Some of you out there may have concerns that Your Savior will spue you out if you are a lukewarm Christian, if you have kids you know this is not true! Any child of mine that acts up or is bad or is indifferent or... etc. (I have 5 kids) would NEVER cause me to disown one of them! Remember king David fell away for a season and he was called the man after Gods own heart.
  • Lionel on Revelation 3 - 11 years ago
Here in Revelation 3 verse 7 Christ is happy with the fruit that the church of Philadelphia is producing as well as the church of Smyrna. They had what they taught in common. They taught who the kinites were and that pleased Christ.

I pray that we all keep hearing him knock and we want to sup with him. Imi ashamed of myself for thinking its his job to knock.... Open your eyes ,heart, and mind to his love peace and word. GOD is so great and forgiving.

Here I came to know that God is warning the church in Sardis as they should remember what they heard, and accept the word of God and should repent for in which they are backslide and should ready for Lord' coming. This is for all churches at present.

We can fool people but not God. He knows us so well and He has our testimony. ITS GOOD TO BE HONEST WITH GOD and let Him mend us to be what He wants us to be.
  • Jemimah on Revelation 3:16 - 11 years ago
Well i feel for that particular scripture you can't play nice only to ur favourites and treat the rest like trash or a nobody!because love is for all,for the hungry, the messed up, the unjustly, family, dogs, the rich and even that annoying person that's always on ur neck!!lastly our heavenly father is love and he sees right through the heart .if really ur his, the fruits u bear will prove if ur there,in conclusion Abba help us not compromise your word and not leave anything out.from the bottom of our hearts your all we need to accomplish your purpose in Jesus's name Amen........

  • Joelle on Revelation 3:10 - 11 years ago
I find this hour of temptation is when the devil and his army is thrown down to earth after the battle with Michael. I agree, that it doesn't mean the tribulation, it says more that we are shielded from it, most likely because we are sealed and because we have studied the word enough and knows our Fathers voice enough to get through it. So instead of worrying about it, do what we all are suppose to be doing, stay close to God, make Him #1 in your life above all else.
  • Min..Robert Mcfadden on Revelation 3 - 11 years ago

  • Mindy ferguson on Revelation 3:20 - 11 years ago
This is what the word says to me. None of us are perfect, repent and be ready at all times for Jesus, having undefiled garments would be-cleansed from sins, and only God opens and closes doors in our lives,He will make us over our enemies,Jesus is the faithful and true witness. The Lord cleanses us from within,be happy in the lord and repent. When you here the Lords voice listen and open the door way of your heart and let him in. When we over come as Jesus over came then we shall sit with Jesus in his throne (heaven)and for us to listen to God and His Holy Spirit.
  • Richard Cave on Revelation 3:19 - 11 years ago
Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

The healthy adult mind places significant value on the discipline which is required for a healthy, wholesome, and functional lifestyle. The common person tends to reject reproach, rebuking, and chastisement, but given the option to reject these is conducive of dysfunctional patterns of behavior. We do not naturally prefer discipline; it is acquired ability and an adult mentality that allow us to understand the long-term effects of humiliation in respect to God's extended plans and designs.

    If anyone hears my voice and opens the door and I will come in and eat with him and he with me;
This meant; Jesus is available anytime, so whoever who try to seek him, can find him possibly and he'll share his grace with him.
  • Karen Williamson on Revelation 3:10 - 11 years ago
If it refers to the end time scenario, then perhaps it means the church before the Great tribulation will be raptured before the temptation that comes to the whole world happens. The one temptation or trial that comes to mind is the temptation to take the mark of the beast. It will be mandatory evidently for every person alive at the time.
  • Mark Hudson on Revelation 3:16 - 12 years ago
Re: Rev, 3:16, personal experience, I was made to feel unworthy to exist or breath the air that I do from my parents. I understand what loathing is, God saying He loathes those lukewarm, I also found I could do nothing in life, for if you never believe in something and have faith in it 100 percent, you really are lukewarm and can do nothing. For me, it's been a long road by Godsgrace to see that if I don't understand his worth for me, I really am spat out and can do nothing for Him, me, or anyone else.

The letters to the churches are letters and warnings to Christians that some have fallen short, luke warm, not living every day as a to where God would have them.
Even though these are letters to churches back then I beleive that today we have Christians that their characteristics as christians fall into the same groups and the results are the same.

Rev3:19 speaks to me, ever since I became born again I have litteraly seen the Holy Spirit remove things from my life I have always struggled with. My greatest battle, which I pray about so often is that of desires of the flesh. I have left all materialistic desires, I'm devoted to winning souls, I follow the steps of Christ (being kind, meek, gentle, forgiving). But I just can never understand why my mind defeats me in that area, I have never sought counsel at my church because of the obvious fear to talk abou this matter.
  • Anita on Revelation 3:19 - 12 years ago
