4. The understanding of a Tripartite God by Israel/Jews would be absolutely unthinkable ( Deuteronomy 6:4). It was only after Jesus appeared, and Him making His Father known to His people, and by His Words, His Life & powerful ministry, would cause some to believe & accept His Words that He "proceeded forth and came from God" ( John 8:42).
Not only Jesus' teaching to His disciples and to all those who would give ear to His Words, but those apostles (and Paul), would then further teach & impress upon the hearts of the Church that Jesus was indeed the Christ from God ( 1 Corinthians 8:6). In my understanding, Jesus Christ had to be wholly Divine & Human - purposed by God for that great Sacrifice to be acceptable to the Him. Any other creation, whether of man or animal to be sacrificed, wouldn't cut it, for nothing else could demonstrate God's Love & a full & free redemption for all who would believe. And of course, the very real potential for failure would exist if a man was created specially for sacrifice. Would God then have a Plan B if that should happen? I don't believe so, it was everything of God or nothing; our redemption hung completely on God taking on flesh and paying the only price that could be paid to secure and seal our salvation. In this glorious act alone, we see & understand such undeserved Love for us sinners ( John 15:13). Blessings to you.
1. From what I read in that passage ( Exodus 30:11-16), the main difficulty arises with "then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the LORD". Believing that even in those days that money could not buy favor with the LORD & thus have man's sin forgiven by it, my understanding is that what was required as an offering of money (half shekel) was for the service of the tabernacle (v16). This then enabled the High Priests & those Levites serving to maintain the tent, their service & sustenance, which in turn allowed them to continually serve & wait upon the LORD, sacrificing (with other tabernacle functions) with what pleased Him & maintained the covering of Israel's sins. Others here might read this passage differently.
2. This question, which has intrigued many over the eons, can never be answered or proven in any way, because of a complete lack of information. Whether the creation of another race of beings in the universe or even on Earth, lacks any evidence except in the convincing opinion in the mind. As you wrote, even if this was seriously contemplated, many other questions would arise concerning dealings by God & Satan, of sin & salvation, & even of a peculiar non-humanoid race. Too many questions that go beyond knowledge & reason.
3. I have heard this about King James I as well, though there is much speculation to his actual behavior & entanglements with other men. In any case, I can be thankful that he wasn't one of the translators of the KJB, rather that in the midst of his doubtful lifestyle, he saw fit to instigate a work to produce a carefully translated Bible in common English of the day, to be read in the churches.

A very vital clue that it is Jesus Christ,"clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:"
rainbow-" there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald."
his face: "and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength."(1.16)
feet: And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace;(1.15)
"cloud: And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle." (Rev.14.14)
The Word aspect of the Son and most of action is a visual shot of the complete will of God the Father so the announcement:"Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?"(5,2)
The Son is seated on the right hand of the Father.(v.1) and the Lamb slain establishes it as the Will visually revealed and shall never change. "stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth./And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne."(vv.6-7)
Before we move onto the section Three wherein we shall discuss the house of God built upon the rock so Joseph as the stone of Israel requires more space here for it overarches to the end times. It has a specific volume which is not what Levitical priesthood based on the Law of Moses can command. The number of condemnation Ten is always used in a negative sense. Ten spies brought an evil report and God tells Moses, "Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;" (Num.14.22). Such a temple has very inauspicious beginning. For instance Jacob curses Levi on his deathbed (49.5-7) and historically we can understand how the temple built by hands did not last long.Jesus dismissed the magnificence of the Herod's temple thus,"verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."King Solomon and King Herod's hands were not clean to start with. They had a bargain what with their political expediency and heavy burden such enterprises foist upon people and unjustied expenses for personal grandeur make the work of their hands profane. Joseph's dreams throw up diverse symbols as sheaves, stars and silver cup is yet another. Joseph tells his steward, "And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken."(44.2)
What is the significance of the cup. It ties up with the Passover, "For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."(Mt.26.28) Leaving this symbol in the sack of Benjamin is an affirmation of his role. Soul of Jacob, " his life is bound up in the lad's life."(44.30) Joseph gives in fives to Benjamin."but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment." Command Number Five for 5oul of man.(43.34)
I will pray for Katie.
Two of my three sons also have been suffering from depression and anxiety since they entered their teens. They are 35 and 38. It has been a long road for them. I pray often for God to deliver them from these condition, heal their brains and bodies, stabilize there emotions and thought patterns into healthy ways, and most of all, draw them back to faith in Jesus.
It is painful to see one's children suffer so and for so long. They have tried various treatments and medications, but have not come to be cured.
I will pray for Katie when I pray for my sons each day. I hope you will pray for my sons, also.
"What is this small scroll? It is the property deed to the earth. In the first line it says, and I saw another mighty angel"
Check the earlier passage,'Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not." The seven thunders are same as seven trumpets which have been announced. There was no need to repeat what the Lamb has broke open. This pinpoints the time to the end of Ch.19. The beast in ch.13 rises from the sea while the false prophet from land ('And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth-Rev.13.1,11). In order to indicate God has reclaimed the earth from them we have this action",and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,"
"another mighty angel come down from heaven" connects with this angel who is ;strng' "And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?"(Rev.5.2)
The word 'another' especially in Rev.ch.14 is to distinguish from the angel who is to interact with John Rev.1.1. He is a fellow servant, Check out Rev.21.17
The little book refers to the period before secon death in Rev.20
"And his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?/ And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying." In order to understand the passage we shall examine the first dream of 12 sheaves. Jacob had set apart Joseph for special and he gave him an extra portion, 'I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren,' and it owed to the dream of the house of God at Bethel. As the heir of promise what Jacob received of God made his blessing as though given by God the Father to his Son. On the other hand when God spoke of the tabernacle he spoke face to face as Moses was his servant. He spoke face to face He tells Aaron and Miriam over their sedition.
What is the significance of the sheaves, These indeed ties up with his brethren approaching him in Egypt during a famine. "And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him./And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them."(Gen.42.8) This revelation gave Joseph wisdom and it is the Word as the basis."Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction."( Job 33.16). Gospel of God connects Joseph to Jesus Christ who of God has become wisdom. This shall explain the significance of the shewbread which is the gospel, the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.(Exod.25.30)
This table with 12 breads was called the bread of His presence or the bread of the Faces.
We shall come to the text where joseph refers to 'and the eleven stars made obeisance to me." Joseph was referring to the righteous shining as stars.(Dan.12.3) His father rebuked him because the menorah had only seven branches that connects with seven stars in the right hand of Jesus Christ. (Rev.1.16) The Spirit connects 'but his father observed the saying.' with'but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.'(Lk.2.51)
Scripture says that the scroll is the property deed to the earth?
I recall reading that the earth is the LORD'S and all that is in it. So, I believe that the earth and all of creation has always belonged to God and no one else. He is the sovereign ruler and owner of all that is.
But, if you can show me Scripturally where it states that the scroll is a property deed, I will reconsider my thoughts on this.
I do not think that a respectful discussion on the topic of whether there will be a rapture or not would or should end a friendship here or elsewhere.
You did seem to ask me what I thought about this topic and I answered truthfully. I do not have a problem fellowshipping with those who differ from my views on this topic as it does not touch on our salvation or on the nature of God that would indicate da false view of who He is on a major doctrine of the shared faith passed down through the apostles.
There are many topics that can be discussed on this forum. Eschatology is not one I bring up for discussion as, from what I have studied, there are at least 5 eschatological positions held by believers. And for many of us, our view has changed over time. Mine has and this is because I what I found in Scriptures eliminated the majority of views. But even the amillennial view does not completely address all aspects of eschatology as I can tell. So, with this in mind, I am hesitant to speak of myself as being one who holds to any of these views without question. I look to Scriptures and try to find what is consistently taught concerning the return of Jesus and the times leading up to this glorious which also brings our resurrection and glorification for eternity.
I suppose that none of us who are in Christ have found even one person who believes the same on all topics. So, we are to hear one another out and take what they say to the Scriptures and see if it is truly taught in the Word of Truth. We are to examine our own doctrines and views against the Scriptures also. If we do both of these things with humility, bending to the work of the Holy Spirit, and without hostility towards others who think differently than one does, we can have peaceful fellowship along with a good conscience.
I know that your aim is to discuss God's covenantal workings in the lives of those who are His. And I think that is a topic we can profit from examining.
Reading Revelation brought to mind the responsibility of character ( 1 Samuel 12:3). When the Lord says that he "knows the deeds", he is not only referring to the action, but to the disposition of the heart that moves it. Love, service, faith and patience ( 2 Timothy 4:7)
As for the false doctrine mentioned, I am amazed at the cunning of those who promote sin as a method of knowing the truth. Isn't that the most dangerous of lies? What grace would there be if holiness were indifferent? ( Galatians 1:6)
Christ, however, places no burden on those who remain faithful ( Jeremiah 23).
God didn't create a covenant with Israel and abandon it forever as I see scripture; but he added implications for the Gentiles who eventually would along with believing Jews be one with Christ in the church ( Rom. 10:12; Gal. 3:28). I look at is as a sort of parabolic curve; where what happened in the past happens again in the future. We are of course referred to as "true Israel" as Galatians 3:29 alludes to; where true sons of Abraham are those called and chosen and therefore recieve all the blessings of the promise. We see even in the Old Testament examples of Gentiles who demonstrated true faith in the true God; just as we see those who were in Israel being judged due to rebellion and unbelief. Put another way the basic principle stood as to the exclusivity of national Israel under God's design for government being a "Theocracy" at the time but it wasn't the end all. We can also say that the laws invoked in the covenants were not the end but a means to reach the end; that is to be part of God's children and after temporal blessings enter into glory where eternal glories and promises are in effect. Thus we have the "great cloud of witnesses" mentioned in Hebrews 12:1 which are summarized in the former chapter in detail.
We talk about heaven but often fail to consider being part of heavenly armies and such which will return with Christ as we see towards the end of the book of Revelation. We don't consider spiritual rewards and ruling over the earth during the Millennium and whatever eternity will mean on a restored and recreated world. We are associated with the head; Christ just as the world is allied with Satan the god of this world. We need to also remember that for all Christ did for us we should ever be grateful; but also that doing the Father's will was THE most important thing; and if it was for Him it should be also for us; His covenant church.
Agape. Rich P
One big aspect about covenants is that we are expected to trust God enough to allow His way to direct us not the way which seems right to a man but leads to death. ( Prov. 14:12). This is a serious matter as it has screwed up many even of the Hebrews 11 "hall of fame" saints due to fear and unbelief. I just mentioned Jonah in the last post and that is pretty mind bending considering the implications of God at work despite the Prophet's lack of will and cooperation. Again; the context of that scripture is relating to those who had done horrible things to Israel and eventually would be judged as the Egyptians and others when their wickedness was full (see Genesis 15:16) on the Amorites as one example. God has longsuffering and we are expected to demonstrate the same; not something humanly possible without His Spirit at work.
Pride; of course is a major sin and dependence on God is looked on as a weakness; nonetheless the foolishness of God is superior to man's wisdom ( 1 Cor. 1:25). Everybody wants to rule the world it seems or create their own imaginary kingdom that caters to them. We are certainly expected to mature in our faith but that starts from being babes in Christ not from self righteous piety through how many verses we have memorized; how many church activities we attend; or how many good deeds we do for others. On the other hand we are to represent Christ and are expected to perform good works He has prepared for us ( Eph. 2:10) since before the foundation of the world. A marriage covenant for instance involves deeds and action; along with any other human agreement. We can't agree to serve an employer if we never want to work; and we can't do very well if we work all the time but complain constantly and treat people like dirt. We are representing Christ and truly are to "put Him on display" as a Deacon I know so aptly states. That means we need to get ourselves out of the way; not always an easy task
The Spirit has been connecting the dots all the way so both Judah and Joseph are blessed,' and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them'(49.28). Of Judah ' Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes." This clearly refers to Jesus Christ 'asses colt' and v.12 His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.
David and Jesus Christ are thus intertwined and it is how the Spirit melds the Ancient of the days with the risen Christ to present us Melchizedek. Of king David he is dead "Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day." Whereas "and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne."( Acts 2.29-30)
Joseph received more than others to which the Spirit testifies,"Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow."(48.22)
Three pillars Jacob set up where the Command number Three celebrated 'After our image' after our likeness and the body of Christ.
Matthew 5:17 says: Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
This is followed by the statement For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. ( Matt. 5:18).
This; along with other statements on moral implications of our thoughts along with our actions and the fact that righeousness had to exceed the Pharisees to make it into the Kingdom of heaven ( Matt. 5:20) certainly leaves us to pause a moment in reflection.
The law; of course is our schoolmaster ( Gal. 3:24) and of course we no longer live under the ceremonial laws and the Saturday Sabbath (although I realize there is dissention on that latter subject I won't get into that here).
Perhaps we need to consider how important the law is now that we are under grace. Life only comes through the Spirit and that is given to us because of the atoning sacrifice of the Son so that He could overlook our own state and the Father would see Him in us and working through us. This is the primary focus I am attempting to discuss; namely how those in the O.T. experientially dwelt among God's presence but not all were "true Israel". ( Romans 9:6). This rebellion led to the unnatural death of the entire first generation in the wilderness before entering the Promised Land besides Joshua and Caleb; and Moses would live long enough just to see it from a distance before passing from this earth. This fact alone is worth some consideration; namely that foreign nations had dread and fear of the God of Israel; so that in particular many centuries later when Jonah was commissioned to preach to Nineveh there was a national reformation of a pagan nation; along with those in the boat when he decided to sail to the furthest location from where he was called. Food for thought. Somehow Israel was seduced by foreign gods.
I probably forgot as likely you mentioned this before. I am not planning on a big discussion on that subject at this point anyway as it is our attitude towards Jesus coming back and serving Him now that is most important.
On my study on covenants; I am trying to best address the implications for all mankind as we all are judged because all souls belong to God; ultimately. God covented with Adam and Eve and in some sense we have varying degrees of responsibility based on our knowledge or lack thereof of Him and His statutes. It is noteworthy that God seemed to work through nonbelievers quite often without their knowledge and no doubt some came to saving faith.
Today; it is hard to know how to pray as it seems increasingly hard to determine the "right" side from the wrong; especially in international affairs. In some ways it is good as increased knowledge has stripped away some of the mythology as it were of our actions in the past that in a large part were controlled by ruling elite as they are so clearly today; as they no longer seem to care if that is revealed. God has His own end game and timing; and many would be predecessors have tried to up the ante and bring prophecy to fulfillment before the time. It is hard to balance not being a conspiracy theorist about everything and trusting what anyone says to find the proper middle ground. And the wars that are fought are with remote control drones and such and missiles; rather than tanks and large scale land invasions. It would seem both a land war and nuclear will encompass the Ezekiel 38 war; and it isn't out of the question literal horses could be used in the mountain passes along with advanced weaponry.
Anyway; I appreciate your input and encouragement.
Agape.
And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,/So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall theLordbe my God:/And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
It is God who reminds Jacob to go back to Bethel (35.1) and the Spirit repeats the names of the place for a purpose. "So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Bethel, he and all the people that were with him./And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel." It is anointed by God for which Jacob instructs his people to put away strange gods and humble themselves. "and be clean, and change your garments."(35.2-4) Subsequently he pours oil ans drink offering, which is mentioned in Num.15.7.'And for a drink offering thou shalt offer the third part of an hin of wine, for a sweet savour unto theLord."
"And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon."(35.14). This pillar serves as a memorial to Luz and to Bethlehem to which we shall come anon. Next we have another pillar that erected, "And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem./And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day.(35.19-29) Bethlehem means the house of bread and we shall recall Jacob's vow, "and will give me bread to eat" connects with the place where Christ was born.
Remember Melchizedek bringing bread an wine to Abraham and blessed him? Melchizedek, the Priest-King validated Abraham so this office shall pass through Jacob and none other. Abraham gave him one tenth and it figure in the vow Jacob made.
Revelation 10:2 - And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
And he had in his hand a little book (a small scroll) open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot upon the earth,
Many of these characteristics and descriptions are descriptions of Christ from Chapter 1. Some have thought, and Jehovah's Witnesses believe, because it says a mighty angel, that Jesus is not God, and that He's just an angel.
But there's some differences here taken with this small scroll. What is this small scroll? It is the property deed to the earth. In the first line it says, and I saw another mighty angel. The word another, and there's two different words for another, another of the same kind, or another of a different kind.
This is another of the same kind, making reference to Revelation 8:3, another mighty angel. There are only two angels in the bible that are called mighty angels. Back in the book of Daniel Chapters 7-12, we have Gabriel, and we have Michael.
Michael is the archangel. He's the head angel and he usually has to do with the business of the nation Israel. And he's constantly at war with Satan concerning the things of Israel. And Gabriel is a messenger. We especially see him at the announcement of the birth of Christ.
This has to be one or the other, either Michael, or Gabriel that has come down from heaven clothed in a cloud and a rainbow about his head. All of this tells us that he comes in the authority of Christ. He had a rainbow around his head, his face as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire, and he had this small book.
Then he takes the position that one would take when you're claiming a title deed to a piece of property. You put one foot outside of the property line, and one foot in the property line with the title deed in your hand. That is the posture, or the position that you stand in when you're taking possession of your property.
Revelation 9:21 Continued
He didn't want out, because there's only one other place to go. We have to understand that the people who reject Christ, and we are going to see about the lake of fire soon and how it was created for Satan and his angels, not for people, but people are going there because of they've given their allegiance to Satan and have rejected Christ.
But can you imagine this rich man, he just wants to be comforted from the flame. It's just like people now that reject Christ, they want to be comforted in their misery here, so they use drugs and alcohol, and all kinds of things in order to try to get away from the pain and the emptiness and the misery of life.
But the last thing that the rich man wanted to do was to be in the presence of Christ throughout eternity, and away from the torment. Everybody that goes to heaven will be in the presence of Christ, in the worship of Him, seeing Him in all of His fullness and all the glory of God, the glory that Moses could not look upon, nor can any human being look upon now. But one day we're going to look upon His glory.
And there are people that would rather be in hell. It's not that they want to be tormented. But they do not want to be in the presence of Christ. And that's what heaven's all about. And so, as these stages go through of judgments, you can't help but wonder why doesn't God just do one big sweep and destroy everybody that has rejected Him?
These judgments are judgments, but He's allowing people to experience the judgments so they can see the consequences for their sin and still give them time to repent. And so, He'll increase the judgments. And people will still refuse to repent.
Revelation 9:21 Continued
If you remember in Luke Chapter 16, the rich man and Lazarus who was the poor man, and he begged at the rich man's door just to get some crumbs off of his table. Well, Lazarus died, and he was taken to the bosom of Abraham. But when the rich man died, he woke up in Hades, which is called the place of the unseen spirits.
Hades is not hell. There's only one place that's called hell, and we'll see that later on in Revelation. It's called the lake of fire. There are different names for these places of punishment. They're like holding cells if you will. But Hades is the place of unseen spirits.
And in Jesus' day, there was a great gulf fixed between them. One part was in torment, those who had rejected and rebelled against God. And the other part was in the bosom of Abraham, being comforted until the Messiah was to come.
Well, the rich man, he wakes up and he's in torment in the flame. And he sees Lazarus over in Abraham's Bosom. Now put yourself in the rich man's place. Put yourself as being in Hades, in torment, and you see Lazarus and all of his buddies over there with Abraham. And they're just kind of biding their time. They're not in torment. They're being comforted.
Now if you were given one request, what would it be? What would be the first thing that you would want to do? For me, it would be like "Get me out of here." But no, he says call Lazarus, have him dip his finger in some water, and have him come over and touch my tongue because I'm tormented in this flame.
Revelation 9:21 - Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
In Revelation 9:20-21, we see the condition of men upon the earth. You'd think by now there would be people complaining. I mean, just kill me! But death is taken away for five months. They can't die. And they're just being stung all the time, tormented for five months. It's like somebody's trying to play a cruel game or something.
In Verse 21, it says neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries (PHARMAKEION), and that's drug use, nor of their fornication, meaning sexual immorality, nor of their robberies (or thefts). After all of this, they still continued in their lifestyle of serving demons, with no repentance.
What this does is it emphasizes the lengths that God goes through to get people to repent! Even after the Tribulation Period, when the whole thing is over, and Christ comes and rules on the earth for 1,000 years, Satan will be locked up in the pit. And even non-believers will get to enjoy what it's like to live under the rule of Christ for 1,000 years.
But the bible says that after a thousand years, Satan will be released. The Lord will remove His people from the earth for a short time to give those people still left on the earth time to repent. A thousand years with the Lord, Satan will be turned loose again, and they go right back to serving Satan. That is how hard-hearted people are.
Some religious systems teach that even after you die, you still have a chance to make a decision for Christ and to be saved. But that is not true. The bible says that it is appointed for man to die once, and then the judgment.
Revelation 9:10 - And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
The descriptions alone tell us that these are not normal locusts. Satan is over them. These are demonic like creatures.
Revelation 9:11 - And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
They had a king over them. If you ever done a study on locusts, you know that locusts do not have a king. They go in groups. Proverbs 30:27 tells us that the locusts do not have a king. But these had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is ABADDON, the destroyer. But in the Greek tongue, his name is APOLLYON, same definition, destroyer.
He is the destroyer, just as Jesus described him in John Chapter 8. He is a murderer. He is a liar. He is the destroyer. These are demonic creatures. 2 Peter 2:4 tells us that there are demons in chains reserved for judgment that are kept down into the heart of the earth. The one usage at that time in 2 Peter 2:4 was TARTARUS. And that's the special pit for demonic forces.
Revelation 9:13 - And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
Remember horns, I had mentioned that from the book of Daniel, horns are a symbol of authority. The four horns is complete authority over the four corners of the earth. It is on the altar of God which is in heaven.
Revelation 9:16 - And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand:
That's a bad English way of using the largest number in the Greek language, and it adds up to two-hundred million.
It seems that we have come to a sort of agreement with our neighbor of him paying us for the land and also paying for all the fees, surveys, etc. needed to transfer the property to him. It is a process and I do not know how long it will take. I hope he indeed will pay us what we verbally agreed. For now, we wait get paid and finalize the matter when all things are in order on his part.
As to how I view what will happen in the end times, I agree with what 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 tells us about the rise of the antichrist and the second coming of Christ. There is no mention of a rapture prior to His coming in this chapter or in any of the passages where Jesus speaks of His coming.
But, beyond what these Scriptures say, I cannot say what will happen as we near the end of this age. I pray that the Lord will keep me in true faith and ready for Him to come again as we are instructed in various gospel and epistle passages.
Honestly, what I have said above is what I can hold to firmly concerning eschatology. I do believe that Jesus has been and is reigning in heaven at the Father's right hand where He ascended to as recorded in Acts. Stephen attested to this reality when he was being stoned to death and Jesus said such things in His Last Supper Discourse.
I do not yet have a strong and firm view of end times, but I know that the Scriptures do not plainly teach of a rapture or of a pause in Daniel's 70 weeks for the church age as dispensationalist believe. I believe that the 70th week was fulfilled completely in the first century.
I have been in discussions on this topic before on here and those who are firm dispensationalists have been quite confrontational towards my views. I am o.k. with that, yet I do not wish to enter into a debate on this topic. That is why I do not enter conversations on the end times very often. I have read up on the various viewpoints and I do think that amillenialism best fits what I know from Scripture.
Think about the fact that we see people attaching these labels according to which calendar company prints their calendars.
Lolololol
"And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine: and Israel heard it."
Israel heard it as he heard the manner his sons had created a stink over the Dinah affair. "And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land." Their deceit and their dishonourable conduct to justify their robbery pursue them even today. None of them felt a whiff of remorse, "They took their sheep, and their oxen, and their asses, and that which was in the city, and that which was in the field,/ And all their wealth, and all their little ones, and their wives took they captive, and spoiled even all that was in the house."(34.28-29) Despite of Hamor and Shechem fulfilling their obligation faithfully,(' and every male was circumcised, all that went out of the gate of his city.') they could jesuitically justify,'And they said, Should he deal with our sister as with an harlot? (34.21) The sons growing up in the house of Laban proved their personalities were licked into shape by nature and nurture. What will you expect with Laban creating a vicious power play along his daughters with their servants as concubines against and for Jacob? The wily Laban set the tone with an all too warm flourish,"Surely thou art my bone and my flesh" (29.14) and this domestic drama matches with what Rebekah and Jacob played against old Isaac and Esau. Yes, God had found Jacob despite of his deceit with a deep undercurrent, amenable to correction. It is thus some saints of old, Augustine of Hippo for instance, were taken under His hand. Jacob was indeed brought to His rest at Peniel. It goes without saying holiness does not let consequences go away. This explains how the ten sons of israel turned out to be shabby Jews and we shall see yet another specimen Judah continuing where Reuben began.
And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day."
Leah is buried as mentioned in the book,"in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace./ There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah." (49.30-31)
Rachel on the other hand was buried 'outside the camp' in a manner of speaking. The Spirit uses this phrase'unto this camp' in order to guide us. "Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach." (Heb.13.13) She is set as the double for the bride of Christ, and emphasising this point we have this pillar erected on the way to Ephrath. "And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem./ And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day."(vv.19-20). Compare it with the pillar of remebrance to which God refers "Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother."(35.1)
The record of the scriptures show many people who had only heard of God but who came to know God .
Jacob was one . He came to Bethel the house of bread . But later came to know " El Bethel the zGod of the house of bread .
Many go to church which is good beginning but do not yet know the God of the church .
Gidion was another . He had heard of all the great things God HAD done and promised in the past . But was asking himself and praying where was God in the present ? As his thoughts drew him to God ,God drew near to him. And as a line of communication was opened and established things began to happen and the whole situation changed for the better .
Blind Bartemaeus had also heard of Jesus of how he could heal the sick and when the opportunity came when Jesus was near he reached out and called with a loud voice
Job by his own testimony had only heard of God yet in all that he had heard it had so effected his life that God could boast of him in heaven . Yet when in the last two chapters or so of Job God began to reveal himself to Job he " repented in dust and ashes "
Isiah was a ( true) prophet of God and for 5 chapters preached what needed to be preached but one day his eyes were opened and he saw God " high and lifted up and his train filled the temple and the angels crying Holy Holy Holy " and he t said " Woe is me for I am undone for I am a man of unclean lips .." I put it to any reader here that the church has heard of Jesus Christ but do not know Him as much as it thinks it does . We have become like Mary who had faith for the past and Martha who had faith for the future but " Faith is NOW " and Jesus said " I am the resurrection and the life"
For God is the God of now the " I AM " of eternity.
Little children you know the father and your sins are forgiven . Wonderful though that is. I think " ye young men the Word of God dwelleth in you richly and ye have overcome the wicked one is better
