38And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken vnto all that I command thee, and wilt walke in my wayes, and doe that is right in my sight, to keepe my Statutes and my Commandements, as Dauid my seruant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for Dauid, and will giue Israel vnto thee. 39And I will for this afflict the seed of Dauid, but not for euer. 40Solomon sought therefore to kill Ieroboam, and Ieroboam arose, and fledde into Egypt, vnto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt vntill the death of Solomon. 41¶ And the rest of the actes of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisedome, are they not written in the booke of the actes of Solomon? 42And the time that Solomon reigned in Ierusalem, ouer all Israel, was fourtie yeeres.
