10Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without feare: for hee worketh the worke of the Lord, as I also doe. 11Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that hee may come vnto me: for I looke for him with the brethren. 12As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come vnto you with þe brethren, but his wil was not at all to come at this time: but he wil come when hee shall haue conuenient time. 13Watch yee, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men: be strong. 14Let all your things be done with charitie.

16:12 I besought him much - To come to you. With the brethren - Who were then going to Corinth. Yet he was by no means willing to come now - Perhaps lest his coming should increase the divisions among them.

1Co 16:12 As touching [our] brother Apollos. Apollos was then at Ephesus when Paul wrote. I greatly desired him to come to you with the brethren. Possibly with Timothy and Erastus. See PNT "1Co 16:10". For some reason Apollos was averse to visiting Corinth at that time.
