please help me reconcile this contradicition??? i love the KJV, here it is:
According to 2 Kings 8:26, Ahaziah was 22 years old when he began to reign, and reigned for one year in Jerusalem.
2 Chronicles 22:2 gives his age as 42 years when his reign began in Jerusalem.
which is it?
Don't worry Buddy, God gave us a wonderful book to help navigate the storm. Be that disciple for truth, this phase to will pass like a kidney stone. Make the best of it.
We are hit every day with obstacles, and deception can cause us to be taken out of the way, led astray, and roam from the safety of the truth. The cunningness of deception disguises itself so well we may not even know if we are wrong, unless we ask to be shown the truth.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
If we are deceived, we have accepted something that is false for the truth, just like the serpent did with Eve. Deception can take on many faces, and one of the most deceptive, is the one we see in the mirror.
Our action supports the proof of Christ, who is the truth in us. Our conscience is what we must guard and protect, a doubting man is damned. From God's word, we find we must daily put on the whole armor of God.
Our conscience records every thought, every intention, everything we have ever said or done and every second of our life is open to God, our conscience will be our testimony, and only with the garment given by Christ, our shame can be covered.
Acts 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
Let's not walk naked.

Scripture: Hebrews 7:2
From: Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit Volume 30
I agree with what you say, and what a relief I don't have to release my vengeance on you. Oh ho ho, no, just kidding. Sometimes my sense of humor is fit to be tied.
Pink Floyd, The Who, Stones, CCR are some of the music my neighbors like to hear. Ever head a song by The Call, called "The Walls Came Down" about Jericho, on YouTube? It's special. I have been sending you Warren references all along the way. Tootles.
Jeremiah 17:24And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
Jeremiah 17:22 Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.
Exodus 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
It's nothing to GOD if you have perfect attendance or not because there's really nothing we can give HIM that HE doesn't have. But at Church we're still instructed to never be absent (we have 3 days of Church services; some have perfect attendance since they were saved, some come and go). So now we go to Church for our own good to receive blessings from HIM: material, physical, and Spiriutal blessings.
We just have to be thankful to GOD that there's this one place for us where we can go to serve The LORD GOD by:
1) singing praising songs to HIM
2) praying to HIM
3) hearing HIS messages through preaching
4) testifying for HIM
5) joining others in setting up The Church and serving HIS followers
If you get that feeling of not going to Church, whether it's a building or a humble place, then maybe it's time to search yourself first. Pray, fast, sing praising songs to GOD, ask for forgiveness for your shortcomings, and cry for mercy, love, and forgiveness, ask for His sweet Holy Presence. And let HIM lead you wherever HE wants you to be. HALLELUJAH! PRAISE THE LORD!
At Church, we're encouraged not to have vaccines because we believe that JESUS CHRIST gives good health, protection, and healing. However, our Church leaders have no control over the members and so some have to do it because of work requirements or of other reasons.
We can't do so much on our own about the works of the enemy of GOD because that sneaky evil satan grabs even the slightest chance he can get to steal your blessings from GOD, destroy your beautiful Chrisitan life, and kill your soul in hell after he works out on your faith and obedience to GOD. Really tricky.
At Church, we're highly encouraged to do the ff:
1) fast
2) pray
3) sing praising songs to GOD
4) repent from our sins and don't look back
5) testify for the love of GOD in our lives
6) live in Holiness always and give tithes and love offering
7) repeat
Dearest JESUS CHRIST is faithful. HE will keep HIS angels charge over us. HE will never leave us nor forsake us. We will see HIM soon face to face. Let's rejoice for The LORD our GOD is Good! HALLELUJAH! PRAISE THE LORD!
Let's get super excited waiting for HIS coming. I don't believe HE will allow any of HIS children to get lost and drink some stinky blood from the chasm. The GOD who called us is bigger than all our worries. There's so much more to do. Let's serve GOD and preach The Gospel.
Let's not put the cart in front of the horse. You've heard of addiction, mental disease and other vises that takes a soul down to rock bottom. It's real. It's a struggle everyday, but it can be beat. It takes a focused person to keep up, may God provide that focus. Take care Dave.
I didn't believe you, but Google has confirmed it. The History Chanel did a story on Hitler escaping from Berlin via sub to Argentina/Brazil.
Hitler was financed on both sides of the Atlantic, him mission was to subdue Russia. I bet the Bavarians helped him escape to safety.
There's a photo from the late 60's that shows an aging Hitler with his black girlfriend.
I am a history major because this stuff thrills me. What passes for history books is carefully fabricated curriculum.
Peace in the middle east.
One may die fighting for what he feels is right in terms of various issues around. As an example, my sister hates pedophiles and actively follows the story of criminals she wishes dead. She relates so much with the poor victims because she was unfortunately molested by our drug addict uncle when she was young without my parents' knowledge. But Solomon enjoyed all the material, physical, Spiritual blessings of GOD and even saw GOD twice but still, he failed in faith and obedience to GOD and all his efforts before in spending his resources to give glory to GOD were wasted.
But what do we do now? We live and die in The Name of Dearest JESUS CHRIST. We fight 'til the end in proclaiming that there is Power in The Name of JESUS - The Only Name that will save us from heartbreaking problems, incurable diseases, poverty, homosexuality, vices, etc, and from hell. Having all the wisdom and riches can't benefit us in the end because we will all die when it's our time like what happened to poor Solomon. But not having any wisdom and riches is indeed not pretty too, for us dead or alive.
Let's focus on GOD every time. If you get to have extra time to join a good cause that supports your views, feel free to do so but let not your heart be troubled. GOD is in control. Also bear in mind that it's part of our journey to be tried and so we might experience hopeless case scenarios every now and then but GOD is a Good GOD. In The Name of JESUS, GOD gives us our needed strength when we feel like trapped, confused, or deceived.
I believe that GOD just allows some crazy stuff to happen so that we will humble ourselves and trust in GOD even when we don't see HIM.
Let's preach The Gospel in the midst of chaos.
Paul in Philippians 1:12-30 gives his philosophy in dealing with fellowship. The first thing Paul wanted them to know was that he being in prison in Rome, that he was a prisoner of Jesus Christ. Paul was put there for the furtherance of the gospel, not because he did anything wrong. Paul was put under house arrest for two years which meant that a soldier had to be chained to his arm 24 hours a day in 6 hour shifts for two years. Paul wasn't going to complain. He's going to say, "Hi buddy, oh you don't want to hear the gospel? Guess what? We're chained! I mean, who's the prisoner here? The soldier was his prisoner!
Philippians 1:14 is to look at Paul's difficult circumstances. It was an encouragement for them to see Paul in chains, in such a difficult circumstance, and to see him still preaching the gospel under such hardship. So Paul's philosophy was that prison does not cut off fellowship nor God's work. What is interesting is that the people in Philippi, seven hundred miles away are supporting him and praying for him, and even sending their pastor.
In verse 15, he says some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife. Hard to believe, huh? To preach Christ in such a way so as to divide people from other people? We see the same contrast in verse 16. Their motives are not pure when they are preaching the gospel. Paul says "Supposing to add affliction to my bonds."
False teachers would actually go to places where Paul preached, and they would say "Did you hear where Paul's at?" And the people would say no, what's going on? Well, he's in prison in Rome. What happened? And then they would say "I told you to stay away from that guy. He's a jailbird. He's always involved in fights and riots and they arrest him all over the place. I told you not to listen to him."
And then they bring in their false doctrine. So Paul says, "Some people (false teachers) even preach Christ in a way so as to even add more affliction to his imprisonment."
I Would like to give my opinion on this,
Being someone brought it to the Church and made it public, After seeing it in the newspaper Maybe an apology wouldn't hurt, There's weaker vessels out there that stumbles when they see something like this, It brings negative attention to the Church and to its leaders.
He's not asking them for forgiveness, He asks God for that, But apologize to the Congregation for the stir it might cause, and the picture he may have painted. Here is the context I'm trying to apply in Romans 14:13-23. Even though in Romans 14. they're talking about meat but you can draw an example out of it.
This is why I'm against a Christian drinking, It's because the World sees it and it hinders your testimony. And weaker Christians stumble, And it hinders his ability to apply Galatians 6:1-8. When he's trying to restore someone. If you have to drink perhaps a safer place to do it is at home.
Maybe here is an opertunity can be taken advantage of to see if someone is willing to Apply Galatians 6:1. in his case.
Galatians 6:1. Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
God bless.
Thank You!
This characteristic does not mean without accusations from the world, for the world is quick to accuse GOD's saints to harm or destroy their reputation (e.g. Mt. 12:10; Ac. 24:2; 1Pet. 3:16).
Satan is the father of these accusations, for "there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it" ( Jn. 8:44). Satan is the ever-present "accuser of our brethren which accused them before our GOD day and night" ( Rev. 12:10).
The adjective "unblameable" means although accused, those whom CHRIST reconciles are guiltless of all false and unprovable accusations as Paul proclaimed in another epistle ( Rom. 8:33): "Who shall lay any thing to the charge of GOD's elect? It is GOD that justifieth."
"There I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the Mercy Seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the Ark of the Testimony, of all things which I will give thee in Commandment unto the children of Israel."
This verse ( Heb. 8:5) records three terms which demonstrates the purpose and value of the Old Testament Levitical Priesthood and of the Tabernacle that GOD commanded Moses to replicate on earth to provide a comprehensive perspective "figure" ( Heb. 9:9) of that which is "of Heavenly Things".
1st, they served as "the example of Heavenly Things", meaning an exact copy or reproduction of the original and "True Tabernacle, which The LORD pitched, and not man" (v.2). Compare the terms "figure", "pat-tern", and "fashion" in the following references: Exodus 26:30; 27:8; Numbers 8:4; Acts 7:44; and Hebrews 9:9;
2nd, they served as a "shadow of Heavenly Things", meaning it only typified, symbolized, represented, and point-ed to the Heavenly Tabernacle. A literal shadow is intangible which reveals simply the outline or profile of the actual object. The earthly Tabernacle simply revealed a "a figure for the time then present."
By design, the example demonstrates the purpose and value of the original. This example is not a counterfeit, but rather a replication of the actual Heavenly Tabernacle which speaks of the saints dwelling in the very Presence of CHRIST ( Rev. 13:6; 15:5; 21:3).
3rd, they served as GOD's earthly "pattern" which was enforced only temporarily until CHRIST established HIS "more Excellent Ministry" (v.6) as exclaimed in Hebrews 10:9-12.
Right now, men preachers are the ones assigned to preach at Church (main and outreach stations).
There are endless options to serve The LORD our GOD JESUS CHRIST. For women alone, we have a big list we can choose from like in my case, singing to GOD as part of choir members, setting up the curtains, cleaning the toilets, testifying for the manifold blessings, and miraculous healing from GOD (during our testimony portion) and just being super happy receiving The Holy Spirit in The Name of JESUS at our Church. I don't have kids yet but GOD-willing, I would love to have a baby boy for some reason and see him knowing and understanding about GOD's love.
GOD is The GOD of peace and orderliness. HE HIMSELF even chose to be born as a Son of Man to give HIS Powerful Name to us which is JESUS.
The order then is:
1) GOD
2) Man
3) Woman
4) Children of GOD
Now I feel like answering your question based on what I see at our Church which works perfectly fine for us, no complaints:
Only men do the preaching time.
Some moms, sisters, and girlfriends there teach kids during Sunday school for cute Bible study on the side. But most women just sit there and listen during the preaching time.
I haven't seen children preach at the pulpit but rather they just enjoy being kids there. Some attend the Bible study for kids, some join the kiddy cherubims choir, others just cry and laugh - whatever they please.
It's such a beautiful Church. If you're looking for one, please see: The JESUS Miracle Crusade International Ministry
Regardless, please do yourself a favor and continue in the faith in and obedience to GOD. HALLELUJAH! PRAISE THE LORD!
Are we willing to step out in faith for Christ?
Is it Biblical and does it pleases God?
Thank you.
Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou FAITHFUL unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
And they that are with him are called-chosen-faithful, it will take every word not just what we prefer.
