  • Mine' on Titus 2 - 10 years ago
Titus 2 speaks about the behavior of a believer, but it isn 't seen much. The world doesn 't see them much neither. When I drive on the interstate and notice that drivers do not obey the law, I wonder where God 's people are? How is it that the world is not seeing our example? This is a very important chapter to all believers, God is watching, and He wants us to make a difference in everything we do.

  • Mike D on Psalms 119:57 - 10 years ago
Jesus asked a question in Matthew 16 26, for what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his soul?, or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? It is said that every man has his price. David is one who proved that statement a lie. In this verse David draws the line and states, God is his portion, In other words, He is where all my desires and affections are. There is no room left, for God has filled the room. His commitment follows and that 's to keep God 's word at all cost.
  • Johnson Ekong on 1 John 5:3 - 10 years ago
For this is the love of God: This is the kind of love that God desire of us our entire day-by-day life must be molded by the commandments of God 2 John 1:6. That we keep his commandments: The commandments of God as delineated in Exodus 20:3-17 must be the defining standard of our lives and we must adhere totally to it, for it is the only litmus test of determining whether we are Christians or not. According to James 2:10, if we are err in any of it, then we are guilty of all. A lawyer of the Pharisees extraction once ask Christ a tempting question Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus answered him by summarizing the content of the two tables of stones that Moses collected from God thus: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. He when further to add that And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matthew 22:35-39. The phrase, the second is like unto it signifies that Exodus 20:3-11 which spells our relationship with God cannot be complete without Exodus 20:12-17 which spells our relationship with our neighbour. We cannot claim to love God if we don t love our brother whom we are seeing 1 John 4:20-21.

I know they are talking about the false prophet and the ritual scares related to pagan practices that his friends gave him. I don t get the mix up of hands and back. Why does the KJV say hands? • Ron on Hebrews 10 - 10 years ago
Are you a Hebrew? Romans through Philemon were written to Gentiles Us! , the rest of the Bible is for 'Our learning '. Read 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV and think about it. Things different are not equal, words mean things. I don 't worry about sins that cannot be forgiven. Christ died for me and paid for All my sins and how many of my sins were future when He died...ALL OF THEM. I know where I am going when I die because God is Not a liar. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you SHALL be Saved. That was written to me, a Gentile and I am not about to call God a liar by overruling what he said by using a book not written to me. I love the book of Hebrews but if you don 't rightly divide the word this book can be a spiritual minefield which will keep you in fear all your life.
  • Motdaugrnds on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago

i do not see a sabbath establishment here for mankind, God finished His work on that day and He rested. Nowhere is there a command or an observance of sabbath rest from Adam to Moses, until the law was given. If the sabbath day was so important why did God not command Adam or anyone to keep it?

  • Esther Abwa on Ruth 1 - 10 years ago
Ruth saw the love of God in Naomi and longed for that love. Naomi 's life was exampary enough to attract Ruth to cling to her and befriend her permanently. Ruth did not reject Naomi on the basis of her age, but rather travelled with her and lived to help meet her needs. How many Christian mother in laws are so accepting of their daughters-in laws today? Prayer: Lord, please, let the beauty of Jesus Christ, his wondrous compassion and purity, be seen in me. Amen.
