Of course obeying God always comes first, but understand that being faithful to your spouse doesn't come "secondary". They are one and the same, because your spouse is your self, therefore your marriage is dedicated to God. If you're obeying God, you're going to be faithful to your spouse by default, as well as every other commandment. You never have to choose between one or the other. This "first, second, third" way of thinking gives Christians an excuse to say that some sins are "better" than others. No. If you're obeying God, then you're not sinning. Transgression against your own spouse is no better or worse than disobeying Him in any other way.

To my Brother T. J. van Braght (1625-64) by P. van Braght:

A zeal and heavenly desire pervades the inspired strings

    Of David's harp, whose tuneful chords a mournful feeling brings;

When fear of death was strong within, those strains from Zion roll,

In psalms to demonstrate his grief and gloominess of soul.

Such zeal, O brother, did I see from thee, like flashes burst,

As thou the Christian martyrs' death and steadfast faith rehearsed:

Even at the very time when sore afflicted, thou didst lie,

And thou didst seem to realize thou must shortly die.

Wilt thou not save that care and zeal which thou dost now exhaust,

And cease awhile that sacrifice, which all thy strength has cost?

And with the sick and weak awhile from active service hold,

In which, as I have said, thou jas engaged with zeal untold.

Yet, well I know that thou, like Christ, must ever onward go,

And teach the world the word of God, while traveling here below,

To show the world what we shall bear, and what the martyrs bore:

Thou wast, by studying God's blest word, impelled to work the more.

Bear in mind that "her own" is her husband's own, and his is hers. Married couples are not separate individuals; they ARE an individual.

Hello Alfonso! I hope I am able to help, Lord willing, answer your questions.

The answer to your first question is 'no.' It isn't a sin for a Christian to wear jewelry, so long as it is done in moderation. Harlots wore a lot of jewelry and makeup to ''advertise'' who they were in the old testament, but I see nothing wrong with it if done tastefully. God likens true Israel to a bride ( His bride) and mentions jewelry in Ezekiel chapter 16 verses 11-13. If God Himself is fine with it, we should be, also.

The answer to your second question is, again, 'no.' It is not a sin for a woman to wear pants. Some bible thumpers will pull Deuteronomy chapter 22 verse 5 and assume that is what that means, but that pertains to unnatural sexual acts. In other words, a man is not to take the place of a woman in a sexual act and vice versa for a woman. (Leviticus chapter 18 verse 22; Romans chapter 1 verses 26-32) to name some examples.

When The Lord gave His life for us on the cross, He descended into heaven. But, He went to the 'prison' to preach to the souls who didn't have an opportunity to know Him in 1 Peter chapter 3 verses 18-20. To help better understand this, read about 'the gulf' in Luke chapter 16 and 2nd Esdras chapter 7 in the Apocrypha by Edgar J. Goodspeed. Hope all of this has helped.

    Romans 8:6-9

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the CARNAL mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the FLESH cannot please God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

    Hebrews 11:6 (View whole chapter)

But without faith it is impossible to PLEASE him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Mishael: the 11th Chapter of Hebrews is known as "THE BOOK OF HEROES OF FAITH".

We all walk by faith and not by sight.

And God tests us in little things first. Tithing is a total work of faith. On Christmas Eve, I and my son were sitting at a traffic light. We saw an old man cross in front of us; head down in the freezing rain. All the money I had was 20 dollars for Christmas dinner. I asked my 8 yr old son if we should, and he shouted YES. I jumped out and gave the old man a hug and said Blessed Christmas and gave him the 20. We both thought upon him the next day. He was our Christmas blessing! Friends called and said to come over and eat with their family.

It doesn't take great faith. Just simple obedience to the Holy Spirit; who IS God. He never asks us to do impossible feats of faith: just ordinary things.

What will we do if the Holy Spirit taps us on the shoulder and asks us for a small act of faith?

The right answer to your question of what pleases God, is to be a person of faith. Like Jesus.

If you follow Jesus you will listen to what he says in scripture:

    Matthew 11:29

"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

If we want God's Grace (Reward) we must become humble as the apostle relates below:

    1 Peter 5:5

"Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble."

    1 Peter 5:6

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:"

Humility is better than gold. We can't buy humility, but we can pray REAL REAL REAL HARD for it, and hope the Holy Sprit blesses us with it!

    God Bless

The first step to salvation is to believe, that is what I mean many people get turned off from some of the rules of some churches ex no dancing no singing no drinking when Jesus gave the last supper it was wine that was the blood of Christ not juice. Now if that is a problem for some I would not drink so as to make them to sin but for me.The blood of Christ was wine and I rejoice and sing and dance and praise God Hallelujah the lion of Judah has come Fear not.Read about the woes of the pharisees and the scribes blocking some people from heaven and not getting there themselves.Jesus in his love and mercy wants all to come to him,the path is narrow but Jesus died for all of us.God bless you brother for more wisdom on the subject. Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Jesus Christ. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

    Brother Tim,

I agree with Brother Adam who previously responded to your comments. Surely we most do more than just believe. Jesus states in scripture below: he will reward every man according to his work. This does take action on our part, as Jesus also states in scripture below, that he will come quickly and reward those who keep his commandments, and they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

    Revelation 22:12-14

12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city

So, if you believe what Jesus is stating here in the scripture: We must then keep his (God's) commandments and produce good work/good fruit!

Jesus didn't die on the cross, so that all of us can keep sinning as much as we want - with no repercussions. There is no free ticket to heaven!

    God Bless

The wild beast here at revelation 13 is identifying two beast. (is a Man's number #666... 1 John 5:19)

It speaks like a dragon (Satan the Devil is liken to a dragon Revelation 12:7-12.

The Devil and his demons tells lies.- Genesis 3- John 8:44; Matthew 4:1-11.

but believes and shudders- mark 1:23-26; James 2:19 )

Satan Gives this wild beast power, a seat (throne), great authority on the earth. this beast is fatally wounded, mortal wounds (Wars/Billions slaughtered).it speaks great things and blasphemies. (speaks against God, blaspheme his name. (Through the centuries bible translations has taken out God's name. "not this king James". those who translated the bible were not ordinary men but "religious leaders"- Psalm 83:18)

This wild beast was permitted to wage war with the holy ones and conquer them.

( Example:70 C.E Destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans. Hitler Germany concentration camp

slaughter holy ones from 1933 to 1945 etc. Religious leaders supported him and walked with Hitler holding up arms with him) has authority over every tribe, and people, and tongue,

    and nation.

    This wild beat descends out of the earth;

tells others to make an image. (what images can you think of?)

Those who refuse to worship this image to the wild beast is killed.

who are mislead by this man (#666 mark/more then one man) influenced by Satan the devil?

and who is mislead to worship and bow to this image?

All people (Follows the wild beast or with admiration, worships it)

    1. The rich

    2. The poor

    3. The free

    4. The slaves

This wild beast (This Man, a PERSON, He/This mark 666 has authority.

any man who had or has this mark) buys and sells

( Luke 4:6 This Wild beast is very rich from those worshiping and admiring him)

    Hope this helps

    Daniel

    Chapter 5

1Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.

2Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.

3Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.

4They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

5In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

6Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

7The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.

8Then came in all the king's wise men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof.

9Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were astonied.

10Now the queen, by reason of the words of the king and his lords, came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:

11There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding

Matthew 21:21-22 (ESV): And Jesus answered them, "Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, 'Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' it will happen. 22And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith."

Rejoice that your names are written in heaven ... Luke 10:20

atthew 21:21-22 - King James Version (KJV 1900)

21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Matthew 21:21-22 - New Living Translation (NLT)

21 Then Jesus told them, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, 'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen. 22 You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it."

Matthew 21:21-22 - The New King James Version (NKJV)

21 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. 22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

Matthew 21:21-22 - New Century Version (NCV)

21 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will be able to do what I did to this tree and even more. You will be able to say to this mountain, 'Go, fall into the sea.' And if you have faith, it will happen. 22 If you believe, you will get anything you ask for in prayer."

Matthew 21:21-22 - American Standard Version (ASV 1901)

Hello, I'm not sure what you mean by no A B C. If you mean there's no action you need to take to become a Christian, there absolutely are actions to do to become and continue to be a Christian. The definition Christianity is a Christ follower which is an action and choosing to follow Him is your active choice. The current tradition of men is to claim that doing good is bad and that doesn't come from God. Doing good is not the same as trying to follow the law to earn something. Gal 5:19-21 says not to do works of the flesh and if you do those on this list you won't inherit the kingdom of God. And the Bible clearly says to do good: Galatians 6:7-10. Matthew 5:16. James 2:14-17.
