses through different developmental stages until he reaches adulthood. The same is true when you become born again. It doesn't matter how old you are physically. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are a spiritual babe in Christ, and you must learn to grow in the things of God.

In the Book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul talks about the spiritual growth of Christians.

    EPHESIANS 4:11-15

    11 And he[Jesus]gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

    14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.

Did you notice in verse 15, Paul tells the Christians in Ephesus to ". . grow up into him in all things . . ."? Evidently, Paul didn't think that the Church at Ephesus had grown up yet. He also said in verse 13, "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, UNTO A PERFECT MAN . . . ."

In The Amplified Bible, this phrase is translated, "that we might arrive at really mature manhood." In these verses, Paul is encouraging us to reach spiritual maturity. He is encouraging us to grow up spiritually.

Throughout the New Testament, we see a striking similarity between spiritual and physical development. In fact, there are three stages of spiritual development that correspond to physical development. They are: babyhood, childhood, and manhood.

You can still honor and respect your mom from a distance for the limited involvement they had and not need to be involved in her life or physically around her. That is my opinion.
  • Grace - In Reply on Exodus 20 - 5 years ago
Thank you for your reply. Do I have to honor my biological mom who did not raise me? I want to do my best to keep the commandments but this situation is confusing that I am in.
  • The Spirit of Adoption - In Reply on Exodus 20 - 5 years ago
You have sometimes thought God walked off and forgot about you; but He doesn't do that. Within you He was growing the spirit of adoption.

Everything you've endured was to bring you to this day. How do I know that? I was brought that way too. I was the little gray duck in a family of swans.

Some day, even now, you'll be able to embrace the great work that God has been doing within your heart. Only you know the hollow feeling of not really belonging anywhere.

In the perfect time, God sent forth the Spirit of Adoption, into your life. His name is Jesus. He is your ABBA. Your Daddy.

Daddy means as close to his heart as you desire of him. Now write these 2 verses on the inside cover of your Bible.

Psalms 27:10 - When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

    Psalms 68:6

God setteth the Solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

You're not a mistake. There is a plan in place for you. Let go of the past, and embrace your adoption and the future. Ask Him now to complete the work in your heart. Get still and listen for the Holy Spirits voice. One of peace; not fear and confusion.

I'm not speaking out of my flesh here. You are to have this Word now.

    Mishael

    Dear Grace,

I'm sorry to hear you were so badly mistreated. You deserved better and deserved to be loved.

I believe the Bible has provisions for getting out of toxic, abusive relationships, both with spouses and with family and friends. I have distanced myself from family at different times to reduce negativity. Even though I still love family members it doesn't mean I have to be around them. Some I do not go around because nothing positive comes from it.

This isn't an exact match to your situation, but at the end of 1 Corinthians 5:11 it says to not eat with (I interpret as associate with) people who claim to be believers but who are living in sin (with examples listed). It doesn't say ignore non-believers, but believers who are engaged in these sins. To me I think this supports leaving a toxic environment. Part of loving ourselves and taking care of ourselves I think will be making decisions to distance from certain temptations, certain people, certain negative situations. Hope this is helpful.

    God bless...

I have a question about honoring your mother and father. I was put up for adoption as a baby. In my thirties I met my biological mom but did not have a connection with her. Do I have to have a relationship with her? Also my adoptive mom abused me physically, mentally, verbally. Am I obligated to her as well?

You receive not, because you ask not.

    Matthew 7:7-8

7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Keep asking him He will answer according to His will. His promises is yes and amen.

    1 Thessalonian 5:17

    17Pray without ceasing.

Never stop praying until you get what you want.
