76And thou childe shalt bee called the Prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt goe before the face of the Lord to prepare his wayes. 77To giue knowledge of saluation vnto his people, by the remission of their sinnes, 78Through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the day-spring from on high hath visited vs, 79To giue light to them that sit in darknes, and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. 80And the childe grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts, till the day of his shewing vnto Israel.

Lu 1:78 The dayspring. Christ is the "morning light", the "rising sun" (Mal 4:2). The gospel brings "light" with it (Joh 3:19).
