People's Bible Notes for Acts 21:9

Ac 21:9 Had four daughters . . . which did prophesy. Compare Ac 2:17. The prophetic spirit in either the Old or New Testament is not confined to a single sex. Miriam (Ex 15:20), Deborah (Jud 4:4), and Huldah (2Ki 22:14 2Ch 34:22) are Old Testament examples, and in the New Testament, Elizabeth (Lu 1:41,42, Mary (Lu 1:46-55), Anna (Lu 2:36), and the daughters of Philip are instances.
