“The Lord giue mercie vnto the house of Onesiphorus, for hee oft refreshed mee, and was not ashamed of my chaine.”
1611 King James Version (KJV)
1:16 The family of Onesiphorus - As well as himself. Hath often refreshed me - Both at Ephesus and Rome.
2Ti 1:16 Onesiphorus . . . oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain. How different with this faithful disciple, from the rest of the Asiatics! In spite of Paul's chain, he often visited and cheered him. Paul was chained to a soldier (Ac 28:16,20). See also 2Ti 4:19.
