14¶ And the LORD said vnto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift vp now thine eyes, and looke from the place where thou art, Northward, and Southward, and Eastward, and Westward. 15For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seede for euer. 16And I will make thy seede as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbred. 17Arise, walke through the land, in the length of it, and in the breadth of it: for I will giue it vnto thee. 18Then Abram remoued his tent, and came and dwelt in the plaine of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar vnto the LORD.

13:16 I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth - That is, they shall increase incredibly, and take them altogether; they shall be such a great multitude as no man can number. 9 years AgoJosephWhen God told Abraham in Genesis 12 1 3 to leave for a place an unknown place later identified as Canaan , he was not told to take anybody outside his nuclear family along. No wonder there was strife with Lot 's his nephew herdsmen later. This lesson to me shows we must try our possible best to follow God 's specific instructions and not just rely on our feelings and emotions. Where we are not sure or clear, it is better to take the matter back to God to get the full details. Presumption could lead to undue stress, strife and problems. However, God uses our experiences to teach us deep truths about Himself and all around us. May God help us to follow the specific divine revelations He has given us for our lives in Jesus Name.Flag
