please pray for me that I won't die from anything but old age

I'll explain, I have extremely severe health anxietyI have a bad cavity on my top jaw on my very back molar that's kind of growing out the side of my other back molar that's kind has a filling in it. The gum around the cavity seems to be very irritated, inflamed infected maybe? Idk. I scratched the area recently and I'm scared if the infection may cause, my gums and cheek to swell up until I can't breatheor if the infection will spread to other parts of my body please pray that God will keep me safe and keep the infection still instead of spreading and that it won't get worseI'm so scared it will and I have a dentist I can go to but I just feel so afraid. May God bless you all

Thank you so so much my brothers and sisters in Christ in Jesus name amen.

    Dear Amanda,

Just checking back in with you to see how your tooth is doing? What treatment worked for you?

    Dear Amanda,

I am sorry that your back tooth is abcessing from being infected. I do recommend that you go see a dentist because such an infection can spread to other areas of your face and cranium.

Dental work has come a long way in recent years as far as making patients very comfortable during procedures. I have had many root canals, several tooth implants, crowns, etc. and the comfort measures used by the dentist offices make these things almost painless. The use of nitrous gas helps to divert our minds preoccupation on what the dentist is doing, novacaine and its numbing effect makes the repair of the cavity and surrounding tissues painless, and the administration of antibiotics at the time of dental work and a prescription to take at home helps to eliminate the infection.

I have had a few absecesses and one time I did not go in right away I ended up with terrific pain in my face, sinuses, etc. to where I needed to go tot he emergency room for better pain meds. Once I got to the dentist the following day and had work done, my pain was relieved. But the pain from the infection spreading to my sinuses and upper jaw/cheek area was pretty intense. I hope and pray this does not happen to you, but I do recommend that you see a dentist. You can explain to them your intense anxiety and they can employ measures to help you face this with much less discomfort and help you to relax.

I will be praying for you because I have experienced so many dental procedures over my life and can relate to your situation.

    Dear Rainbird,

I am praying for your swift recovery and to have the courage to go to the dentist.

In the meantime, let your mouth soak in Olive oil. Hold it in your mouth on those areas, as long as possible and pull it gently through your teeth-perhaps for 2 minutes.

Ask God for courage to go to the dentist and for an easy and simple cure for your teeth.

In Our Strong and Powerful Jesus Christ's Name. Amen.
