Jesus himself is a perfect obedience to our Holy Father, therefore we must also have obedience to Jesus Christ by following his words. We must not a believers only but we must be also a DOERS in Christ. Our Heavenly Father use John the Baptist in preparation of the coming of Jesus. Even Jesus was baptized by John as his obedience to the Father. He came to fullfill the Scriptures, We must be Born Again in Spirit in order for us to understand his words as God will give us the power of understanding and wisdom. We must walk with Faith and not by Sight. Desciples are the witness from the Life of Jesus and his teaching and blessing, they are also the witness of Jesus Cruxifixion and his Resurrection. Signs, Wonders and Miracles are given into Jesus hands, Jesus used and have commanded all of the desciples to continue and preaching the word of God as Jesus promised that he will never ever leave us nor forsake us. Thanks to Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us. Amen

The Bible states that there will be few that find the way cause there are so many think that their so wise but are foolish and unlearned in the word... So sorry for the lost and dying and headed to the devils pit. Jesus is the answer it 's still repentance, baptism in Jesus name and the in-filling of the Holy Ghost as in Bible is the only promise that was made to all meaning everyone...... Acts 2:37-47

Maria, What a humble spirit I feel from you. That is the attitude God looks for in us. The gospel is the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is come that we might have life and have it more abundantly. When the Church was set up on the Day of Pentecost, Peter preached what we must do to be saved. Acts 2:37,38 Repent be sorry for your sins and turn from them ,be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and we would receive the gift of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in tongues.

The Church will be taken out before the tribulation happens. Those fascinated with these signs will be deceived. The Christian is to walk by the Bible 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight: Look at what the Bible says, Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven for the heathen are dismayed at them. The Christian is not looking for signs like the Jews 1 Corinthians 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: The church will see tribulations which are hard times but not the wrath of the tribulation Revelation 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come and who shall be able to stand? Look here 1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. The Antichrist prevails against saints in the tribulation Daniel 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them but not the church Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Look for Jesus Christ to come for His church any minute not the signs for the Jews. Have a nice day.

earlier this evening, the TV via CNN mentioned the moon turning red. quoting Acts 2:20, "...and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: ". That means, the Lord 's day is imminent! Any time now! And if I 'm not mistaken, the Day of the Lord spells trouble for men on earth. Good night and Godbless, my dear brethren.

Yes, evangelist Chatauna Robinson, Acts 2: 38 says when we can receive the Holy Ghost when we can befriend Him. "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. " When we repent, when we get down to the rivers of baptism for the remission of sins. More than stating this to be the condition, this verse helps us to understand the condition of the soul, expected by God if we wish the Holy Ghost to reside in our body. Amen.

First I 'd like to say it 's great to have the Official King James Bible online ministry of different faiths in the King James Bible, that 's what 's still great about America, freedom of religion. I know I have my own faith in believing and that 's in the finished work of Jesus Christ 's Death, Blood and Resurrection. Last I 'd like to say I agree with brother Jacob 's views that I believe he has God 's gift of great wisdom in the Word of God on all his comments he has on all of Acts 2:38. I close this comment believing brother Jacob 's views is needed on the comments that 's been made in Psalm 83.

Hi Annie verse 10 Jesus was letting Simon know that he was going to use him to catch men by showing them the way to truth that their souls may be saved. In Matthew 16: 18-19 Jesus told Peter which is Simon Peter that he was giving him the keys to the kingdom of heaven and as you read following Peter he told in Acts 2:36-47 what must we do to be saved and this is the key Jesus gave him which is true for all of us today until the end. Just keep reading, praying and seeking God for understanding . God Bless

You only need the English King James Version. It is the Scriptures in English. When you need the Hebrew or Greek translation, God will let you know. For example see Revelation 9:11, etc.

  • Jacob on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
When Peter quotes Joel in verse 21 neither he nor Joel, at this point, knew the things involved in a Blood atonement for sinners, applied to the soul by a spiritual circumcision Col 2:11-12 . Paul wasn 't saved yet so the mystery wasn 't revealed yet see Eph chapter 3. Repentance and remission of sins Luke 24:47 is known to them but only in the context of John 's baptism cf. Mk 1:4, Acts 2:38. When Peter is in Cornelius ' hime, he is quite startled to learn that REMISSION OF SINS can be obtained by belief alone see Acts 10:45. This shows that a thing can be there without being known, and that the time of revelation of truth has little to do with the ORIGIN of truth. Acts 2:38 contradicts church age doctrine revealed to the apostle Paul EPH 3 . You are saved today by putting your faith and trust in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. The gospel or good news of the Church Age is in 1 Cor 15:1-4 with no water baptism mentioned.

Acts 2 is the birth of the church. Peter stood up with the eleven other Apostles, including the new one. Matthew was present when Peter stood up to preach just as he was in Mathew 28:18-20 which says the eleven was the ones being spoken to. Note: Eleven Mathew did not pull Peter 's Coat tail and demand Peter to cease this Jesus Name Water Baptism. 1 Mattew was pined some 20 years after the events of Acts 2. 2 Acts 2:38 was preached as written for more than 40 years in the Act 's history of the church. 3 Acts 10:44-48, Acts 19:1-7 Paul clearly preaches the same message of Jesus Christ. Repentance, Water baptism in Jesus Name, Baptism of Spirit. Water Baptism was deluted with doctrines of Rome and of men in the 2nd and 3rd century. All records bible and history state that the Apostles agreed on the method and mode of Water baptism in the Name of Jesus up until about the 2nd and 3rd century. It is clear that this was and still is the True Good News of the Founding True fathers of The Early Church!

Hi Everyone, Do it for your own soul cause if you do not obey the scriptures as the command comes from JESUS himself in Matthew 16:17-19 giving the commission to Peter you will loose your soul and the day of Pentecost Peter spoke and told what must everyone do to be saved in Acts 2. It 's real it 's real and you will never regret that you took the time to yourself and prayed to God above on your Knees asking him to search your heart and cleanse you from all of your sins and of course ask for the Holy Ghost I dare any sincere hearted person to do just what I said, you will begin to fill his presence come upon you but don 't be afraid just keep praying until he fill your soul with this Precious Holy Ghost just try it for your own soul, how could you go wrong talking to the only God above ? God bless everyone!!

Acts 2:1-6 is a preparation for the last days, and the things that will follow are found throughout the O.T. in many passages. The Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord are the subject matter of nearly two thirds of the O.T. Peter did not say THESE THINGS are the fulfillment of what Joel said, and that is whe he would have had to say if he were referring to the cloven tongues, the rushing wind, and the spoken languages as the fulfillment of Joel 2. As a matter of fact, the other tongues are a fulfillment of Isa 28:11-12 not Joel. Israel, here, is being given a second chance to get right after Christ 's prayer in Luke 23:34 . We are dealing with a renewed offer of the Kingdom and it is valid until the final rejection in Acts 7. All those things of Joel were postponed until the Church Age is over. The Spirit hasn 't yet been poured out on all flesh and those signs in the Sun and Moon are yet to take place. You are preaching another gospel in Acts 2 for today.
  • Jacob on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
In the translators to the reader in the front of most King James Bibles a quote says "I do not admit that which thou bringest in of thine own head or store without Scripture. The quote on 3 9 2015 quotes no Scripture. Jesus is not a little g god, He is the Almighty Rev 1:8. Jesus name water baptism of Acts 2:38 saves on one today. That is before the church age doctrines were revealed to Paul see Eph chapter 3. They were allowed to be added to the Church vs 41 but Acts is a transitional book from the Law to grace. He allowed them in that way because the Kingdom Acts 1:6 was still being offered to Israel until the stoning of Stephen in chapter 7. Notice Acts 2:38 isn 't preached again. Peter himself by Acts 15 realizes the shift from law to grace in verses 9-11.
  • Rudy Moreno on Luke 24:47 - 11 years ago
Just a lesser version of Matthew 28:19 .... Still Acts 2:38 .... It took me reading Acts 2:38 , hundreds of times before I was able to receive it with all my heart!... It was taught to me by the same Holy Spirit that Peter the Apostle was empowered with on the day of Pentecost .... Something to ponder

A person can not be saved without being filled with the holy ghost and there is no other name given by which we must be saved Jesus the name Jesus is god and god all by himself . Now baptism in Jesus name gives you this promise and god is not slack concerning his promises. Here 's another secret though its all about your heart and where u are concerning repentance the holy ghost is not given just because you are baptized in Jesus name its given when you truly want it and you break down sorrowfully humbly realizing your desperate need for Jesus to save your soul this can happen with out baptism look at john and the thief on the cross the lord can and will save who he so chooses and who humbly seeks him above and beyond all things although without his name there is no power and there is no promise it is a lot less likely for you to come into the truth and truly accept Jesus the name the one lord and the one baptism

In Acts 2:39 it explains that a person has to be "called " by the Lord JESUS our GOD , to receive this truth ! ..
