    Hi Brother Ronald.

Sorry for the Delay in responding, I'm working in and out of town, often unable to get to a computer. I agree we all need to be able to have these much needed topics discussed in Love, humility and peace. That's why I enjoy these discussions with you. If you will allow me to get back to you when I settle in back home. I didn't want to appear to be ignoring you.

I would like to touch on Adam and Eve "NAKED" and not being ashamed.

    thanks and

    God bless you

An afternoon meditation. Thinking of giants and brute beasts, If certain men in time, strive after pride and gain strengths in pride, likely for a short time the same may believe they rule the humble.

Hello Prasanth. The question you ask is a valid one & because the Scriptures are not entirely clear on all the events pertaining to Satan's origin & despatch, we can only formulate an opinion based on what the Scriptures do reveal. Therefore, we can get many opinions on this, even yours could be valid. So, as you've asked the question, let me give you my understanding using a timeline.

    a. When God created all things in Heaven (He Himself being un-created), all heavenly beings, etc. were created in eternity past. This was before the creation of the worlds, of man & of other things for the Earth. In Heaven, God created beings such as cherubs, seraphs, beasts, etc., which all had a particular function before God & which constantly worshipped Him ( Ezekiel 10:1-22; Isaiah 6:1-8).

    b. One cherub, which was "perfect in thy ways from the day thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee" ( Ezekiel 28:15), is reference to the one the Bible calls, Lucifer ( Isaiah 14:12). Although, the Ezekiel reference is directly to the King of Tyrus, the wording suggests that the spirit within the king is being addressed & described. Lucifer desired to sit in God's place ( Isaiah 14:12-14), therefore he was cast out of Heaven onto the Earth.

    c. And Lucifer, also called Satan (in Book of Job), was there in readiness to deform God's perfect creation (man & woman) in the Garden of Eden, that they too might become like him, filled with evil & opposing God & all that is righteous & holy ( Genesis 3:1-19).

    d. Though Satan was cast to the Earth, he still has access to Heaven, even as he presented himself to God with the other angels ( Job 1:6,7) to accuse Job (even as he does us: Revelation 12:10). Satan is not chained or confined to Hell now - he roams freely to deceive the nations ( Revelation 20:3) & will make his final thrust through the coming Anti-Christ, the personification of Satan, just as King Tyrus was. But he will one day be locked up for good ( Revelation 20:7-10).

Yes, unfortunately, I believe it's possible that many (as in most) will be (are being) deceived because they simply turn their backs on God's Commandments and believe men's words over Jesus/God's own WORDS.

    John 14:15

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

Those who ignore God's WORD in return for the promises of man, and a so-called easy way to heaven can't end well.

    Matthew 7:14

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

    God Bless.

    Waline A Anthony,

In Genesis 6:4 it talks about the giants, "in those days; and also, after that", We see in those days and also after that we have giants (Nephilim). We see when Israel went into the promised land God gave them a command Deuteronomy 20:16-18. The word giant is Nephilim, which is also in Numbers 13:33, giants after the flood.

The question this raises is, who are the Nephilim and how did they survive the flood? Were these more fallen angels that created more giants? If the Nephilim were indeed half-human/half-angelic then it may explain the many ancient religious views after Babel with demi-gods (half man half god), but we do not find it clearly in scripture.

Also, in the Old Testament, there is the Rephaim (or Rephaites), and the context describes them as giants. The name of these people means "terrible ones" also, refers to departed spirits whose dwelling place was the abyss.

Here are some scriptures that may help your study, Joshua 12:4 2 Samuel 21:16 Also read Joshua 13, 15, 17, 18, 2 Samuel 21 and 1 Chronicles 20.

We do find giants of considerable size. Is there any scripture that tells us where these giants came from? There were not just one or two, but there were many. The descriptions of these giants appear much larger than 8-9 feet tall, a small number of people today.

    Numbers 13:33 Deuteronomy 2:19-21 Deuteronomy 20:17 Amos 2:9

Many struggles with there being giants but all over the world history records similarities of myths of giants, were they real? Whatever the case, there is the biblical evidence, plus written accounts outside of the Bible, that giants did exist.

Are the Nephilim and Rephaim the offspring of angels and human women that became demons and evil spirits after the flood that we see in the Bible? In the Bible there are angels which kept not their first estate, but left their habitation and are locked in chains of darkness until judgment.

Study for your conscience may this help, God bless.

Precious friends, not to Overstep, but, IMHO this would be the best list of abbreviations for KJV Book names:

Ge Ex Le Nu De Jo Ju Ru 1S 2S 1K 2K 1Ch 2Ch Ez Ne Es Jb Ps Pr Ec So Is Je La Ee Da Ho Jl Am Ob Jn Mi Na Ha Ze Hg Zc Ma

    Mt Mr Lu Jh Ac Ro 1Co 2Co Ga Ep Ph Co 1Th 2Th 1Ti 2Ti Ti Pi He Ja 1Pe 2Pe 1J 2J 3J Jd Re

    (1) Mostly 2-digit, and 'Minimal-can't be avoided' 3-digit abbreviations should Satisfy the Maximum 'speed' of the server performance, Correct? Plus:

    (2) Helps typists of abbreviations be Most Efficient in their postings?

IF possibly we could have a 'consistent' list of the KJV "programmers Final Choices," of course, on say, maybe this Page of the KJV site?:

    Link {next to the full names?}

or on an FAQ page, so then all users could 'find, and utilize them consistently,' with LOTS less 'errors and broken links,' Correct?

My humble opinions/suggestions, of course...thanks for asking...

And MUCH Thanks to the KJBO ADMIN for all The GREAT Help making our Discussions an Even More Productive, Enjoyable, And Edifying experience! Amen?

Let's all unite For The LORD, and make THIS site Numero UNO on the net, ok? God Bless!!!

I thought all the giants were killed as a result of the flood, yet Goliath was slain by David and he had a brother
  • Ronald L Whittemore - In Reply - 4 years ago
Sister Sacha across the pond, good memory, Numbers 14:21, we also see in Psalm 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men. We also see when Jesus comes to set up the kingdom here on earth, in Zechariah 14:4. Also we will reign here on earth 2 Timothy 2:12 Revelation 5:10 Revelation 11:15

I agree anytime we study the Bible we need to keep in mind how our fleshly mind works. For most of our life, we function with our subconscious mind with little to no thought at all. We have programmed our minds with traditions, teaching, and things we learn by what we see and do.

Preconceived ideas imprinted in our minds and when we read or hear a reading a picture automatically pops in our mind and it is two steps ahead of what we are reading, seeing, or hearing. A small test, read the following sentence quickly, one time.

Mary had little lamb its fleece white snow everywhere Mary the lamb sure to go.

Did you fill in the missing words unwillingly or did you stumble trying to read it because you have heard it so many times? I know this is not biblical but it could be if it helps study. It might not be we have made up our mind, it is more like our mind made it up own its own unless we can with prayer and consciously clear our mind.

Sorry, I got wordy, love reading yours and Mishael's posts, instead of contentious I would use a saying that started near to where you live, from medieval jousts, you wear your heart on your sleeve.

    God bless,

Sister Debra, prayer is also predestinated, but more often than not, the prayer was mean to benefit the one doing the praying.

Philippians 2:13 For it is (SPIRIT) God that WORKETH IN YOU both TO Will (including prayer) and TO DO his good pleasure.

Is it possible to be going through all the motions and be in the wrong spirit ? Not the Holy Spirit . perhaps the spirit of ant-christ that the bible warned of ...

if so then many could be deceived and not know it .
  • Mishael - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 1 - 4 years ago
I met Iverna Tompkins in Tulsa. She'd do 3 day meetings. She's humorous at times but when she finishes you know the Holy Spirit was in that meeting. Yep, sometimes she would mention women who were over-bearing and rigid.

Men would attend too. She preached in Jewish churches too. Her meetings are so Meaty you feel full when it's time to go. Lots of ministry. Sacha you would love watching some of her videos on YouTube. She comes from a whole family of preachers and teachers. See what you think?

I use that top box (Search Engine) when you enter the website.

Just type 'myrrh' in it and press > arrow

It will go fetch every verse with those words.

By reading several verses you get an all over idea of what it's used for. King David was anointed by Samuel and the perfumed oil ran all down into his clothes. Almost visual.

Israel sells those spices and oils but they're kinda expensive. There are recipes for it in all those verses the search engine finds.

DROP DOWN BELOW SEARCH and you will see the COMMENTARY BOXES.

If I can't get an answer here, I go on google:

Type myrrh, Bible and look for the BibleHub website

I pray the Lord's Prayer at all meals. It's so powerful. I get hung up on just 'Our Father' and head off into praise. I think it's more powerful than covid. Jesus gave us that prayer :D
  • Debra Martin on Psalms 27 - 4 years ago
My nephew recently died from COVID in spite of literally thousands of prayers for God to spare his life. If death is predestined then why do we pray at all? He already knows the desires of our hearts so why bother? This is the question of his grieving mother.
