All that believe in the so called rapture, needs to read 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. Paul made it very clear there about the next coming of Christ. The rapture lie is very dangerous to all our Christian brothers and sisters. Be very careful not to rapture right in to false Christ's hands. Please read what Paul said in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. Also read Ezekiel 13:20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

God delights in us as believers to please Him always. The devil knows this and so he makes it difficult by bating us with mundane things that is temporary to hurt God's feelings. The will of God for believers is to keep God's commandments and make our vessel {body} clean from sins. This is the desire of God for His children.

1 thes. 16,17 We're going Home! First time Jesus came , he came on the earth. The rapture we meet him in the air! The next time he comes he will come on the earth again to take possession of it!! the rapture is different..Jesus dosn't come on the earth...we meet Him in the air! I'm going home!

The Rapture is very true. It is when the dead in Christ rises first, then the living who are in Christ are also changed to a rapturable form and they all go to join Christ in the air. Every true Christian should prepare for this as it may take place anytime. Christians please BEWARE!!!

It simply means that those that have already passed away and are with Christ now will return with Christ
No one is dead in the grave waiting on Christ to return. There is no rapture. All will be here on earth. The rapture theory is a lie. Read the entire subject matter concerning this verse, not just the one sentence.

I'm a young believer and iv purposed to study the bible daily so as to understand more. I'm impressed that the scriptures have warned Christians not to poke their noses into other peoples affairs and more so, encourages everyone to earn a living. some Christians have always dwelt on the teaching of sharing and helping one another as an excuse of not working hard to earn a living. I LOVED THIS CHAPTER.

16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout" I love the Word SHOUT. I came back from the Gulf War. I got of the plain and saw my dad, I couldn't wait to shout his name in front of everybody that was there.

Death into the grave we die when baptized,into life we get resurrected when Spirit of God comes in ! When time for Rapture likewise ! The dead in Christ shall rise.. PRobebly like at the cross..all the dead raised first, so will it be at rapture I believe.. Dead saints will come out the graves an rise, an then the living saints will rise. However we will see, or generation to come will see.. MAy we all stay in JESUS ! amen

We have to remember that God is not a God of confusion. Why was the second epistle to the Thesselonians written? Because of confusion. Yes the dead in Christ shall rise first then those who follow Christ by faith shall rise. Let us be filled in Christ and worry not because God has already established the Way for His saints.

THE DEAD THAT WILL BE RISEN IS THE SAINTS WHO ARE HOLYGHOST FILLED AND HAVE DIED HERE ON EARTH, INCLUDING THOSE OF JESUSES TIME WHO HAVE REMAINED FAITHFUL TILL THE END...

THAT GOD HAS CALLED US UNTO HOLINESS; HE IS TELLING US HOW WE SHALL LIVE IN SANCTIFICATION, HOW WE SHALL TREAT OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS. HOW TO KEEP OUR BODY HOLY AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST KEEP OUR MOUTH FROM LYING AND ASUMMING BY STUDY TO BE QUIET.

Paul is exhorting the Church at Thessalonica to live uprightly and to not be caught up in sins nature. He admonishes the church to live a sanctified life,one that is led by the Holy Spirit in order for us to be taken away when Christ returns for the church.There is no distinction however above those who are dead in Christ,beacause Paul states that those who are asleep in Christ will rise first.

Jesus said, today you will be with me in paradise
If we die and are in paradise, who are the dead in Christ? I am confused but not as confused as the comments above.

I believe the lord comes within and without, and the church has missed it because it doesn’t comprehend progressive dispensationalism. Like we have been, are being and will be resurrected not to bring in the manifest sons like a King in a balloon. I ascend and descend with the lord continuously. I hope you can handle honesty.

I found 1 Thessalonians 4:11, a personal blessing. My simple view, allowed me to seek "quiet". I love to talk. During the past few weeks, my behavior has changed. I learned that people don't want/or need to hear my loneliness. I Thank my Savior for His Word.

And that ye study to be quiet ( 1 Thessalonians 4:11). The outworking of study (labor, work) is to be quiet (refrain from working in one sense, to not be meddlesome; keep peace, rest). Jesus told the disciples to pray, lest they enter temptation. The study here would be prayer, the outcome would be to not enter temptation, they would have rest and strength (peace, quietness) in their soul though evil surrounded them. They would cease to work evil, (not enter temptation) they would rest (be quiet). The Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak, we need to study to be quiet.

I think, Garyloyd, sums this up very well, because it is said somewhere in the book of Ezekiel, “to be absent from this earthly flesh body, is to be present with the Lord”, which means they have already been risen but will return with Jesus at the 7th trump, 7th seal. But Satan comes first pretending to be Jesus, doing all kinds of acts of healing… So we are to be aware of this serpent, and pray for the understanding of God’s word so that we may not be deceived.

I believe it has to do with three phases of Christ’s coming. Christ does the three:
- the shout - Christ sending a messenger to prepare the people ;
- the voice - which all that receive and believe the shout represent;
- the trump - Christ appearing.

When your sleep as it is speaking of your death in the flesh but a live in your spirit body. What it is saying is that, them which have died in the flesh will be returning at the 7th trump with Christ. On the return of Christ as spoken of in 2 Thessalonians 2, we will all be changed. At that time there will be a war for about 10 minutes of 180 lbs hail stones dropping on Jerusalem, because it is the gathering place for them that followed the fake who came pretending to be God and Satan playing as if he were Jesus will get his head crushed and everything around him will be flatten to dust. So, when the devil shows up acting like he is Jesus for 2 and a half months, don't follow him to the desert or any place.

The lord has not called us unto unrighteousness but unto cleanness. This text also said it is the will of God that we should be sanctified and not walk in fornication.

Basically this chapter encourages us about the preparation of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. For we ought to walk in the life that pleases God for this is His will in Christ Jesus, by loving one another and avoiding fornication. Also we have faith that our God who raised Jesus from the dead, will also raise those who have fallen asleep.

All these priests and vicars praising God don’t know him. What sort of man are we looking for when Christ returns? Verse 16 gives us a description of the one we wait for! He will be known all over the world, he and his army will be at war with the false Christians. This man is protected by God, and he will stand out against other men.

Who are the dead that will be risen, since Christ is the resurrection.

Blessings in the Name of Jesus our soon coming King. Reading this passage its the encourage ment for us to prepare for the transformation. The key word i think is "Preparation". Beintg prepared as christians, we must go through the ruffest of things. People often times stick out directly on Fornication and Adultary, and classify them as "Big SIn" and they are not the only sin at all, neither are they "Big Sin". If u steal its sin and if u sleep with someone unmarried, its still sin so we must becareful. As its says in 1st Peter 5, Be sober and Vigilant beacuse the advasaries of the devil are there. things we might not think is sin it is.. And we need to stop talking that God will understand, let him decide that.

Let’s not to be ignorant that God said no man knows the time or hour He will come to call His children home.

Fornication is the great demotion to Christian believers , and as young Christians we should run away from it, even on social networks, it is better to not use social network than sinning if it leads you to sin.
