13Who can discouer the face of his garment? or who can come to him, with his double bridle? 14Who can open the doores of his face? his teeth are terrible round about. 15His scales are his pride, shut vp together as with a close seale. 16One is so neere to another, that no ayre can come betweene them. 17They are ioyned one to another, they sticke together, that they cannot be sundred.

41:15 Shut - Closely compacted together, as things that are fastened together by a seal. This likewise is true of the crocodile, but the skin of the whale is smooth and entire without any scales at all.
