If a brother or sister in Christ is suffer spiritual battle and is in trouble, we must help or we will suffer too. 26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. It's better to rejoice then suffer. Amen

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, even now and for ever more. Amen. I chose verses 27 and 28 of 1 Corinthians Chapter 12. My understanding of these verses indicates that we can first accomplish our individual divine assignment if we unify together with love and faith. Also by coming together under a unified nut, we bring our diversified gifts, and talents to enhance the smooth fulfillment.

"...a more excellent way" is love. Love typically is burdens bearing that reliefs others of their challenges. Burdens bearing is living a life that comforts and inspires others. Being the hands of Jesus Christ to your world is one of the pointers to living inspiring and comforting life. The hallmark of Christianity is the more "excellent way". What speed do you tread the more excellent way daily?

Stephen, speaking in diverse languages and interpretation of diverse languages is listed last. Also, matt. 6:33 states but seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. V. 1 - "..... and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost." What this is referring to is - Jesus is the 'Lord' of ones life, after Acts 2:38. It's THEN He becomes the Lord of one's life, and one can say, "I KNOW the Lord." Jn. 15:14. Matt. 28:19 is a commandment of Jesus: in the NAME of ....."

Many have different gifts and ministries, but verses 4 through 7 shows that God uses the same spirit in these various gifts and roles.

What people do not know that the Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit is the same, when a person gets saved, he receives the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit, the Bible say in Romans 8:9 Now if a man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His, he abides when you for ever, the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is part of the trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit.

Reply: 12:8 tells us "for to one is given "BY" the Spirit". It is made very clear for one to possess any of the gifts must have the inward dwelling of the Holy Spirit and it's enabling power. A person cannot possess any spiritual gifts without the Holy Spirit that only comes by repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and baptism. The gift(s) are given only by God for mutual benefit of body of Christ.

There are three parts to a baptism. 1 A baptizer. 2 A baptizee. 3 The element into which the baptizee is baptized. In the new Testament water baptism, the baptizer would be a minister, the baptizee a convert and the element into which he is baptized would be water. 1 Cor 12:13 is not talking about water baptism. The baptizer is the Spirit. The element into which believers are baptized into is the body of Christ. That places us into His history and His future. Romans 6.

I see it to be a spiritual baptism when we believe the work of the Cross, which no human can take credit for or it would be by our works. God does the baptizing into that one body of Christ.

This chapter is reminding us that as brethren we need each other. We should not fight against one another but we should live in love. What ever we do due to the gift God gave us, we should give god the praise for it is due unto him and not us.

I 'm so happy I read this chapter today. I recently saw my pastor handing money to someone in the church who I know needs a job. I was upset because this person happens to be picky about what kind of work they will accept. I was in need of a job in the past, but I took whatever legal job I could do to earn money to support myself and my family. I don 't absolutely completely love what I do because it can be really hard labor at times. I 'm wondering, If I could do this, why cant this able bodied person do the same thing? There are plenty of jobs open where I work, but ppl in need of work would rather go without money, I believe, simply because they don 't want to do hard labor, even though they need money desperately. Well, reading this chapter, and in particular, the following chapter 13 of 1 Corinthians especially about charity, made me feel much better about seeing my pastor giving money to someone in need. I don 't know why this able bodied person wont take a job so readily available. Only God knows that. But I am no longer upset, because in the next chapter God 's word clearly states that the greatest gift that we could have or do is Charity. When I realized my sin in being upset over, I asked God to forgive me and am now feeling much better and am also more willing to give to those in genuine need. Not to enable people to be lazy or whatever, but to give to help others and let God deal with those other issues in their lives. My job is to love and be charitable. Thank you for taking time to read my comment and my God richly bless you.

God the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit are one therefore they spake one word and one wisdom. Only Jesus is the mediator between man and God. We must follow Jesus love him and keep his commandments, for we will recieved life. God will help us to understand his scriptures coz he loves us and he never forsake us. We must serve Jesus by listening to his word in the house of God.

Regarding v2 "even as ye were led ", please clarify if possible. Does it supposed to say "as if you were led by idols ", but obviously they were not, or that they were led by God to discover Truth, made by God to come to Christ and abandon idols, even when they were astray worshipped false gods, idols .
