    Revelation: The "revealing" of Christ

In considering the end times; where we certainly are headed quickly as I see it-we see that proclamations are made beforehand as to the general state of the "last days" such as attitudes of people in 2 Timothy 3 as well as with the 144,000 and the 2 prophets in Revelation. We also see angels themselves as we get to the time the bowl judgments are about to occur as a final warning.

In reality; of course for an unregenerate person it only seals their fate and increases their judgment once their impenitent hearts are challenged. The lack of love of the truth ( 2 Thessalonians 2:10) allows the world to accept the Daniel 9:27 covenant also known as the covenant with death and hell in Isaiah 28:18 which is deliberately agreed upon despite the obvious ramifications.

People as they do now will hear what they want to hear and disregard the rest. As with the Prophets of old God says He will do nothing without first revealing the matter to the prophets ( Amos 3:7); and we see this process most clearly it seems with Jeremiah but also of course with the warnings in Deuteronomy as to blessings and cursings. Deuteronomy 30:19 says to choose life and live but of course Jeremiah 17:9 shows the human heart is desperately wicked and who can understand it?

Again a repeated concept here that I have mentioned is that the world is aware of what's coming. It is the same sort of idea when Christ came the first time with the Pharisees denying the obvious and committing the unpardonable blasphemy against the Spirit saying that it is evil; and likely the same sort of thing will be heard by the son of perdition and the world at large once judgments start to fall as we see several times during the bowl judgments ( 2 Thessalonians 2:3). He will say "unheard of" things against the Most High ( Daniel 11:36) and will come in his own name yet declare himself to be god (see John 5:43).

We need to be ready to desire seeing the Day of the Lord ( Amos 5:18

Isaiah 42:14 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

Continuing on the theme of God's withdrawing Himself to some extent during the Tribulation in particular is reminiscent of the horrors of the Babylonian captivity in Lamentations. Actually in Job it states Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. ( Job 13:15); and Lamentations states in chapter 3; verses 17-23

And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.

18And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:

19Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

20My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.

21This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

22It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

There are further statements after these verses indicsting patiently waiting for the Lord. We know as believers we will never suffer separation from God as Jesus did in taking on the sins of others so He is always there whether or not our physical bodies perish.

What no doubt also made Jeremiah a prototype of the situation today is that as scriptures state nothing is done without the Prophets ( Amos 3:7); and there was extensive attempts to reach His people about the coming Babylonian invasion that came due to their own sins that had come up in God's face. They couldn't accept their culpability and guilt so they also couldn't heed the warning. Foolishly they thought it wouldn't occur; then tried deception and rebellion rather than surrendering as God warned them to do. Much can be learned today of these issues; but my point here is that God has a purpose; even a rest for the land itself in allowing the captivity; and of course that is true for AD 70 and the Tribulation.

    Extrabiblical declarations (part 2).

What we can say with some assurance is that certain verses of scripture are being fulfilled; the biggest general one being an increase in knowledge and travel ( Daniel 12:4). In fact; the idea of the Gospel being preached to the whole world along with some other statements in Revelation seem to show an worldwide network of video which we have today.

To warn of anything clearly prophetic in scripture for now and the future is being obedient to sounding the trumpet as Ezekiel warns we must do (See Ezekiel 33). God does nothing without warning the prophets ( Amos 3:7). This is certainly true during the time of Jacob's trouble with the 2 witnesses and 144,000 Jews proclaiming the Kingdom to come but certainly there is a need to preach repentance today as many of the promises and warnings to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3 have direct application today; especially the Revelation 3:10 praise to the Philadelphia church; and likely Revelation 2:22-25 to Thyratira where it appears many could be left behind who are caught up with seducing spirits or literal immorality with seductive women.

Revelation 18:5 talks about Mystery Babylon and her sins piling up into heaven and whether our nation is Babylon or it is centered in Israel itself or the new city planned for Abu Dhabi we can certainly say with the statement in Daniel that in general leaders have become completely wicked ( Daniel 8:23) is the season for Antichrist to appear. No doubt also our sins in America align with many statements about a mingled people that used to know God and have prostituted themselves; in our case with sex traffic and pornography that we have either directly supported or turned a blind eye to; to the countless millions of lives terminated in the womb; to the shocking number of crimes in this country; etc.

I will say this as a positive note for those who are out there giving the alarm that it is a necessary practice; the church is mostly asleep.

The end times: Why should we care (part 2).

Everyone in the Body of Christ has their giftings and calling; but the time comes when the handwriting is on the wall; so to speak.

When mass delusion clearly is setting in and many are falling away and someone comes on the world scene declaring that they are indeed the one to bring about a peace treaty with Israel and other nations it is therefore the Lord Himself who will determine if any individual will succeed in that endeavor or be stopped at some point. We know that the Restrainer is going hold back certain things before the Rapture; but also that the man of sin will be revealed before the Lord comes back and it appears in the context in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 that this may precede the actual Tribulation. Daniel 11:23 states And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people. This verse would seem to indicate with other versions stating an alliance (New Living) or agreement (NIV) that indeed that comes immediately after the Daniel 9:27 covenant. This coming of the Antichrist Beast and False Prophet; of course align with the general false religious system of "Mystery Babylon" covered in detail in Revelation 17-18 as well as much of Jeremiah in particular in the O.T.

Since nothing the Lord does comes without warning from the Prophets ( Amos 3:7) as far as end times are concerned there is certainly a role in that type of "prophetic" ministry today. What we don't have the liberty to do is predict exact days of the Rapture; or events leading up to it. We should keep in mind that the Rapture may occur BEFORE that date whether weeks; months or longer that the Daniel 9:27 covenant is enacted. There is a strong scriptural precedent for the Feast of Trumpets being the time of the "last trump" signaling the Rapture ( 1 Cor. 15:52) but of course supernaturally a trumpet in heaven could sound anytime; not necessarily on a Jewish High Day.

    Q&A "Vision of Dry bones"

Q:"God asking Prophet,Can these bones live?' It seems that he sets the question in terms of the creation of Eve. So what is missing here?"

    A:

God intended the whole house of Israel with the vision. (Ez.37:11) In the creation Eve is designated as the Mother of all living. When Adam claims her "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh." We have them "after our image and after our likeness." This association is no where seen in the vision. It is an open valley. The Spirit with the question throws back the ball at him as the watchman for the nation? Where is Christ whose house are we? What shall be our answer?

Can two walk together unless agreed upon. Amos 3:3.

The house chose her course."But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me."(Ps.81:11)

The winds of the teachings of man blow hard against the truth of God's word.

    Don't falter in proclaiming truth.

Man has no freewill, only God's will prevails in his creation.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing without revealing his secrets to his servants the prophets.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God that worketh IN YOU both TO WILL and TO DO HIS good pleasure.

We DIED on the cross with Christ, ONLY Christ arose and we as JOINT HEIRS.

Isaiah 59:21 And this is my covenant with THEM, saith the Lord; My Spirit that is upon THEE (Christ), and my words that I (the Father) put in thy (Christ's) mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from hence forth and for ever.

Amos 2:7 Can two (as one flesh) walk together, except they BE AGREED?

    Prophecy: Conditional and nonconditional

I may have discussed this topic in a previous post. Whether or not we consider "free will" to be a factor or not as to our immediate future; there is no doubt that things will end up with the Tribulation; the Millennium rule and final judgment followed by the eternal state. It is clear scripturally that almost all prophecy is conditional in some way; the fact that God does nothing without warning by one or more Prophets ( Amos 3:7). A prime example of this is with Israel and Judah who more often than not missed the mark whether it was the kings; prophets; priests or everyone else in society. Psalms is rife with examples of God's chastisement of the righteous ( Psalm 107 is one good example of this). We even see it with the other nations such as the Amorites and later in the book of Jonah the Ninevites who were given a lengthy respite of several generations before judgment finally came down as mentioned in the book of Nahum.

The statements in the New Testament such as the prophecy of Agabus shown in Acts 11 and 21 showed famine to come and later Paul's imprisonment. In the first case it has been brought to my attention that perhaps that famine either didn't occur or perhaps less severe because of preparations or repentance. That was what my former Pastor stated; not sure if anyone knows the history better than I do. As to the second circumstance; Paul was constrained to be obedient and bold. There wasn't a mandate it seemed for him going to Jerusalem although it seemed he was aware of it being part of God's plan. Perhaps the implication was martyrdom; after all Paul was no stranger to prison.

I tend to look at the "reap what you sow" context works as a sort of guarantee; like prophecy you can be certain that sin will bring forth punishment and trouble even in this life as the end of Proverbs 13:15 indicates. For God's children in rebellion it is only He who can bring real change but the wicked are lost.

    Jema Great response!

Amos 3:1-2 Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

YOU ONLY HAVE I KNOWN OF ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

Do you notice, the rest of the world wasn't sent into captivity and the duration was determined because of their neglect to rest their land. There was a Sabbath put on the land also. 2 Chronicles 36:20-21.

There is a lot on those 2 verses.

    God bless.

    Brother Thedorse:

When John came preaching the Kingdom of God, as the forerunner of Christ, all that was available to understand the Kingdom of God was Moses and the Prophets.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth HIS SECRETS to his servants the Prophets.

Moses and the Prophets is the REVEALING of the Kingdom of God, a kingdom here on earth.

Nowhere in Moses and the Prophets does it say the reward of the righteous is Heaven, nor nowhere does it say the reward of the wicked is HELL.

What it does say is the wicked shall be JUDGED by the righteous.

The wages of sin is DEATH.

Christ came and he and all creation was crucified for the sins of the world.

Christ died for us in the sense we did not have to suffer the wrath of God poured out on him.

But we died just as he die.

Only Christ arose and we as joint heirs with Christ, SAVED from ever dying again.

But there are two kinds of people in this world, believers and unbelievers, symbolised by the two malefactors crucified with Christ, one believed, one did not believe, one went to the presence of God, the other went to the grave to await the second resurrection.

The Believers WERE SAVED at the first resurrection: believing they were resurrected as ONE FLESH with Christ.

The unbelievers will DIE and go to the GRAVE, and await the second resurrection, and will be judged and ruled over by the BELIEVERS of God's word.

The reference in Moses and the Prophets is they will be the wood choppers and water haulers, and they will bow the knee.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I WILL MAKE THEM of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews (circumcised in the heart) and are not, but do lie, behold, I WILL MAKE THEM come and worship before thy feet, and TO KNOW that I have love thee

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of CREATION WAITETH (in the grave) for the MANIFESTATION of the Sons of God,

Romans 8:21 For creation itself ALSO SHALL BE DELIVERED from the bongage of corruption ......

-God Created us to have fellowship with Him. This is found in

Genesiss 3:8-And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

God expected to find them, but they were hiding - meaning this followship happened regularly but not anymore for sins has separated friends. Amos 3:3

-Due to the sins committed in Genessi 3:6

6, And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat

-Man died spiritually and at the end he also died physical form the world remembers the wages of sins is death and That followership which we once had with God in the beginning was repaired at the cross by Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God. in John 3:16

    Its written in John 14:17

17,even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Now you see, from here unless you repent of your sins at the cross and accept Jesus Christ in your heart then Jesus Christ who is the way the truth and life will connect you to the father. the best term here is if you abide in Him.HE will abide in you the man.

as it is written in JOHN 14:23

23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

as we have seen if we love Jesus Christ then we will obey and keep his words and in keeping them the father will love us The trinity will come and followship with us.

Now note this alot of people are still searching for purpose in life but those who have given their lives to Jesus Christ the son of the living God have a purpose in life which is to followship with GOD.

REVELATION 22:19 And if any man shall TAKE AWAY from the words of the prophecy of THIS BOOK, God shall take away his part out of the words of this BOOK, and out of the Holy city, and from the thinks WRITTEN in THIS BOOK.

THE BOOK is Christ; all the BOOKS, are the written WORD about the LIVING WORD, Christ is the spirit of Prophecy.

Amos 3:3 Can TWO walk together (and become ONE), except they( the two) be AGREED.

The TWO is the BOOK (the word, which is God) and MAN (YOU).

If you don't AGREE and BELIEVE the BOOK (take away or add) you want have a part in the BOOK.

Psalms 7:13 He (God) hath prepared for him the INSTRUMENT OF DEATH ...

Romans 6:23 The wages of SIN (not believing ALL THE BOOK) is DEATH ....

John 16:8 And when HE (the word, the BOOK, the spirit of prophecy, the HOLY GHOST) is COME, he will REPROVE THE WORLD OF SIN:

John 16:9 OF SIN, because the BELIEVE NOT ON ME (the Book, the Word, ALL of the Books and all the WORD).

The LIVING WORD; CHRIST, has revealed himself in the WRITTEN word.

1 Timothy 4:19 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the LIVING GOD (the BOOK), who is the saviour of ALL MEN, especially those that believe.

Have you added to, or taken away from these words in THE BOOK (CHRIST), then according to Revelation 22:19 God has taken your part out of the words of THE BOOK (CHRIST).

    FEW find THE WAY

Ezekiel 5:3 Thou (Christ) shall take a FEW in number, and bind them in thy skirt (clothing of priest the ephod).

Ezekiel 5:4 Take of them (the FEW) again, and CAST THEM into the MIDST of the FIRE, and burn them in the fire, for thereof (those FEW) shall a FIRE COME FORTH into all the house of Israel.

Obadiah 1:21 And SAVIOURS (ONE with THE BOOK) shall come upon Mount Zion to JUDGE the mount of Esau, and the kingdom shall be the LORDS.

Isaiah 26:9 ...for when THY (the BOOK) JUDGEMENTS are in the earth, the inhabitants of THE WORLD will learn righteousness (Christ, the BOOK is our RIGHTEOUSNESS).

    The city

    The streets

Revelation has to be taken in the context of this symbols.

    BROTHERS AND SISTERS:

Coming to TRUTH of Christ's prophecies requires you put ALL teaching of Christ TOGETHER.

Amos 3:8 Surly the Lord God will do NOTHING, but he revealeth his secrets to his servants the prophets.

ALL MANKIND (sinful flesh) died on the cross of Christ, you can't understand Christ's prophecies until you add that FACT into the MIX.

Ezekiel 24:18 So I (CHRIST) spake to the people in the morning: and at even MY WIFE DIED (his bride, his church); and I did in the morning as I was commanded.

Isaiah 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, TOGETHER with my dead body shall they arise.

All flesh DIED, all rose a NEW CREATION.

    Jesus IS THE RESURRECTION.

Jeremiah 16:4 They shall DIE of grievous deaths, they shall not be lamented, neither shall they be buried, but they shall be a dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword (the WORD), and by famine; and their carcasses shall be meat for the fowls of heaven (the eagles), and for the beast of the earth.

Jeremiah 16:6 Both the great and the small shall die in the land: they shall not be buried .....

Before you were ever born you DIED, you were not buried until you are buried by baptism of the Holy Spirit into that death.

Even the OLD saints, already dead, had to share in Christ DEATH and RESURRECTION.

May God GIVE US eyes to SEE.

    Part 2 of earlier posting.

This form of self-transformation is also referred to as self-righteousness ( Romans 10-3), while in truth you follow after a image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; Rev. 12:9). This is how Satan has transformed himself into an angel of light ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15) and deceived the whole world ( Rev. 12:9), as people by nature are in fact children of the devil ( Acts 13:10).

Gal. 1:11,12. The gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1).

The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and the scriptural references we use serve as confirmation that it is not us that speak, but the Spirit of our Father that speaketh in us ( 2 Samuel 23:2; Matthew 10:20; Acts 4:8; 6:10).

Narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).

Seek, and ye shall find ( Matthew 7:7).

Psalm 35; once again describes the state of David in distress; trusting God to defend him as well as encouraging those who support his righteous cause (v. 27). Once again; the interplay of the prophetic is so intertwined with David's own experiences and that of the Messiah that it is hard to find examples where one or another can definitively be extricated from the dialogue.

We find examples such as verse 11 discussing false witnesses; and verses 16 through 18 about "hypocritical mockers" and particularly verse 17 about rescuing the "darling" from the lions is definitely directed toward Christ at the crucifixion as seen in Psalm 22:20.

The "Aha, aha" theme is seen in Psalm 40 and 70; and also Ezekiel 36:2 in regard to the capture of the ancient heights from the north in the last days (likely the Golan Heights area).

Whether with an individual or the nation of Israel; God will bring victory for the remnant who are truly faithful according to His many promises. Going back to earlier in the Psalm in verses 5 to 6 we see how the angel of the Lord persecutes the wicked leading them to destruction. We see in 1 Chronicles 21 how an angel was sent to cause wholesale destruction. We do well to heed to the fact that God is in charge of all things; and in a sense creates good and evil for His purposes. Isaiah 45:7 and Amos 3:6 discuss these things; calamity is under God's liimitations. Let us be under chastisement not judgment; and let us fall on the Rock rather than being crushed by it! ( Matt. 21:44).

It's the day of the Lord, one day is as a thousand years, so far it has been 2000 years, and those that have departed during that time have been reigning with Christ, study the parable of the workers in the vineyard ( Matthew 20:1-16).

Revelation 11:7 And when they (the two witnesses, the law and prophets, foretelling of Christ) shall have finished their testimony) the beast (the forth kingdom on earth, the kingdom of God, Luke 16:16) that asscened out of the bottomless pit shall make war with them and shall overcome them and, kill them (they prophesied of Christ's death on the cross).

Revelation is the revealing of Jesus Christ, there is not a seven year tribulation, God's children are caught up to him one at a time.

Revelation is all symbolic of the fulfillment of the kingdom of God.

All the answers are in Mosses and the prophets.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

I was raised in a Baptist church, they are as deceived as are all the other churches.

You learn God's word by going into the wilderness ( Mark 1:12)

    God Bless You!

But the Bible speaks of things to be revealed beyond what's written,

...for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. ( Revelation 19:7)

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. ( John 16:13)

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. ( 1 Corinthians 2:10)

Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, ( 1 Cor. 14:39)

And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: ( Acts 2:18)

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: ( Acts 2:17)

Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. ( Amos 3:7)

    Sister Theresa:

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto man once to DIE; but after this the judgement.

This death happens by THE COMING OF THE LORD, HIM in YOU, his body.

This SECOND COMING cannot be seen: it comes like a thief in the night.

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was ONCE OFFERED (first coming of Christ) to bear the sins of many; and to them who LOOK for him shall he appear a SECOND TIME (second coming CHRIST as the HOLY GHOST) without sin, UNTO SALVATION.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming FIRE.

Revelation 9:18 By these was the THIRD PART of man KILLED (first death, not literal), by the FIRE, and the SMOKE, and the BRIMSTONE, which ISSUED OUT OF THEIR MOUTH.

All of us, THE DECEIVED, are KILLED, destroyed, by GOD'S WORD.

All that is LEFT is TRUTH and LIFE.

    John 14:6 ....I AM TRUTH .....I AM LIFE ....

Ezekiel 5:2 Thou shall BURN WITH FIRE a THIRD PART .....

Zechariah 13:9 And I will bring the THIRD PART through the FIRE ...

Zechariah 13:8 And it SHALL COME TO PASS, that in all the land, TWO PARTS shall be cut off and DIE (literal, go to the grave); but the THIRD PART shall BE LEFT (never see death) therein.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we (that died the first death, that came to the truth of Christ's resurrection) SHALL REMAIN (having become ONE WITH TRUTH: CHRIST) and be CAUGHT UP together with THEM (the Old Testament Saints, resurrected with Christ) in the clouds (symbolic of God's Temple, the cloud was always over the tabernacle of the Old Covenant), to meet the Lord on the air, so shall we ever be (in the presence) with the Lord (the IMAGE OF CHRIST).

Zechariah 12:7 And the Lord shall save the tents of Judah FIRST (the Old Testament Saints; resurrected with Christ), that the GLORY of the HOUSE OF DAVID (those born again of TRUTH) and the glory of the house of Jerusalem (same people) do not magnify themselves against the house of Judah.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will DO NOTHING, but he revealeth his SECRET to his servants the Prophets.

    Giannis:

It takes all the books of the PROPHETS to understand the PARABLE ( Matthew 13:34) of the rich man and Lazarus.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will DO NOTHING, but he REVEALETH his secret unto his servants the PROPHETS.

Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, if they HEAR NOT Mosses and the PROPHETS, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

No where in Moses and the prophets does it prophesy that anyone goes to heaven or hell. It prophesies that there will be a Kingdom of God.

The books of the prophets, prophesies, that the elect will BE BROUGHT through the fire; not avoid it.

It prophesies that only a third will be brought through the fire in this age; the others will go to the grave and wait for the resurrection to the next age.

Revelation is a second witness to the prophecies.

Zechariah 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two thirds shall be cut off and die, and a THIRD shall be left therein ( Luke 17:34-35).

Zechariah 13:9 And I will bring the THIRD PART through the FIRE ..

Ezekiel 5:2 Thou shall burn with fire a THIRD part ..

Ezekiel 5:3 ..take THEREOF a few in number ..

Ezekiel 5:4 ...take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire, for THEREOF shall a fire COME FORTH into all the house of Israel.

Obadiah 1:18 And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a FLAME ....

Luke 16:24 ....for I am tormented in this FLAME.

Psalms 149:9 To execute upon them the judgement written, this HONOUR hath all his Saints.

Obadiah 1:21 And Saviours (those that have obtained the next age, the IMAGE OF CHRIST) shall come on mount Zion to JUDGE the mount of Esau, and the Kingdom shall be the LORD'S.

Zechariah 12:8 And in that day ( Revelation 20:9) shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David, and the house of David shall be as (the image of) GOD, and the angel of the LORD before them.

Believers should not be unequally yoked to unbelievers. A new testament teaching. Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

    Prophecy today: Concluding thoughts

suppose someone today went into a mega church and stated that unless damnable heresies stopped; leadership and congregants alike would come to an early demise. One could argue from the example of Ananias and Sapphira that this would be an exhortation of love to the believing remnant to resist such falsehood or get out before it is too late. This is just a hypothetical example; but if we don't understand the principle involved in God's prophetic utterances then it seems like a disjointed message that often can result in a "self fulfilling prophecy" if Satan is in the background pulling the strings. Something as simple as the warning to the Laudician church should be enough of an appeal to wake people up from their slumber. If we love God then we fear Him and keep His commandments. We understand that all things have consequences; whether promotion or demotion; God gives and takes away ( Job 1:21). Judgments prophesied come because of repeated disobedience with clear warnings for a long time. As the Word says nothing comes to pass without a warning from the Prophets ( Amos 3:7). With so MANY voices; including false prophets; we need to heed to the Word any messages that either contradict scripture or have an evil spirit behind them. Without discernment many churches are totally lost; because almost no one wants to hear or can HANDLE the truth.

With the unpleasant messages true prophets usually bring; they likely wouldn't want it broadcast (especially if a rebuke of a church is part of the message). This is much the same with other miracles; someone truly delivered from a demon should only be on video if there is sufficient backup or witnesses to the validity of their testimony; and there can be evidence they are truly delivered from the fruits in their lives. Discipleship in general seems to be unpopular today with such sideshows. A true statement is a warning to the lost of their sure fate without repentance.

    1Kings 18, Obadiah 1,

Possibly, thanks for pointing that out.

I did a small study in researching:

Obadiah is referred to as governor of Ahab's house, but Obadiah 1:1, doesn't call him a Prophet. Same with 1Kings 18:3-15, doesn't show Obadiah with Spiritual discernment or faith GOD would direct him. But Amos 1:1, Amos 3:7,8, Amos 7:14-15, shows us GOD can choose anyone to be a Prophet.

Interestingly: Amos 1:11, & Obadiah 1, also speak very similarly

    Hopefully these are helpful
